Growing expectations of clients, who demand products adapted to their individual needs is inducing the development of batch processes. The author developed a model of batch processes rating based on the following criterions: - Economical criterion applies to evaluation of the productions’ cost levels connected with the process subjected to analysis and necessary investment funds. - Ecological criterion is about means of natural environment protection, utilization and segregation of wastes and usage of various media. This criterion is about social responsibility of companies. - Social criterion concerns working conditions (ergonomics on work centers), requirements on personnel qualifications and satisfaction from work - rated for example by measuring absence at work or with survey. - The market criterion is about evaluation if the product or additional services meet clients’ individual needs and if the prices and time between the product beening ordered and delivered to the client are elastic. It is about evaluation of product based on clients’ point of view. - Technological criterion, which concerns implementation of production process course, is based on machines’ work and production workers’ work evaluation. - General development criterion allows the evaluation of a companies’ state not only by measuring fulfilled production processes, but by its general condition as well. - Planning criterion is related to fulfilling general production schedules, which is one of the main targets of production control For each criterion the authors performed selection of indicators, which enable evaluation of the process. Developed conception allows performing complex and synthetic evaluation of batch processes.

W pracy podjęto próbę oceny skutków wykonania robót regulacyjnych w korytach rzecznych w aspekcie bezpieczeństwa powodziowego i ekologicznego. Zgodnie z zasadą zrównoważonego rozwoju, konieczne jest znalezienie kompromisu w tym zakresie. Dlatego w analizie uwzględniono zarówno kryteria techniczne, jak i przyrodnicze. Badania terenowe wykonano w okresach wegetacyjnych w latach 2008–2014, w małych i średnich ciekach nizinnych Dolnego Śląska, w których wykonano roboty regulacyjne. Zakres tych robót był zróżnicowany. Badania terenowe obejmowały pomiar i opis wybranych technicznych i przyrodniczych elementów złożonego systemu koryta cieku, takich jak: spadek podłużny, szerokość dna, głębokość koryta, nachylenie i sposób umocnienia skarp, substrat dna, zacienienie koryta, naturalne elementy w korycie, liczba gatunków naczyniowych roślin wodnych oraz stopień pokrycia przez nie dna cieku. Na podstawie wyników badań dokonano wielokryterialnej oceny skutków robót. W tym celu zastosowano metodę unitaryzacji zerowanej. Pozwoliło to utworzyć liniowy ranking koryt rzecznych oraz wskazać optymalne rozwiązanie w aspekcie zrównoważonego rozwoju.
The study presents an attempt of evaluation of the effects of the regulatory works in river beds in terms of the flood protection and the ecological safety. In accordance with the principle of sustainable development it is necessary to find a compromise in this regard. Therefore, the analysis takes into account both the technical criteria, as well as the natural criteria. The field studies were conducted in growing seasons in years 2008–2014 on four small and medium-sized lowland watercourses in Lower Silesia region, where the regulation works have been performed. The range of these works was varied. The study included measurements and description of selected technical and natural elements of complex stream bed system, such as: longitudinal profile, bottom width, watercourse depth, bank slope, type of bank protection, type of bottom substrate, the degree of shading, natural elements in the watercourse bed, number of aquatic plants species and bottom coverage with the plants. Based on the results of the study the multi-criteria evaluation of the effects of river regulation was performed. Analysis was performed with the use of the Zero Unitarization Method. It allowed to determine a linear ranking of the river beds and to identify the optimal solution in terms of the sustainable development.

