    W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono podstawowe informacje dotyczące sektora kultury w Polsce oraz jego problemów i oczekiwań związanych z działalnością instytucji kultury. Szukając sposobów na poprawę efektywności działania instytucji kultury, wskazano klaster. Celem opracowania jest zaprezentowanie klastra jako przykładu praktycznego rozwiązania, które umożliwia poprawę efektywności działania i osiągnięcie sukcesu dzięki współpracy jednostek kultury z sektorem biznesu. W artykule powołano się na przykład Śląskiego Klastra Kultury, Turystyki i Rekreacji.
    This paper presents the basic information about the cultural sector in Poland, its basic problems and expectations related to the activities of cultural institutions. Looking for ways to improve the effectiveness of cultural institutions indicated cluster. The purpose of this paper is to present the cluster as an example of the practical solutions that will improve efficiency and enable success, thanks to the cooperation of the culture of the business sector. The article cited, for example, Silesian Cluster of Culture, Tourism and Recreation.

    The article refers to the issues of socio-economic clusters embedded in the health care market, with a particular focus on regional initiatives. It discusses the theoretical concepts in order to specify the particular types of activity of the health care cluster. It also attempts to determine the key hypotheses for research on cooperation in the area of public goods, which production and consumption is a result of synergy based on the cooperation of private companies, research and development institutions, consulting and training providers, local governments, non-governmental organizations and business environment entities.

    Klastry postrzegane są jako determinanta rozwoju i konkurencyjności każdej gospodarki. Tworząc sieć współpracy, klastry powodują zapotrzebowanie firm na powstawanie nowych relacji, nowych założeń i zaufania, podkreślając wartości, jakie przynosi partnerstwo i współudział. Celem artykułu jest próba oceny polityki wspierania inicjatyw klastrowych w Polsce.
    Clusters, are perceived as "catalysts" of progress and competitiveness of every economy. In Poland for a couple of years clusters have become the object of special interest of public authorities of different levels as well. However, despite the high rank attributed to that problem, the Polish policy in terms of cluster support − is ill-considered and of little effectiveness. The selection of proper instruments that support cluster development poses a peculiarly significant problem. They have to match the realities of the economy and region. The indicated issues are the subject-matter of this case study which is based on a series of profound studies on that matter and empirical research.

    W artykule wskazano różne podejścia do definiowania sieci, atrybuty wynikające z teorii sieci i teorii grafów, a w konsekwencji zaproponowano definicję sieci logistycznych wraz z propozycją ich klasyfikacji.
    Different attempts at defining the network were indicated in the article. Networks were characterised, according to attributes resulting from the theory of the network and of the theory of graphs. In consequence a definition of logistic networks was offered along with the proposal of their classification.

    In the paper an innovation approach to modelling and coordination of intermodal network is given. The main aim of the carried out research was to create the solution, which would eliminate existing barriers concerning development on intermodal haulages. Moreover, created solution takes into consideration strong relations between actors involved in transport processes and the transport system of the region/country. Based on the carried out direct interviews and series of workshops with the industry, the need for coordinated and innovative approach to the intermodal issues were identified. Coordination applies to all intermodal processes executed by group of interested, independent companies, organisation of business and public administration. The aim of the paper is to present the concept of the polish intermodal cluster carried out by the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing in Poznan based on the real market expectations.

    Gmina Stawiguda jest jedną z gmin województwa warmińsko-mazurskiego o bardzo dużych walorach przyrodniczo-kulturowych, które decydują o potencjale turystycznym obszaru. Niestety średni pobyt turystów w tym regionie to 2-3 dni. Przyczyną takiego stanu jest m.in. brak zawiązanych regionalnych klastrów agroturystycznych, których celem jest podnoszenie konkurencyjności wypoczynku na wsi poprzez promowanie atrakcyjnych produktów turystycznych. W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję agroturystycznej inicjatywy klastrowej, której głównym celem jest kooperacja gospodarstw agroturystycznych zlokalizowanych w gminie Stawiguda, a także wsparcie i rozbudowa ich oferty turystycznej.
    The Stawiguda commune is a commune in the Warmia and Mazury province with significant natural and cultural assets which determine the tourist potential of the area. Unfortunately, the average stay of tourists in the region ranges from 2 to 3 days. The cause of such state of affairs is the absence of established regional agrotourism clusters, whose objective is to increase the competitiveness of leisure in the country via promotion of attractive tourism products. The article presents a concept for an agrotourism cluster initiative, whose main objective is cooperation among agrotourism farms located in the Stawiguda commune, as well as support and extension of their tourist offer.

    Firmy z sektora kreatywnego coraz częściej podejmują współpracę w ramach klastrów, które umożliwiają im dostęp do brakujących zasobów. Klastry kreatywne, które dążą do dalszego rozwoju i pozyskiwania nowych członków, decydują się na szersze wykorzystanie technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych. Zastosowanie ICT prowadzi do częściowej wirtualizacji działań. Biorąc jednak uwagę specyfikę oraz cechy charakterystyczne klastrów, ich przekształcenie w organizację wirtualną wydaje się niemożliwe. Kluczowym wyzwaniem staje się natomiast identyfikacja tych procesów wewnątrz klastra, które mogą być usprawnione przy wykorzystaniu narzędzi informatycznych.
    Nowadays enterprises from creative industries more often decide to collaborate within clusters that enable them access to the missing recourses. Those clusters who are interested in further development and gaining new members over decide to implement information and communication technologies. In result the process of partial virtualisation of activities is taking place. Taking into account the creative clusters features the process of their transforming into fully virtual organisation seemed to be hard to achieve. Thus the key issue is to identify those areas in which technology use could profit the biggest benefits.

