Opis:
A new mechanics of physical objects with negative mass is proposed. Their properties are explained by the positive inertia of any body with a mass of any sign. Accordingly, the principle of equivalence of inert and gravitational masses has been adjusted. Particles of negative mass repel each other from bodies with a positive mass and attract each other, forming huge islands of negative matter. Such particles are called negaons. The energy and temperature of the negaons are negative.

Opis:
Chronic disease is often connected with huge dose of uncertainty. Some sick people suffer from isolation from family and lack of other intimate relationships. Patients struggling with chronic disease seek variety forms of support. One form of coping with a chronic illness is writing about emotions. The main contribution of this article is to present selected forms of coping with chronic disease through expressive writing. Writing a blog is an increasingly popular way of describing patient’s experiences of cancer. It allows patients to express negative emotions such sadness, guilt and loneliness without speaking aloud. We analyzed hundreds of blogs written by women with cancer on most popular websites in Poland in 2016 year. Very important for patients with chronic disease is how they talk about illness and how they treat it. The growing importance of blogging, as well as the increasing availability of various forms of blogging motivate people to try blogging as a way of coping with cancer. It is becoming increasingly a real treatment for cancer patients.

Opis:
The postoperative wound dehiscence is a rare complication of surgical procedures. It is more common among geriatric patients and those undergoing chemotherapy. A more frequent complication is a postoperative bowel obstruction, which also occurred in the presented case. One of the advanced therapeutic techniques in wound infections and complex wound failure (CWF) is the use of negative pressure on the wound surface to improve healing. It is sometimes combined with implantation of monofilament mesh to reconstruct the abdominal wall. A 76-year-old woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer (IV FIGO stage), after chemotherapy, was referred to the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Oncological Gynecology in Bytom for surgical treatment. Postoperative course was complicated by intestinal obstruction and abnormal wound healing with extensive necrosis and fascial dehiscence. Patient required multiple relaparotomies with wound revisions, during which vacuum dressing and monofilament, polypropylene mesh filling the gap in the fascia were implanted. At intervals of 3-4 days, the wound was examined and the dressing was replaced. The mesh was gradually cut, what allowed to bring the fascia edges closer together. During the tenth intervention, the dressing was removed and the skin was sewn. The case illustrates that the combination of using non-absorbable synthetic materials and vacuum assisted closure therapy is highly effective in the treatment of complex wound failures with extensive dehiscence of abdominal wall. The gradual cutting technique of the implantation mesh allows the fascia edges to completely close the wound.

Opis:
Livestock are reared throughout the world, and are an important agricultural product in virtually every country. This animal production systems and climate change are inter-related via complex mechanisms. Animal production influences climate change by emitting greenhouse gases such as methane and nitrous oxide. It is estimated to be the livestock sector is contributing a significant share of global GHG emissions, accounting for approximately two-thirds of direct agricultural emissions and about 14.5 percent of total human-induced emissions when supply chains are considered. Therefore, globally, there is an urgent need to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that cause climate change by at least 80 per cent in wealthy countries and to protect the biodiversity which underpins food production. Dietary manipulation, ionophores, bacteriocins, covered anaerobic digesters, awareness creation and intensifying research and development are among the applicable methane mitigation strategies. Moreover, research bodies are also organizing to deliver findings at an international level; which focuses on the identification and development of technologies and practices to increase food production without increasing green house gases emissions.

Using the analogy between anisotropic acoustic metamaterials with magnetic metamaterials in transverse magnetic mode, an electromagnetic wave of 2 GHz n transverse magnetic mode, at normal incidence propagating through a two dimensional, anisotropic, semi infinite, double negative, metamaterial slab of 800 × 800 cells, embedded in free space, for the ideal loss case was simulated by a radially dependent finite difference time dependent method to study an ideal acoustic cylindrical cloak. For the simulations multiple cycle m-n-m pulses generating Gaussian beams were used as sinusoidal hard line sources. The simulations for acoustic cylindrical cloaking by a reduced parameter model and a higher order parameter model are also presented. The cloaking behaviour is largely dependent upon the transformation and not on the thickness of the cloak. The radial dependent model and the higher order transformation model are suited for acoustic cloaking.

I think that far-away travels into Space are possible in the way that it is possible to find again people on our Earth, after the return of a very long travel into Space, not aged, like the people who have traveled inside the spacecraft. Current physics does not allow this and I have developed the following Theory which would thus complement the current Theory of General Relativity when we go to the limits of the reasoning. Current Theories like General Relativity or Quantum Mechanics are not impacted when the reasoning is not pushed to the limits. My reasoning at the limits just complements current Theories when the parameters take extreme values and thus the logic of current physics is respected.

Opis:
The gravitational interactions of particles with positive, negative and imaginary masses are considered from the point of view of the Einstein Equivalence Principle (EEP) of inert and gravitational masses, as well as three other possible principles of equivalence based on the equality of the gravitational mass to the inertial mass module. Several interpretations of the imaginary movement are proposed. It is shown that, on the basis of EEP, particles with negative or imaginary negative mass will be scattered, but when they interact with particles of positive mass and with each other, “strings” (“dipoles” or “one-dimensional atoms”) and “multidimensional atoms” can form. On the basis of three other principles of equivalence, the formation of such objects is impossible. Negative masses in these variants form colonies, with acceleration moving away from ordinary positive matter.

Opis:
The study involved synthesis of Zinc Oxide nanoparticles using biological and chemical reducing agents. The aim was to compare the yield, nature and antimicrobial activity of nanoparticles. Nanoparticles synthesized by the two methods were characterized by FTIR Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Xray (EDAX), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). In biological method, Pithecellobium dulce and Lagenaria siceraria leaf extract; and in chemical method, sodium hydroxide was used as reducing agents. Antibacterial study was carried out on gram-positive and gram negative bacterial strains by disc diffusion method. The biologically synthesized ZnO Nanoparticles showed better antimicrobial activities with respect to the activities of synthetic drugs than chemical method. Antioxidant potential of synthesized nanoparticles was assessed through 2,2–diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method.