Artykuł prezentuje możliwości wykorzystania metody taksonomicznej prof. Z. Hellwiga do wielokryterialnej oceny dokonań przedsiębiorstwa w długich okresach. Szczególna uwaga została poświęcona zagadnieniu doboru kryteriów stanowiących podstawę tej oceny. Istotny wpływ na kształtowanie się wartości kryteriów o charakterze finansowym mają zjawiska inflacyjne i deflacyjne w gospodarce. Ich oddziaływanie powinno być zatem uwzględnione w procesie pomiarowym. Efektom działalności przedsiębiorstwa w poszczególnych latach zostały przypisane syntetyczne miary liczbowe.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie metodyki kategoryzacji projektów w procesie implementacji strategii przedsiębiorstwa. Analiza i kategoryzacja projektów mają znaczenie uniwersalne, niezależne od sposobu rozumienia i formułowania strategii w przedsiębiorstwie. Zastosowanie odpowiedniej metodyki oceny projektów może znacząco usprawnić proces wdrażania strategii. Na początku artykułu omówiono wpływ projektów na efektywność zarządzania rozwojem przedsiębiorstwa, a następnie proces zarządzania portfelem projektów. W drugiej części artykułu zdefiniowano pojęcie kategoryzacji i oceny agregatowej oraz zreferowano etapy proponowanej metodyki kategoryzacji projektów. Zagadnienia podjęte w artykule mogą stanowić podstawę doskonalenia systemu zarządzania projektami, w szczególności usprawniania decyzji w zakresie oceny i doboru przedsięwzięć w procesie realizacji strategii przedsiębiorstwa.
The aim of the article is to present the methodology of project categorization in the process of company’s strategy implementation. The article adopted a hypothesis stating that the analysis and categorization of projects are of universal importance, independent of the way of understanding and formulating strategies in an enterprise. At the beginning of the article, the impact of projects on the effectiveness of enterprise development management is discussed, followed by the project portfolio management process. The second part of the article defines the concept of categorization and discusses the stages of the proposed project categorization methodology. Issues taken up in the article can be the basis for improving the project management system, in particular for improving decisions in the field of evaluation and selection of projects in the process of implementing the company’s strategy.

W pracy przedstawiono wielokryterialną ocenę czterech kompresorów dynamiki zastosowanych do usuwania defektów nagrań. Przyjęto pięć kryteriów oceny kompresorów. Ocenę kompresorów przeprowadzili eksperci (producenci nagrań i reżyserzy dźwięku). Po ocenie zgodności opinii ekspertów zbudowano ranking użyteczności kompresorów.
This paper presents a multicriteria evaluation of four dynamic compressors used to audio recording's defects elimination. Five evaluation criteria has been chosen. The evaluation has been made by experts (music producers and sound engineers) in Likert scale from 0 to 5. After evaluation ofconformity of experts', a ranking of usability of compressor has been made.

While choosing an electronic payment system intended for an immediate communication of a user (passenger) with an electronic terminal of a service provider (carrier), it is necessary to respect system parameters of presented technologies (NFC, EMV, and ABT). The methodology of choosing an electronic payment system within public transport may be divided into three steps as follows: • outlining criteria for variants evaluation, • multi-criterial evaluation of variants, and • evaluation of empirical research results. The presented article introduces more results of the research within VEGA project solving. Specifically, the article presents results of the multi-criterial expert decisionmaking problem using the WSA (Weighted Sum Approach) method and the TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method. At the end of the article, there are presented results of empirical research studies focused on an electronic payment system used in public passenger transport. The empirical research studies were realized in the Slovak Republic in 2014, 2016, and 2018.

Opis:
The paper presents issues of production processes design and improvement. In order to visualize the production system functioning and estimate its efficiency, a simulation model has been created, on which a simulation experiment was carried out. Due to many factors influencing the effectiveness of processes, it was suggested to use multi-criteria evaluation tools to choose the rational solution. Three criteria have been assumed, according to which particular improvement variants were evaluated. Also, criteria weights have been set according to the Saaty’s method, and particular solution variants have been assessed separately with respect to each criterion. On the basis of the presented course of action, the best solution has been selected from among the analysed options.

Multi-criteria evaluation of complex phenomena is an important part of decision problems. W artykule przedstawiono ogólne podejście do oceny wariantów realizacji inwestycji infrastrukturalnych w transporcie kolejowym. Nie zawsze studia wykonalności umożliwiają wybór wariantu najlepszego, tym bardziej, że należy uwzględnić punkty widzenia wielu użytkowników infrastruktury, mających najczęściej sprzeczne interesy. Decydent powinien mieć zatem możliwość uwolnienia się od subiektywnych ocen uzyskiwanych za pomocą niektórych kryteriów branych pod uwagę przy ocenie poszczególnych wariantów inwestycyjnych.
A general approach to assessment of variants of infrastructure investments in the field of railway transport is presented in the paper. Feasibility studies not always make it possible to selected the best variant, the more so that, most frequently contradictory, requirements of different users must be taken into consideration. A decision maker should be able to free himself from subjective opinions reached on the ground of some criteria taken into account while assessing particular variants of an investment.

