    This paper addresses the following ąuestions: 1) what is the national language, 2) what is the relation between national language and standard language, and 3) how and to what extent is the national style associated with the national language and standard language. According to the author, there are two basie types of national styles - literary (standard) and non-literary (nonstandard). Each national style characterizes two national markings - the expressive and functional stylistic. In the main part o f the analysis the basie expressive functional stylistic differences between the national styles of Śtokavian peoples (Serbs, Croats, Bosniaks and Montenegrins) are demonstrated.

    The author considers the problem of language identity in perspective of its deter- mination by social and cultural factors. In the context of contemporary Eastern Europe (especially Russia), the following factors are taken into consideration: postmodernism, postcommunism, postcolonialism, and state-clan capitalism. The author writes about the paradigm of the simulation as a characteristic of the Russian national identity. Simulation is carried out in the regular use of approximate and non-adequate names, not only in marketing communication, politics and journalism, but also in the sphere of social sciences and the humanities.The author has analyzed some specific cases of aberrative nomination, such as an ‘extramural scientific conference’, ‘university’ or‘cognitive linguistics’.

    The article confirms that Taras Shevchenko is the creator and founder of the new Ukrainian literary language. His language use promoted the establishment and advance- ment of the literary norm in the word usage, word formation, the functioning of grammatical forms and syntax constructions, as well as in the word emphasis, in the fixed tone of the intonation in the Ukrainian language, etc. One of the criteria for literary norm is the influence of a recognized writer who establishes the aesthetic content of the literary norm. Shevchenko’s writings are marked by occasional use of alternative forms, lack of spelling consistency, and differences in word usage as compared to the modern literary standards. Despite this, the forms consistent with the literary standards prevail. The linguistic and aesthetic canons of Shevchenko’s writing were definitive in promoting stability and common usage of the literary norm. The linguistic and aesthetic canons of Shevchenko’s poetry combine specific sensory means of verbalized real and idealized life in dialogues and monologues of lyrical and narrative texts. The phenomenon of addressing a third party or self actualizes lexical, phraseological, and grammar units that convey an intimate relationship to everything arising inside a poet’s imagination, provoking thought, calling for self-expression. The aesthetic process encompasses the activities of a human life, the national history symbols, the beauty of nature, humans, means of expressing the dynamics of human feelings. The author’s thoughts and emotions influence the reader not only through the depiction of society and everyday life, the usage of national and linguistic symbols, or content common to all human beings, by also through frequent usage of objective structures and linguistic forms. The law of analogy provides that these forms are valuable in the context of symbolic, ideal literary norm.The linguistic and aesthetic canon of Shevchenko’s poetry expands the function of folk and spoken elements as sources for creating poetic forms within the stylistic paradigm of the modern Ukrainian language. The spoken emotional and expressive structures elevated by the high poetry diversify poetic expression and provide detailed images for abstract notions.   511

    Opis:
    We are going to deal with the Czech verbs 'jiskrit', 'zajiskrit', 'skripat', 'zaskripat', 'vrit', 'praskat' that are used as a metaphor in non-subjective syntactical constructions with the expletive 'to'. Those verbs can indicate various meaning and function. The verbs 'jiskrit', 'zajiskrit' indicate positive or negative people's relationship (Mezi Zielencem a Rumlem to jiskrilo.), mental condition of people (V ocich ji to vesele zajiskrilo.) or atmosphere in the groups of people (S jejich prichodem to ve vzduchu okamzite zacalo jiskrit). The verbs 'skripat', 'zaskripat' indicate negative people's relationship (Mezi Victorii a jeji matkou to hrozne skripe.) or atmosphere in the groups of people (Na zacatku pripravy to v týmu skripalo kvuli oddilove prislusnosti.). The verb 'vrit' indicates almost mental condition of people and strong emotion (Kdybys jen vedela, Kitty, jak to ve mne pri tom nadáváni a pomlouváni vre). We are going to try to substitute the sentences with the verbs 'jiskrit', 'skripat', 'vrit', 'praskat' and with the expletive 'to' by the sentences without 'to' and to compare both type of sentences. We are going to recognize using of those verbs in the texts of various stylish spheres and in the texts with the language means of various stylish features (stylish neutral features, expressive features, terminology...). The sentences and short texts with the verbs 'jiskrit', 'zajiskrit', 'skripat', 'zaskripat', 'vrit', 'praskat' shall be in the texts of Czech national corpus SYN2000.

    Univerbization is a process of word-formation by which the words of a compound lexeme or of a syntactic construction fuse into a single word/one-word lexeme: that one-word lexeme is called univerbizate (in Czech univerbizát - a result of the process of univerbization), for example: světový rekord (world rekord - compound lexeme) - svěťák (an „univerbizate”); mikrovlnná trouba (microwave oven - compound lexeme) - mikrovlnka (an „univerbizate”). The „univerbizates” are almost derived by suffix from one of the word of compound lexeme (světový - svěťák, mikrovlnný - mikrovlnka). Czech national corpus evidences that there are many „univerbizates” in contemporary Czech texts. We are going to find the „univerbizates” in corpora SYN2000, SYN2005, SYN2006pub that have the same language form and different meaning, but we assume that the meaning of the „univerbizates” with the same language form are connected with one another. The univerbizates can have the same language form like: - other „univerbizates”, for example dvouletka means: a) dvouletá rostlina, for example pupalka dvouletá (evening primrose); b) dvouleté období (two-year/biennial cycle); - other words, that are not called „univerbizates”, for example dopravák a) dopravák (an „univerbizate”) means dopravní policista (traffic policeman, transit cop); b) when dopravák means zaměstnanec ve sféře dopravy („some persone working in the sphere of transportation and traffic”), it is not an „univerbizate”. We are going to deal with process of „univerbization” by which words of various compound lexeme or various syntactic structures fuse into the same one-word lexeme. We will compare frequency of them and stylish characteristics.
