Opis:
We have developed a unified analytical model for computation of 2D electron gas sheet charge density in AlInN/GaN metal-oxide-semiconductor high electron mobility transistor device structure. This model has been developed by incorporating the variation in lowest three energy sub-bands and Fermi level energy in the quantum-well with respect to gate voltage. We noticed that the dependency of lowest sub-band energy with Fermi energy having two fields, which are the lowest sub-band energy is greater and lesser than the Fermi level energy. According to these two fields, we have developed the fermi energy and sheet charge density expressions in each field. By combining each field of the models, developed a unified 2D electron gas sheet charge density model. The Fermi level and sheet charge density are interdependent in the model development. The developed model results are compared with TCAD simulation results and obtain a good consistency between them. This model is fitted to other metal-oxide-semiconductor high electron mobility transistor devices also with modifications in related physical values.

Opis:
The paper presents the results of research and analysis of voice data transmission quality in IP packet networks. It analyses mechanisms allowing for the assessment of packet telephony data transmission quality. Possible transmission quality levels and adequate quality metrics, applicable in the recommendations of standardisation organisations, as well as suggested limit values conditioning acceptable voice data transmission quality were indicated and discussed. A packet network model was designed and tested, taking into account VoIP architecture supporting various audio codecs used for voice compression. Transmission mechanisms based on audio codecs G.711, G.723, G.726, G.728 and G.729 were investigated. It was shown that for delay-sensitive traffic which fluctuates beyond its nominal rate, selected codecs have an advantage over others and allow for better transmission quality of VoIP traffic with guaranteed bandwidth and delay.

Opis:
Code Excited Linear Prediction (CELP) algorithms are proposed for compression of speech in 8 kHz band at switched or variable bit rate and algorithmic delay not exceeding 2 msec. Two structures of Low-Delay CELP coders are analyzed: Low-delay sparse excitation and mixed excitation CELP. Sparse excitation is based on MP-MLQ and multilayer models. Mixed excitation CELP algorithm stems from the narrowband G.728 standard. As opposed to G.728 LD-CELP coder, mixed excitation codebook consists of pseudorandom vectors and sequences obtained with Long-Term Prediction (LTP). Variable rate coding consists in maximizing vector dimension while keeping the required speech quality. Good speech quality (MOS=3.9 according to PESQ algorithm) is obtained at average bit rate 33.5 kbit/sec.

Opis:
The article presents the results of modelling and simulation of normally-off AlGaN/GaN MOS-HEMT transistors. The effect of the resistivity of the GaN:C layer, the channel mobility and the use of high-κ dielectrics on the electrical characteristics of the transistor has been examined. It has been shown that a low leakage current of less than 10⁻⁶ A/mm can be achieved for the acceptor dopant concentration at the level of 5×10¹⁵cm⁻³. The limitation of the maximum on-state current due to the low carrier channel mobility has been shown. It has also been demonstrated that the use of HfO₂, instead of SiO₂, as a gate dielectric increases on-state current above 0.7A/mm and reduces the negative influence of the charge accumulated in the dielectric layer.

Opis:
The MDCT and IntMDCT Algorithm is widely utilized is Audio coding. By lifting scheme or rounding operation IntegerMDCT is evolved from Modified Discrete Cosine Transform. This method acquire the properties of MDCT and contribute excelling invertiblity and good spectral mean. In this paper we discuss about the audio codec like AAC and FLAC using MDCT and Integer MDCT algorithm and to find which algorithm shows better Compression Ratio(CR). The confines of this task is to hybriding lossy and lossless audio codec with diminished bit rate but with finer sound quality. Certainly the quality of the audio is figure out by Subjective and Objective testing which is in terms of MOS (Mean opinion square), ABx and some of the hearing aid testing methodology like PEAQ (Perceptual Evaluation Audio Quality) and ODG (Objective Difference Grade)is followed. Execution measure, that is Compression Ratio(CR) and Sound Pressure Level (SPL) is approximated.