Przygotowanie inwestycji mieszkaniowej zgodnie z oczekiwaniami nabywców wymaga od dewelopera dużego doświadczenia i dobrej znajomości rynku, mieszkaniowego. Preferencje osób poszukujących mieszkań są bardzo zróżnicowane, dlatego kluczowe jest poznanie czynników, które brane są pod uwagę przy zakupie mieszkania. Od tego, w jakim stopniu oferowane mieszkania będą spełniać wymagania nabywców zależy poziom ich sprzedaży, który przekłada się na wysokość uzyskanego dochodu z ich sprzedaży. Poznanie preferencji nabywców mieszkań wymaga przeprowadzenia szczegółowych badań wśród potencjalnych nabywców, których celem jest wyłonienie czynników branych pod uwagę przy wyborze mieszkania oraz określenia ich wpływu na podejmowaną decyzję. W artykule przedstawiono metodę, która ma wspomagać dewelopera przy podejmowaniu decyzji odnośnie sposobu opracowania koncepcji budynku odnoszącej się do rozwiązań projektowych i materiałowych, jego lokalizacji oraz uatrakcyjnienia oferty sprzedaży mieszkań.
Preparation of a residential project in accordance with the expectations of a buyer requires from a developer a lot of experience and a good knowledge of housing market. Preferences of people looking for flats are very diverse, therefore, it is essential to know the factors which are taken into consideration when buying a flat. The level of flats sale and income gained from it depend on how much the offered flats meet the requirements of buyers. Understanding the flats buyers’ preferences requires a detailed study among potential buyers that aims at identifying the factors taken into consideration while choosing a flat and determining their influence on the made decision. In the article, the method is presented which supports a developer in making decisions regarding the development of a building concept in relation to design and material solutions, its location and making the offers of flats for sale more attractive.

The aim of this research is to propose particular measures aimed at streamlining costs in terms of operations in a selected company. A specific proposal is based on the concept related to using services of the transport databank. As at least two out of five major carriers of the investigated company resell shipments to other carriers on such portals, the company could reduce the transport costs by entering shipments into the transport databank on its own. One out of three selected providers will be chosen using multi-criteria evaluation methods, specifically, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (hereinafter referred to as AHP) and the Base-criterion method. Determination of the weights of criteria will be carried out using the Saaty method of quantitative pair wise comparison and the Fuller pair wise comparison method. In this paper, the presented methods are applied for the example of a specific company specialized in the manufacture of metal storage racks and steel structures. In the Czech Republic, the company employs 65 employees in production, storage and administration. Based on the analytical evaluation of the current situation of the company, relevant measures will be proposed with a required effect on the effectiveness of such an enterprise.

This article focuses on the multi-criteria evaluation of various delivery options in the conditions of chosen e-shop, from the customer’s perspective. The evaluations were performed on conditions of the most popular e-shop in Slovakia and the customer segment was represented by a group of people of productive age. For the multicriteria analysis, the TOPSIS method was chosen. We identified four basic distribution options in the selected e-shop and nine evaluation criteria. The results of this research show the most preferable option for distribution according to the customer’s preference and according to the results of the multi-criteria analysis by TOPSIS.

Opis:
The article presents the issues of land intermodal transport, taking into account their impact on the natural environment. The subject of the research is the use of the ELECTRE I method as a decision support tool in the assessment of various variants of transport, taking into account intermodal transport, i.e., transport on the initial and final sections of the route with the use of road transport and transport in the middle longest section by rail transport. This significantly reduces the emission of harmful compounds emitted into the atmosphere by the transport industry. In connection with the above, research on the possibility of choosing transport routes using mixed modes of land transport has been presented. The analyzed transport from point A to destination B considers two reloading operations at the land intermodal terminals. For each of the variants, indicators related to emissions from fuel consumption, the total time and cost of the process, the share of rail transport in the entire process, and the distance of road transport were calculated. The final analysis of the results shows that the following parameters had the most significant impact on the course of the research: the level of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere and the total cost of the process for a given variant. Based on the conducted research, it can be concluded that the variant of transporting cargo from Rybnik to Świdnik with reloading at the PCC Intermodal terminals in Gliwice and the Lublin Container Terminal turned out to be the most advantageous solution.

