The article refers to the issues of socio-economic clusters embedded in the health care market, with a particular focus on regional initiatives. W wykonanych szacunkach prognostycznych dotyczących wpływu zmian demograficznych na stan zdrowia i potrzeby ochrony zdrowia wykazano, że tylko z powodu starzenia się ludności wzrośnie odsetek populacji obarczonej niepełnosprawnością i chorobami przewlekłymi, co zwiększy zarówno potrzeby, jak i wydatki na świadczenia medyczne oraz usługi opiekuńcze; nastąpi także zwiększenie udziału pacjentów leczonych w szpitalach. W piśmiennictwie światowym kwestionowane jest przekonanie, iż starzenie się populacji odgrywa główną rolę w gwałtownym zwiększaniu kosztów opieki medycznej i związanych z tym problemów w funkcjonowaniu ochrony zdrowia. Podkreśla się natomiast istotny wpływ, trudno poddającego się kontroli, wzrostu cen leków i sprzętu medycznego oraz kosztów administracyjnych. W konkluzji przeprowadzonej dyskusji autorzy podkreślają, że wyzwaniom wynikającym z rozwoju procesów demograficznych do 2035 r. powinna sprostać odpowiednia polityka zdrowotna skierowana zarówno na systemowe, adresowane do wszystkich grup wieku ludności, działania w zakresie promocji zdrowia, profilaktyki zagrożeń i chorób oraz restytucji zdrowia, jak i na racjonalizację gospodarki lekami, aparaturą i sprzętem medycznym oraz na optymalizację kosztów administracyjnych.
Prognostic estimates concerning the impact of demographic changes on health status and health needs demonstrated that the proportion of the population burdened with disability and chronic diseases would increase only because of aging process, which would increase both the need for and the cost of medical and nursing services; the share of patients treated in hospitals would consequently increase. In the world literature, the belief that the aging of the population plays a major role in the rapid increase of costs of medical care and pertaining problems in the functioning of the health care is questioned. But a significant impact of a hardly controllable growth of prices of medicines and medical equipment, as well as administrative costs is emphasized. In conclusion of the discussion, the authors stress that the challenges resulting from the development of demographic processes by 2035 should be accompanied by an appropriate health policy aimed at systematic actions addressed to all age groups of the population and concerning health promotion, prevention of risks and diseases and restoration of health, on the rationalization of medicines, medical equipment and apparatus, and the optimization of administrative costs.

Sense of citizens' health security is one of the most important components of quality of life. Ensuring security in this area is the subject of the activities described in various policies and strategies of the state. One of the specific conditions of the health security of the state is to ensure the availability of human blood treated as a drug. In Poland, the environment in which it is implemented management of blood resources in blood donation system. Blood donation system is composed of independently functioning blood supply chains, implementing flows (blood and its components) from donor to recipient. The success of the system, and thus the chain ensuring availability of blood (as a drug) a sufficiently high level. The availability of blood as a raw material is dependent on the demographic population, as well as its willingness to honour the donation. In this paper the author presented the important relationship between the above factors and components.

Proces starzenia się ludności w Polsce powoduje gwałtowny wzrost zapotrzebowania na usługi świadczone m.in. przez system ochrony zdrowia. Osoby starsze częściej korzystają z usług zdrowotnych i generują wyższe koszty niż pozostała część ludności. Dlatego też należy uświadamiać społeczeństwu, iż od najmłodszych lat należy budować kapitał zdrowia, który w późniejszych latach życia będzie miał wpływ na lepszy stan zdrowia. Takie działania mogą częściowo przysłużyć się do spadku popytu na usługi zdrowotne zgłaszane przez osoby starsze.
Aging process the population in Poland causes a rapid increase in demand for services among others the health care system. Older people often use health services and generate higher costs than the rest of the population. Therefore, the public should be made aware that from an early age to build health equity, which in the later years of life will have an impact on their health. Such activities may partly serve to decrease demand for health services reported by older people.

Skuteczny system zarządzania współczesną jednostką ochrony zdrowia zdeterminowany jest szeregiem czynników. Pośród nich znajdują się jakość i przejrzystość otrzymywanych danych o charakterze finansowym. Wsparcie w tym zakresie proponują rozwiązania zawarte w systemach informatycznych. W prezentowanym artykule przedstawiono specyfikę rachunku kosztów w jednostce ochrony zdrowia oraz możliwości wykorzystania wsparcia systemu informatycznego w tym zakresie.
Nowadays, the functioning of health care units in particular is determined by the effectiveness of decision-making and, above all, decisions of a financial nature. A tool that provides management information on the effectiveness of management in this regard is costing. Place the traditional approach of accounting systems today occupy solutions tasked indicate the first accurate picture of the financial situation and secondly to act in real time to support effective controlling system. The aim of the article is to present the essence of the bill of costs in the healthcare units and support solutions in this area used in the selected unit of health care.

