    Opis:
    Renewal of the Church with active participation of the laity has given rise to the birth of the basic ecclesial communities (in abbreviation “BEC”), which have become reality in many continents. According to the author, the Church of the Philippines can testify that, following the teaching of the Second Vatican Council and that of the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines, it has begun its renewal through the BEC. They have grown into places of evangelization, of listening and proclaiming the Gospel in parishes and dioceses. The BEC have also become a hope for the universal Church. The BEC differ in shape and structure in rural and urban areas, but when all the agents of the BEC, especially the priests of the parish and the laity, cooperate in the spirit of the Gospel, the renewal is effective and fruitful. All BEC agents are invited at all times and in all places to form a community of the disciples who live in communion, through participation in the mission of Christ as a priestly, prophetic and royal community, in its identity of poverty.

    Opis:
    This article presents the family as a subject of ecclesial life, realising liturgical celebrations which result from the connection between the official liturgy of the Church and religious rituals cultivated in families. The crisis situation of the family, as a domestic church, resulting, among others, from the crisis situation of the Christian faith, is described. The reason for this is the radically secular dimension of contemporary culture, in which the dimension of transcendence is absent. Concrete manifestations of this phenomenon were shown by factors of randomness, relativism, temporality and autonomy. The inadequacy of the theoretical description of the world and of the concrete existence, in which the dimension of mystery is still present has been shown as an opportunity. In such a situation, the family appears as a possible carrier of the transcendent needs of secular man.
    Artykuł przedstawia rodzinę jako podmiot życia kościelnego, przeprowadzającą celebracje liturgiczne, które wynikają z połączenia oficjalnej liturgii Kościoła z rytuałami religijnymi kultywowanymi w rodzinach. Autor opisuje sytuację kryzysową rodziny jako kościoła domowego, wynikającą m.in. z sytuacji kryzysowej wiary chrześcijańskiej. Powodem tego jest radykalnie świecki wymiar współczesnej kultury, w którym brakuje wymiaru transcendencji. Konkretnymi przejawami tego fenomenu są czynniki wyrywkowości, relatywizmu, doczesności i autonomii. Autor pokazuje, że nieadekwatność teoretycznego opisu świata i konkretnej egzystencji, w której wymiar tajemnicy jest wciąż obecny, okazała się szansą. W takiej sytuacji bowiem rodzina jawi się jako potencjalny nośnik transcendentnych potrzeb człowieka świeckiego.

    The author deals with the theme of “mission as witness” in Luke’s Gospel and Acts of the Apostles. Then, he reflects on the concept of witness in the documents of the Church. He also presents the specificity of the vocation of the laity to bear witness in their everyday life. He also analyses the characteristics of the witness to peoples of other faiths in the light of the documents of the Missionaries of Africa. Showing a special interest in the Church in Africa, the author reflects on the new challenges which the concept of witness – through missionary activity – evokes in this continent. Today we need a change of perspective in the understanding of the mission of the Church on every continent. The new way of looking at the Church is dictated by the significant changes that have taken place in the social, political, religious and cultural levels throughout the world. The new vision of the Church will also result from the need for an in-depth analysis of those Biblical pericopes that have been misinterpreted and even distorted by individual local Churches and their missionaries in recent centuries. Missionary activity requires permanent biblical reinterpretation.
    Autor podejmuje temat „misji, jako dawanie świadectwa” w Ewangelii Łukasza i Dziejach Apostolskich. Następnie zastanawia się nad pojęciem świadectwa w dokumentach Kościoła. Przedstawia także specyfikę powołania świeckich do dawania świadectwa w ich życiu codziennym. Analizuje również charakterystykę świadectwa wobec innych wyznań w świetle dokumentów Misjonarzy Afryki. Okazując szczególne zainteresowanie Kościołowi w Afryce, autor zastanawia się nad nowymi wyzwaniami, jakie dawanie świadectwa – poprzez działalność misyjną – wywołuje na tym kontynencie. Dzisiaj potrzebujemy zmiany perspektywy w rozumieniu misji Kościoła na każdym kontynencie. Nowe spojrzenie na Kościół podyktowane jest istotnymi zmianami, które dokonały się na poziomie społecznym, politycznym, religijnym i kulturowym – na całym świecie. Nowa wizja Kościoła wyniknie również z konieczności dogłębnej analizy tych perykop biblijnych, które w ciągu ostatnich stuleci były niewłaściwie interpretowane, a nawet wypaczone przez poszczególne Kościoły lokalne i ich misjonarzy. Misyjna działalność wymaga permanentnej, biblijnej reinterpretacji.
