Opis:
The radio antenna may be defined as the structure associated with the region of transition between a guided wave and free-space wave, or vice versa. Antennas convert electrons to photon, or vice versa. All involve the same basic principle that the radiation is produced by accelerated or decelerated charge. In order to enhance the reading and measurement, forward scattering technique is used to acquire more data. The aim of this paper is to highlight the theory part of radiation pattern and the analysis of this parameter. From the results, the radiation pattern of the antenna with a range of 700 MHz with the range of -11.0 dB till 10.6 dB. The results show that the maximum front lobe value is 14.4 dB. The back lobe value is 3.32 dBi and the side lobe is -18 dBi. As the gain of a directional antenna increases, the coverage distance increases, but the effective coverage angle decreases due to the lobes being pushed in a certain direction because there is a little energy on the back side of the antenna. The SWR is high in the range of 1-100 MHz with 106 but suddenly decreased to 10 at 100 MHz. The patterns are very dynamics and it less that 10 from 530 MHz to 1000 MHz. We conclude that The simulation results of this antenna structure are quite good as this antenna structure can work in particular frequency bands with a good amount of gain of 14.4 dBi, the SWR of below 10dBi, and impedance matching around 100 ohm.

Opis:
This paper deals with the effects of heat transfer on unsteady MHD boundary layer flow of a chemically reading fluid past a vertical plate in the presence of thermal radiation and viscous dissipation. The governing equations of the problem under investigation are systems of partial differential equations. These equations are namely: continuity equation, linear momentum equation and energy equation. These systems of equations were non-dimentionalized by introducing non-dimensional variables. We resulted to dimensionless systems of partial differential equations. The fluid considered in this paper are optically thick, however we employ the Roseland model. Simulations were done numerically on all controlling parameters and the results generated were displayed in graphs and tables. Results review that thermal Grashof number intensifies the velocity profile and increase in Prandtl number leads to decrease in both the velocity and temperature field. Increasing thermal radiation intensifies the velocity and temperature profile. Thermal radiation speeds up the convection flow and thermal boundary layer of the fluid. Increase in magnetic parameter reduces the velocity profile as a result of the applied transverse magnetic field.

Opis:
The analysis of the observed 30 years data that include the monthly precipitation, wind speed and solar radiation from Maiduguri, Abuja, Ikeja and Port Harcourt is done to estimate the approximate shift in the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) mean position over Nigeria. The data are separated into three decades (1981-1990, 1991-2000 and 2001-2010) and their monthly mean values are compared with each other and with the corresponding magnitudes over the whole period (1981-2010). The results indicate that the overall precipitation increases southward across the country while the annual mean intensity rises over the decades in all the selected locations. Using the extreme decades, the magnitude of the rainfall in 2001-2010 is higher than the corresponding values in 1981-1990 by 20.84 mm, 9.87 mm, 18.40 mm and 6.89 mm in Maiduguri, Abuja, Ikeja (Lagos) and Port Harcourt respectively. Further investigation in all the locations showed periods of elevated monthly rainfall in the recent decades than other periods; the magnitudes compared to 1981-1990 are between 48.6mm-78.4mm which are much higher than the annual mean intensities while few months with very low rainfall are observed in Abuja and Port Harcourt. As expected, reverse pattern is seen in the wind speed which is generally lower in 2001-2010 than in 1981-1990. The rising magnitude of the precipitation over the decades imply that the ITCZ must have been shifting slightly over the periods to a more northern extreme in 2001-2010, causing northward spread of the rainfall which raises the overall intensity of the rainfall across Nigeria. A persistent northward shift in the ITCZ position with increasing magnitude of the associated rainfall could raise the current severity of soil erosion, frequency of flooding that might cause severe damages and paralyze businesses in Nigeria under such a future climate change. Hence, availability of data with advance technology for studying fluctuations in the ITCZ position might improve weather forecast that could favour farm yield and save lives and properties as climate changes in the future.

In this paper, the non-generalized or restricted second law blackhole dynamics as given by Bekenstein in the beginning is restated, with a rigid proof, in a different form akin to the statement of the second law of thermodynamics given by Clausius. The various physical possibilities and implications of this statement are discussed therein. This paper is a not a mere venture into the restricted second law of blackhole dynamics pertaining to blackholes emitting Hawking radiation but rather a proper scheme in the development of a proper statistical blackhole dynamics. The paper thus considers an interesting reformulation of the second law of blackhole thermodynamics after some revisions and then several main results including the probabilistic formula for curvature at the horizon.