System ochrony zdrowia stoi w obliczu wyzwań związanych ze zmianami demograficznymi i ograniczonymi możliwościami wzrostu nakładów finansowych na zdrowie. Wzrost liczby ludzi starszych w życiu społecznym na skutek wydłużania się przeciętnego dalszego trwania życia oraz osiąganie wieku starości demograficznej, a także spadek liczby urodzeń w ostatnich latach będą powodować narastanie problemów związanych z zaspokojeniem potrzeb zdrowotnych. Wobec zjawiska przesuwania się ludności z grupy wieku produkcyjnego do grupy w wieku poprodukcyjnym spadać będą wpływy do Narodowego Funduszu Zdrowia poprzez utrzymywanie się niskiego poziomu aktywności zawodowej ludności Polski, co w efekcie zmniejsza liczbę osób opłacających składkę na ubezpieczenie zdrowotne. Powstrzymanie kryzysu demograficznego i ograniczenie negatywnych konsekwencji wymaga podjęcia głębokich reform systemowych, w szczególności w takich obszarach jak: ochrona zdrowia, pomoc społeczna, polityka zatrudnienia, ubezpieczenia społeczne oraz polityka rodzinna.
The health care system is facing the challenges of demographic change and growth opportunities limited financial outlays for health. The increase in the number of older people in society due to longer average life expectancy and the achievement age demographic aging and declining birth rates in recent years will lead to widespread problems with meeting health care needs. The phenomenon of moving the population of productive age group to group retirement age will fall proceeds to the National Health Fund by maintaining a low level of economic activity of the Polish population, which in turn reduces the number of people paying premiums for health insurance. Halting the demographic crisis and limit the negative consequences requires a deep systemic reforms, in particular in areas such as health care, social assistance, employment policy, social security and family policy.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie znaczenia narzędzi internetowych w usprawnianiu funkcjonowania ochrony zdrowia w Polsce. Przedstawiono wyniki badań pokazujących, jakie narzędzia mogą zaoferować placówki medyczne w Polsce, a do jakich chcieliby mieć dostęp pacjenci. W artykule została zaprezentowana również specyfikacja funkcjonalności, jakie powinien posiadać portal korporacyjny przeznaczony dla placówek medycznych, oraz wytyczne do tworzenia portali korporacyjnych dla zakładów opieki zdrowotnej. W opracowaniu zastosowano kwerendę bibliograficzną oraz przytoczono wyniki badań własnych.
The aim of the paper is to show the importance of web tools in improving the functioning of healthcare organizations in Poland. The results of studies showing what tools healthcare facilities can offer and to which patients would like to have access were presented. The article also presents the guidelines for designing and creating corporate portals for healthcare facilities. In the paper the bibliographic query and the results of own research were used.

W ostatnim czasie można zauważyć pojawiającą się presję na potrzebę poprawy jakości i bezpieczeństwa pacjentów w podmiotach leczniczych, także na konieczność poprawy efektywności funkcjonowania tych jednostek. W literaturze przedmiotu i praktyce zarządzania istnieje wiele modeli systemów pomiaru wyników organizacyjnych. Konieczna jest identyfikacja obecnie stosowanych systemów miar wyników w podmiotach leczniczych i taka ich modyfikacja/przeprojektowanie, by spełniały oczekiwania obiektywizacji oceny dokonań podmiotów leczniczych. Celem opracowania jest rozpoznanie zestawu stosowanych miar pozwalających na ustalenie stopnia pomiaru dokonań w wybranych do badań podmiotach leczniczych. Na potrzeby badań przyjęto następującą hipotezę: stosowane systemy miar wyników organizacyjnych w badanych podmiotach leczniczych nie sprzyjają efektywnej działalności tychże placówek.
In recent times, we can notice the need to improve service quality and patient safety in health care organizations, the need to improve the efficiency of the operations in these units. There are many models of performance measurement systems in management professional literature and business practice. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the current shape of performance measurement system in these organizations and to modify or redesign it to meet modern manager’s expectations in field of healthcare management. The aim of this paper is to recognize and assess the types of measures, which are used to measure achievements in the selected researched health care organizations. There was defined the following hypothesis in the research: in the surveyed healthcare organizations the applied performance measurement systems do not lead to the efficient functioning of these organizations.

