Opis:
With the aim of determination of the influence of Waldorf approaches to the organization of the pedagogical process on the quality of education of Ukrainian junior schoolchildren, the presented experimental research was carried out over the period 2014 – 2016. Third grade schoolchildren of general educational institutions were involved in the experimental research. The organizational forms and methods of Waldorf school were implemented. They were: rhythmic organization of the pedagogical process, artistic teaching, limited use of standard textbooks and schoolchildren’s work on drawing up their own work notebooks, involvement of art elements in the study of all subjects, differentiated exercises for children with different types of temperament, use of active-practical projects, active exercises and games. The positive influence of Waldorf approaches on the quality of schoolchildren’s knowledge (fullness of knowledge and level of their assimilation) and development of their personal- motivational sphere (junior schoolchildren’s attitude to learning, levels of their cognitive activity) was detected. An increase in the level of schoolchildren’s activity and autonomy in educational-cognitive activity was found. The obtained data makes it possible to disseminate Waldorf educational experience for improving the quality of education of junior schoolchildren.

Opis:
The article discusses changes in education management methods over the past decades on a Europe wide scale, a process of finding a balance between autonomy for schools and teachers on the one hand and the responsibilities of the government and public authorities on the other. Particular attention will be paid to the situation in post communist countries, where given the tradition of a strongly centralised education system, finding such a balanced is a very complicated problem. In decentralised education with broad autonomy for schools, there is a greater importance placed on external evaluation, systematic monitoring and the assessment of schools. This however assumes precisely defined assessment criteria, that is, the concepts of quality in education, good quality, effective, good school. To date, an accord has not been reached in the Czech Republic (between politicians, specialists and the public) on what is a good quality, good school, which is a serious obstacle to the internal transformation of schools. Empirical research is currently underway, which it is hoped shall contribute to the solution of the question – What is a good quality, good school? By which attributes can it be identified? Which attributes or characteristics will be considered key to the concept of a good quality, good school? What types of research instruments are best suited to investigate the quality of schools? The indicators of a good quality, good, effective school and the possibilities for their verification, are being investigated with an emphasis on the procedural approach –investigating education processes at a specific class level. The article presents selected research results, in particular those related to the verification of suitable research instruments (questioning techniques and especially monitoring real tuition) in the case study of one school. The possibilities and limits of quantitative and qualitative methods in determining the quality of schools are discussed.

Opis:
The article is devoted to evaluation of criteria and indicators of the measuring of university education quality. On the basis of an expert interview of the teaching/academic staff of the Institute of Human Sciences of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, three main criteria were identified (resourses of educational activities, organization of educational activities, the results of specialist training) and their indicators (the level of teaching/academic staff, students as subjects of education, material base, information and methodological support, technologies of training and education, presentation of educational achievements, competitiveness of graduates at the job market, professional achievements of graduates). The proposed criteria and indicators of the quality of education measuring made it possible to evaluate a methodology of measuring/monitoring of university education quality, which is the innovation of our research. A wheel model, whose rung is a criterion indicator, was included in the basis of the methodology of measuring/monitoring of the quality of education. Each rung is also a separate indicator measuring scale and it is divided into ten conditional labels.

This paper examines the styles and approaches to learning in contemporary higher education students. These individual characteristics are seen as results of the interaction between student individuality and the learning environment stimuli. The presented research is based on the assumption of existing interactions among the nature of study environment, the student’s approach to learning and his/her study effectiveness. Research results confirm this assumption and enable to analyze findings in the context of a specific learning environment.

Opis:
The article attempts to analyse the issue of students with autism spectrum disorders who attend two types of educational institutions – integrated classes in mainstream state school and special education institutions with separate classes for students with autism. Popularity and availability more often than effectiveness affect the choice of an educational institution. Parents’ decisions may also stem from lack of awareness of the scope of educational activities conducted in each institution. One of the measures of educational success is the evaluation of the quality of life in certain spheres of students’ lives.

This study aims to analyse the validity and reliability of instruments to assess students’ perceptions of the lecture approach in the form of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT). The quantitative method with a survey research design was carried out using purposive sampling of all sixth-semester students from various cross-cultural and regional areas in Indonesia. The overall total of research subjects was 238. The non-test instrument consisted of 23 items grouped into three components. Content validity was carried out by focus group discussions involving experts in learning strategies, psychology, education, and culture. Construct validity was formed in three components, each with a p-value in the fit category. Moreover, the reliability was calculated using Cronbach’s Alpha scoring 0.946 for all items.