    Głównym problemem badawczym poruszonym w artykule są zalety i wady wspólnej lokalizacji. Celem artykułu był przegląd koncepcji teoretycznych poświęconych konsekwencjom umiejscowienia podmiotów gospodarczych w konkretnych warunkach geograficznych i społecznych. Większość omawianych koncepcji została zaprezentowana w kontekście struktur klastrowych, dla których kwestia zakotwiczenia na określonym obszarze jest jedną z kluczowych z punktu widzenia specyfiki prowadzonej działalności. Podstawową metodą zastosowaną w niniejszej pracy był systematyczny przegląd literatury. Dotychczasowy dorobek literatury dostarcza wielu argumentów przemawiających za koncentracją geograficzną jako czynnikiem ułatwiającym i przyspieszającym rozwój przedsiębiorstw w klastrach. W artykule opisano także ujemne efekty wspólnej lokalizacji, która – zwłaszcza w fazie schyłkowej grona – może spowalniać rozwój przedsiębiorstw klastrowych.
    The main research problem undertaken in the article are the advantages and disadvantages of a common location. The main research goal was to review the theoretical concepts concerning the consequences of the location of economic entities in specific geographical and social conditions. Most of the discussed concepts were presented in the context of clusters, as geographical concentration is one of the most important attributes of the cluster structure. The basic method used in this article was a systematic review of literature. The hitherto achievements of literature provide many arguments for geographical concentration as a factor facilitating and accelerating the development of enterprises in clusters. There are also negative effects of a common location, which may inhibit the development of cluster enterprises, especially in the declining phase of the cluster.

    Pogranicze jako obszar transgraniczny to specyficzne miejsce prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej. Funkcjonujące tam przedsiębiorstwa mają możliwości współdziałania z partnerami pochodzącymi z sąsiadującego kraju. Transgraniczne współdziałanie gospodarcze jest coraz częściej wspierane przez programy współpracy transgranicznej. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie specyfiki pogranicza oraz wskazanie możliwości, jakie tworzą programy współpracy transgranicznej w zakresie budowania trwałych relacji gospodarczych między firmami. Ponadto przedstawiono ideę klastra transgranicznego wraz z przykładem jako formę transgranicznego współdziałania gospodarczego.
    Borderland as the cross-border area is a specific place of business. The existence of the businesses have opportunities to work with partners coming from a neighboring country. Cross-border economic cooperation is increasingly being supported by crossborder cooperation programs. The article presents the specificity of the border, create opportunities for cross-border cooperation programs and characterized the idea of crossborder cluster with an example as a form of cross-border economic cooperation.

    Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie obecnych działań oraz zapowiedzi podejmowania nowych aktywności służących rozwojowi regionu o dominującej funkcji turystycznej i uzdrowiskowej zlokalizowanego na terenie południowej Polski. W artykule przedstawiono aktualne trendy w zakresie kooperacji w skali regionalnej, zasady tworzenia i podstawowe problemy funkcjonowania specjalnych obszarów zwanych klastrami uzdrowiskowo-turystycznymi. W regionie uzdrowisk popradzkich w ostatnich latach pojawiają się zapowiedzi silniejszej współpracy na poziomie regionalnym w ramach inicjatyw klastrowych. W artykule przedstawiono dwie z nich, jak i próbę ich oceny.
    The aim of this article is to present the ongoing activities and announcements of new activity undertaken to develop a region with a dominant feature of tourism and spa located in the southern Polish. The article presents the current trends in the field of cooperation on a regional scale, the creation and operation of the basic problems of special areas called clusters spa and tourism. In the Region of Poprad Spas, in recent years there are previews stronger cooperation at the regional level within the cluster initiatives, the paper presents two of them, as well as their evaluation of the test. Currently, the creation of specialized clusters is not only an opportunity; but also the need and economic necessity and the emergence of new initiatives within the tourism and spas in Poland must be accompanied by greater attention from the authorities. The emergence of new clusters undeniable tourist-spa contribute to the rapid economic growth of regions in the spirit of sustainable development. The apparent depth cooperation manifested in marketing activities Poprad Valley municipalities to get the visible synergies in achieving higher profits for all cluster members need at least a few years.

    Celem artykułu jest próba określenia potencjału sektora biofarmaceutycznego Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej (CEE) jako szansy dla rozwoju aliansów otwartych innowacji oraz nowych form współpracy firm w sektorze biofarmaceutycznym na podstawie najnowszych danych uzyskanych z ASAP (Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals) oraz w ramach realizowanego grantu Narodowego Centrum Nauki. Autorzy dokonali również analizy poziomu innowacyjności krajów z regionu CEE, biorąc pod uwagę wskaźniki kluczowe z punktu widzenia tworzenia aliansów otwartych innowacji.
    The aim of this article is to identify the potential of the biopharmaceutical sector in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as an opportunity for the development of open innovation alliances and new forms of cooperation in biopharmaceuticals companies based on the latest data from ASAP (Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals) and National Science Center research project. The authors also analyzed the level of innovation of CEE countries, taking into account key indicators for the creation of open innovation alliances.