The different definitions of efficiency (in their medical meanings) are presented as the result of meta-reviews found in scientific databases. Efficacy and efficiency are often mismatched with effectiveness in the research of healthcare systems in different countries. In addition to the classic Bismarck's and Beveridge's models the modern concepts of health systems include personalized medicine, recognition of health as economic value, and so called salutogenesis. However, the basic problem in the Polish healthcare system is the low quality of overly specific and often changed legislation.

W artykule dokonano teoretycznych rozważań nad przebiegiem (zmianami) rozumienia i znaczenia logistycznego wsparcia systemu ochrony zdrowia w Polsce. Artykuł jest analitycznym przyczynkiem do wyłonienia definicji wsparcia logistycznego systemu ochrony zdrowia. Określone etapy rozwoju jego znaczenia, a także podjęto rozważania nad sukcesywnym poszerzaniem granic tego znaczenia. Wskazano kierunki rozwoju wsparcia logistycznego w ochronie zdrowia. W tym celu nakreślono możliwość wykorzystania koncepcji sieciowości w logistyce jako istotnych rekomendacji dla dalszego rozwoju wsparcia logistycznego na płaszczyźnie opieki zdrowotnej. Teoretyczne ujęcie podjętego problemu stanowi o przeglądowym i jednocześnie poznawczym charakterze artykułu.
The article presents a theoretical reflection on the course (change) of understanding and the importance of the logistical support of the healthcare system in Poland. The article is an analytical contribution of identify the definition of logistical support of the healthcare system. Defined stages in the development of its meaning, and also elaborates on the gradual broadening the limits of meaning. Indicated directions of the development of logistics support in health care. For this purpose outlined the possibility of using the koncept of logistics webbyness as important recommendations for the further development of logistic support at the level of health care. The theoretical approach of the research is the review and the cognitive nature of the article at the same time.

The main topic of this article is a model of strategic decision making in health care organization. It has been shown how, using the resource-based view, the manager of health care organization can go through a decision process. Taking into account the key stakeholders the decision maker is able to get the solution that strengthen the organization's competitive position the most. The example of how the decision analysis can be employed to aid the manager has been presented. The method WINGS has been used to solve the problem. This method helps to get the deeper insight into the situation and allows the interrelations among criteria. It also provides the ranking of decision alternatives that facilitates the final decision making.

Coraz częściej w anglojęzycznej literaturze przedmiotu można znaleźć publikacje dotyczące procesów coachingowych w ochronie zdrowia. Zaprezentowane badania pokazują różne sposoby wprowadzenia coachingu dla osób chorych. Coaching jest pomocny w osiąganiu celów zdrowotnych, identyfikacji barier, szukaniu rozwiązań problemów zdrowotnych, odkrywaniu przekonań oraz mocnych stron chorych. Coaching może być skierowany do osób chorujących na różne jednostki chorobowe, choć literatura przedmiotu koncentruje się na chorobach nowotworowych i cukrzycy. Badania stosowane na grupie osób chorych na cukrzycę to przede wszystkim sesje coachingowe poprzedzone badaniem ankietowym i wynikami badań lekarskich. W chorobach nowotworowych coaching skupia się na dobrostanie psychicznym, fizycznym i emocjonalnym. Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie badań, w których użytą metodą badawczą jest eksperyment coachingu osób ze zdiagnozowaną cukrzycą typu I.
More and more often in the English-language literature on the subject, you can find publications on coaching processes in health care. The presented research shows different ways of introducing coaching for the people with disease. Coaching is helpful in achieving health goals, identifying barriers, seeking solutions to health problems, discovering patients beliefs and strengths. Coaching can be directed to people suffering from various disease entities, while the literature focuses on cancer and diabetes. The research used on the group of people with diabetes is primarily a coaching session preceded by a questionnaire survey and the results of medical examinations are attached to them. In cancer, coaching focuses on mental, physical and emotional well-being. The aim of the study is to present research in which the research method used is the coaching experiment of people diagnosed with type I diabetes

Opis:
The article presents the evolution of cost accounting in the Polish health care system. There are presented the causal factors of poor quality cost information, and the characteristics of currently operating solutions is given. In the focus of considerations are: the nature and elements of the newly designed account system, based on the resources approach in which one of the main cost objects are DRG groups which, in turn, determines the considerable practicality of this system for the current medical entities management. The usefulness of cost accounting solutions in European countries, in the context of significant growth in the DRG funding, is also discussed.
