- The political landscape is changing rapidly and scholars try to understand the dynamics of democracy and public sphere. For the description of contemporary transformation uses a lot of terms and metaphors that are designed to help understand contemporary socio-political configuration. One of the fashionable terms is “post-politics” Post-politics is a conceptual lens through which to analyse current socio-political configuration. Term “post-politics” refers to critique of the emergence of a politics of consensus on the global scale, generated by radical philosophers – Slavoj Žižek, Alain Badiou and Jacques Renicière. For political science it is important to be clear on terminology. Author argues that the term “post-politics” should not be used in contemporary political science. This term is a normative not analytical. This term is used by philosophers and journalist. Author argues that according to Talcott Parsons politics is one of the basic social institutions and we can’t talk about “end of politics” or “post-politics”. This term is not useful form a political scientist.