Opis:
In this paper, a numerical study on free convection flow and heat transfer of Casson nanofluids over a vertical plate under the influence of thermal radiation is carried out. The governing systems of coupled nonlinear partial differential equations of the flow and heat transfer processes are converted to a system of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations through suitable similarity variables. The obtained ordinary differential equations are solved using finite difference method. The results of the numerical solutions are compared with the results of past works as presented in literature and good agreement was established. Also, the effects of thermal radiation; Prandtl number, nanoparticles volume-fraction, shape and type on the flow and heat transfer behaviour of various nanofluids over the flat plate are investigated. The results show that the magnitude of velocity near the plate for the Casson nanofluid parameter decreases for increasing value of the Casson parameter, while temperature increases for increase in Casson fluid parameter. Also, the thermal radiation and volume-fraction of the nanoparticles in the base fluid increase, the velocity, temperature, viscous and thermal boundary layers of the nanofluid increase. However, the velocity of the nanofluid decreases as the Prandtl number increases while the temperature of the nanofluid increases as the Prandtl number increases. The velocity of the nanofluid decreases as the volume-fraction or concentration of the nanoparticle in the base fluid increases. The study can benefit the design engineers enhancing their understanding of the phenomenon for various industrial and engineering applications.

It is examined that the efficiency of the PV/T panel is higher than the separate PV panels and solar thermal collectors’ efficiency. The electricity conversion-efficiency for a PV system is about 6% to 15% and in moreover cases 85% of the incoming solar energy is either reflected or absorbed as heat energy. Now a day’s Renewable energy has become a hot topic. The energy researchers day by day making advanced researches to make this type of system a useable one. Non-renewable sources will be approximately finished within next 100-150 years. So this type of energy is very important for everyone. Normally researches are made on producing electricity from renewable sources like sun-light, wind energy, tidal energy and etc. In this paper there is a compact review of solar photovoltaic thermal system. The performance of the solar cell decreases with the increasing of temperature. Both the electrical efficiency and the power output of PV module depend on the operating temperature. Photovoltaic thermal hybrid solar collectors, also known as hybrid PV/T systems are systems in which sunlight is converted into thermal and electrical energy both. This paper contains a combination of basic and advanced hybrid PV/T systems that are usable in Asian region.

In this paper, a comparative study of differential transformation and homotopy perturbation methods for transient combustion analysis of iron micro-particles in a gaseous oxidizing medium is presented. Also, parametric studies are carried out to properly understand the reaction of the process and the associated burning time. Thermal radiation effect from the external surface of burning particle and variation of iron particle density with temperature are considered. The solutions obtained by DTM and HPM are compared with those of the fourth order Runge-Kutta numerical method. Results show that DTM has more accurate results between the two approximate analytical methods considered. Also, results show that by increasing the heat realized parameter, combustion temperature increased and it faster reaches to its constant value. It is envisaged that the present study will create tremendous insight into means of properly managing combustible micro particles exiting factories and production process organization.

Opis:
Anthocyanins are red-to-blue color non-photochemical active flavonoid pigments. Chemically dyes are low molecular weight secondary metabolites. Their distribution in plant cells is mainly limited to peripheral tissues and structures, such as upper mesophyll, exposed to strong light radiation and related to their function as screening pigments. The onset of synthesis and accumulation may be initiated in response to radiation that exceeds the ability of photosynthetic machinery to utilize absorbed energy as well as low temperature or sudden high light exposition. Dyes absorb the excess radiation reaching the plant, minimizing the risk of oxidative damage. We analysed anthocyanin role in light-stress alleviation of poinsettia leaves characterized by low (green leaf) and high accumulation of screening pigments (red leaf). Analyses allow assessing photosynthetic efficiency, chlorophyll and anthocyanin content and distribution of pigments in leaf blade. Better understanding of the anthocyanins function, synthesis and distribution as screening dyes may be crucial for selection of crop varieties characterized by increased anthocyanin accumulation. It may be beneficial as increased accumulation enhances light-stress resistance. Moreover, antioxidant properties and better pronounced coloration make fruits and vegetables more attractive to customers.
