    Opis:
    When implementing projects on motor roads, financial and economic analysis of specific projects are usually provided. This article deals with the mathematical model which enables to analyze the entirety of projects on the motor road network with the view of determining which of them would give benefit to society the fastest and could be given priority in case of implementation. By applying this model and using the LP search (abbreviation from Russian Linear search) multi-criteria optimizing method, it is possible to calculate the project payoff time and an expected profit through the reduction of public costs. Also, an example on realization of the model is provided with calculation of the benefit that society receives if gravel road is paved.

    It is important to evaluate the impact of economic fluctuations on the transport sector operational efficiency, since such an analysis is a source of economic information which contributes to the identification of the sector's potential and advantages, the establishment of the risky areas of activity, and the exploration of the opportunities to increase its effectiveness. The aim of the study was to apply mathematical evaluation methods to the exploration of the operational efficiency of the Lithuanian transport sector companies and, based on the outcomes, to validate the opportunity of predicting a potential change of the economic cycle. The operational efficiency of the Lithuanian transport sector was analysed in the context of the cyclical national economy, and not in individual economic boom or recession periods, as that allowed for more detailed evaluation of the specific activities of the sector and its impact on Lithuanian economy. To achieve the aim, three different stages of the economic cycle in Lithuania were identified, and calculations were made during them. Based on the aggregate financial data, four different economic efficiency indicators were developed that reflected the efficiency level of the entire transport sector, and the sensitivity of the transport sector to economic fluctuations was identified. The comparison of the changes in the transport sector and in Lithuanian economy made it obvious that the level of the sector's operational efficiency could be regarded as a leading indicator of the economic cycle.

    There is a need for vehicle relocation, whether for delivering new vehicles to their selling destinations, pulling inoperative or damaged vehicles out of traffiic, or removing illegally parked vehicles from the street. The relocation of illegally parked vehicles in the City of Zagreb is done by constantly monitoring parked vehicles or through citizen telephone alerts. The paper analyses the vehicle relocation service of the Zagrebparking company, which, in addition to overseeing car park management in public car parks and garages, is in charge of removing illegally parked vehicles. Due to the cyclic nature of its operations, a high share of empty rides, high vehicle investment costs, small quantities of cargo transported, high fuel prices, and high fuel consumption in the urban environment, Zagrebparking’s Vehicle Relocation Department operates with unnecessarily high costs. In this paper, vehicle relocation efficiency is analysed by presenting indicators of vehicle utilisation as part of a systematic evaluation of the company. Improvements to the current service are also provided.

    The work presents a methodology that allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of the system in accordance with accepted standards in terms of the three components of the “passenger–carrier–department” system, taking into account the interests of each side. The given comprehensive effectiveness evaluation of the urban public passenger transport system shows that a new scientific idea consists in forming fundamentally new sets of indicators for each participant of the system (passenger–carrier–department of transport) that correspond to the conditions of functioning of the urban passenger transport system in Russian Federation. The article presents a classification model for the formation of a basic system of indicators and a functional scheme for grouping and ranking them. The effectiveness of the urban public passenger transport system can be considered separately for each participant in the system from its side, in two directions: horizontal (by year, for example, for an enterprise) and vertical (in the current period for all participants).
