The article elaborates on the condition of partial moral anomy in the academic environment, in Poland that not only weakens the ethical causal power of scientific staff, but also results in weakening social capital and also in pathologies in the process of scientific promotion. The narration has been subject to a metaphor of eggs (equivalent of types of scientific publications or a contradiction thereof) and their hatching in various types of hens breeding (scientific or pseudo academic schools) in order to sharpen the conditions and results of academic dishonesty and dysfunction and to notice problems in reviewing scientific degrees and titles’ dissertations.

In the article I am dealing with the issue of unscientific depreciation of pedagogy as a science, which manifests itself either in the lack of reliable scientific criticism of dissertations in this discipline or the escape of some educators into politics to implement their own social intervention projects. The dispute about the scientific nature of pedagogy arises from various research traditions, scientific schools, so the author presents several such methodological approaches, whose creators emphasize the criteria of scientificity and indicate the resulting limitations and their incomparability. Meanwhile, self-awareness of the academic criteria of pedagogy is important in the way of reviewing the scientific achievements of young academic staff. Based on reviews in post-habilitation proceedings, I present various types of arguments in favor of the unscientific status of someone’s research and the reaction of those whose publications are reviewed.

The subject of analyses are issues of research undertaken in scientific publications by Zbyszko Melosik from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the content of which is of key significance to reforms in paedagogical sciences after the year 1989 in Poland, as well as to the understanding of international and domestic value of the cooperation of this scientist with academic circles. It is also an example of the establishment and evolution of the Poznań research school in culture, comparative and general paedagogy. They indicate a clear union between the conditions of socioculturaland education studies in light of the assumptions of post-modernism and critical paedagogy and the richness of sources by this author, connecting Polish paedagogical thought with the world discourse on socialisation and broadly understood education.

The subject of the analysis is the paedagogical thought of the leading representatives of the new education movement in Poland and in the Ukraine. The timeless character of their reflection paedagogy was exemplified by the orphans’ home of Warsaw, Poland, and the School of Joy in Pavlysh, Ukraine, the organisational solutions, rules of (self-)education, the system of social and moral standards bound educators the same way as they did those under their care. The phenomenon of the radical, unique approaches to supporting children, which they created, is a challenge for coming generations. With this work, I also open up the debate and the need for further research concerning the origins and consequences of transgression of state borders by paedagogical thought that constantly changes its approach to humanist paidocentric paedagogy in a world, in which authoritarian, directive or instrumental paedagogy continues to have a strong presence. In this regard, I focus primarily on the similarity of thought between both these educators, indicating the differences in their approach to the child.

The subject of the analysis is the category of the inclusion as a process that does not only apply to people with special developmental or life needs, but also to social sciences, which as a result of the positivist research paradigm have divided and separated from each other. Meanwhile, human upbringing requires the inclusion of biophilic orientation towards life in all social sciences, whose achievements should be considered and applied to improve educational processes. The Author borrows inspiration from the typology of human attitudes of Eric Fromm, because it makes readers aware of the negative effects of necrophilia in interpersonal relationships. The Author analyses Fromm’s approach against the background of selected ideas of Polish pedagogical views.

The analysis included the reception of René Le Senne’s theory of personality by  psychology and pedagogy of the second half of the 20th century. The work reveals  the extraordinary topicality of the typology in modern times, with still the observed  lack of cooperation between psychologists and educators dealing with pedagogical  axiology, the theory of upbringing and education. The typology survived thanks to  the treatises of an outstanding scientist – Professor Janusz Tarnowski, whose dissertations in the field of personal-existential pedagogy of dialogue are reconstructed in  this work and supplemented with philosophical interpretation by Tadeusz Gadacz  in order to understand why the Le Senne’s typology is absent from social sciences  and humanities as the basis for modern upbringing and self-education.

The world scout movement, including the Polish scout movement refers to a lesser or even to an orthodox extent to the pedagogical ideas and assumptions of Scouting by Robert Stephenson Baden-Powell and the successors of his pedagogics. In the article I respond to the question, to what extent does contemporary pedagogical thought refer to the phenomenon of scout movement education? Can we speak of the pedagogy of scouting or rather of scouting pedagogics? These issues cannot be solved solely on the level of normative models if one would not reach to former studies without indicating the necessity of conducting a scientific turn in this regard.
