    Opis:
    This article analyses advertising texts published in the Russian magazines for women and indi-cates the importance of the selection of appropriate graphics and lexical means (including word-for-mation). The aim of the analysis is to present the typology of linguistic means which are most commonly used in advertising texts, especially considering the contemporary of life in society. Cur-rently, we increasingly feel the lack of time and we are bombarded by new objects and concepts that appear at almost every step. The creators of advertising texts try to attract the attention of consumers in a variety of ways, so as to encourage them to buy goods. The big, if not the leading role is played by the language of advertising, which is reflected in the various forms of play on words as well as in the form of newly created words.

    Opis:
    The article is about shaping of the national idea in the period of forming the new Byelorus- sian literature (XIX century). Mainly the role of folklore in this process is taken into consideration. Studying the literary legacy of the member of Filomaci and Filareci association Jan Czeczot there is analysis of Lithuanian contribution of the Byelorussian literature into Byelorussian renaissance (W. Konan). The most important book of the representative of Byelorussian trend Jan Barszczew- ski called Szlachcic Zawalnia albo Białoruś w opowiadaniach fantastycznych is examined.The contribution into the development of the Byelorussian national idea of Franciszk Bahuszewicz, the author of preface to Dudka białoruska manifesto of Byelorussian renaissance is emphasized. His composition becomes the impulse to the further development of Byelorussian literature and to the forming of the Byelorussian national idea.

    The main heroes of Wincenty Korotyński and Janka Łuczyna’s works were simple people, peasants - authors and bearers of main national elements. Just these people spoke Belorussian, they cultivated customs and rituals of their ancestors. They used folk-wisdom in their everyday life. W. Korotyński in Tomiło aspired to show mentality of working people, who also deserved for better lot. J. Łuczyna in Akwarelki myśliwskie z Polesia showed positive image of Byelorussian people of decline of XIX century, determined national features of their character. Delving in a simple man’s soul, his internal world, saying about his experience, feelings and troubles the poet showed social and national problems in his works. Both writers were close to realistic showing the reality, but they showed different faces of byelorussian peasant in their works of the middle and end of XIX century.

    Opis:
    In this article the author draws attention to how phraseological competence affects the deve- lopment of intercultural competence. The study and description of fixed word combinations is quite long and has rich history. However, more recently, in grounds of phraseological studies, a concept of didactics of phraseolo- gy appeared. Collocations refer to culture ancient and modern customs, they derive from literature and religion, they also carry the information about the country and its communities, which makes them an ideal material for use in the development of intercultural competence in students of philology. Generally speaking, interculturalism is the understanding and tolerance of a foreign culture and a cross-cultural exchange. Contact with other languages and cultures enables the development of intercultural communi- cative competences.

    The axiological image of women synonyms of the word „woman”
    Opis:
    In the below article the whole attention was directed on an image of the woman coded in Russian language, precisely in proverbs. As a basis material of the article were chosen mainly the proverbs due to their repeatability, stereotype which is strengthened in the language. The subject of the article’s analysis is the linguistic image of woman in the Russian proverbs, which is composed of the two stereotypes: negative and positive. In the article the attention was paid to the synonyms of the word „woman”, which appear in the proverbs and have different emotional tinge and valuate world of women.

    Opis:
    The paper constitutes an attempt to delineate the main assumptions, aims and research subject of applied linguo-cultural studies. This discipline works on the border of theoretical linguocultural studies and methodology of teaching a foreign language. The paper presents Multimedia Linguo-cultural Dictionary available on the webpage of Pushkin State Russian Language Institute. The author analyses the macro- and microstructure of the dictionary, focusing on its innovativeness. Entries in the dictionary are described in their entirety, considering references to the real world, which are essential in the socio-cultural functioning of every language, its description and teaching. This helps realise the main assumptions and aims of applied linguo-cultural studies.