In 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution on the implementation of a new paradigm of the world development – the sustainable development. In the aforementioned resolution, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were formulated with the prospect of their implementation by 2030. The aim of the paper is to perform a multicriteria assessment of the level of financial support for the process of achieving the SDGs determined on the basis of the 2030 Agenda in Poland and Ukraine. The analysis focused on the Polish and Ukrainian regions adjacent to the external border of the EU. The subject matter of the research comprises theoretical, methodological and practical rules for performing this assessment, which can be useful for local authorities of the border regions in their decisionmaking. The research period, covering the years between 2017 and 2019, has been determined on the basis of the availability of statistical data. The 17 predefined SDGs (identified at a global level by the 2030 Agenda) have been divided into three components: social, economic and environmental. The multi-criteria assessment was performed on the basis of the index method, which involved the gradual defining of individual indexes (measures), group indexes (corresponding with the SDGs), cross-group indexes (corresponding with the components), and an integral index for specific border regions and border areas of Poland and Ukraine. The study confirmed the hypothesis that the border regions of Poland received significantly higher financial support for the implementation of the SDGs than the border regions of Ukraine. However, in all the studied regions during the research period these indexes saw a negative, downward trend. It has been concluded that the available statistical data are insufficient for the full measurement of the contribution of particular sources and areas of financing to the implementation of the SDGs. Therefore, creating an international database dedicated to this purpose has been recommended.
W 2015 r. Zgromadzenie Ogólne ONZ przyjęło rezolucję w sprawie nowego paradygmatu rozwoju świata, jakim jest zrównoważony rozwój. W rezolucji sformułowano Cele Zrównoważonego Rozwoju (Sustainable Development Goals – SDG) z perspektywą ich realizacji do 2030 r. (dalej: SDG 2030). Celem badania omawianego w artykule jest przeprowadzenie wielokryterialnej oceny poziomu wsparcia finansowego realizacji SDG 2030 w Polsce i Ukrainie. Do analiz wybrano regiony przylegające do zewnętrznej granicy UE. Uwzględniono teoretyczne, metodologiczne i praktyczne aspekty oceny, które mogą być przydatne władzom regionów przygranicznych w podejmowaniu decyzji. Ze względu na dostępność danych statystycznych badaniem objęto lata 2017–2019. Siedemnaście SDG 2030 zidentyfikowanych na poziomie globalnym podzielono na trzy komponenty: społeczny, gospodarczy i środowiskowy. Do oceny wielokryterialnej wykorzystano metodę indeksową. Polegała ona na kolejnym wyznaczaniu wskaźników (indeksów) indywidualnych, grupowych, międzygrupowych oraz wskaźnika zintegrowanego dla poszczególnych regionów przygranicznych oraz obszarów przygranicznych Polski i Ukrainy. W toku postępowania badawczego potwierdziła się hipoteza, że polskie regiony przygraniczne otrzymały relatywnie większe wsparcie finansowe na realizację SDG niż regiony ukraińskie. Niemniej jednak we wszystkich badanych regionach w analizowanym okresie wystąpiła negatywna tendencja spadkowa w zakresie wartości przyjętych wskaźników. Stwierdzono też, że dostępne statystyki nie pozwalają w pełni zbadać udziału wszystkich źródeł i obszarów finansowania dotyczących wdrażania SDG 2030, dlatego zaproponowano stworzenie stosownej bazy informacyjnej na poziomie międzynarodowym.

Referat przedstawia "przeciętny ekwiwalentny czas podróży pasażera" jako propozycję syntetycznego miernika oceny jakości funkcjonowania komunikacji miejskiej w zastosowaniu do miast średnich. Zarysowano znaczenie jakości usług w komunikacji zbiorowej w nawiązaniu do dokumentów i projektów Unii Europejskiej oraz europejskiej normy temu poświęconej. Zestawiono ogólne wymogi stawiane kompleksowej metodzie oceny transportu zbiorowego oraz wskaźnikom syntetycznym odnoszących się tej oceny. Przedstawiono skrótowy przegląd prób takiego ujęcia w literaturze. Podano istotę wskaźnika, "przeciętny ekwiwalentny czas podróży pasażera", uwzględniającego zarówno zależności o charakterze fizycznym, jak i parametryzację subiektywnych ocen ważnych dla pasażera ze względu na różnorodne warunki,w jakich realizowana jest podróż. Ogólna formuła obliczania wskaźnika ma strukturę addytywną, a poszczególne składniki - postać multiplikatywną i wyrażają ekwiwalenty czasu ze względu na: dojście i oczekiwanie na przystanku, jazdę, przesiadki, system taryfowy, skargi pasażerów, zagrożenia bezpieczeństwa pasażerów. Ponadto wprowadzony jest współczynnik korygujący ze względu na dostępność i przyjazność systemu. Opisano sposób jego wyliczenia oraz podano wzory i tabele niezbędne do tego wyliczenia. Wskaźnik odnosi się do całości sieci komunikacji zbiorowej miasta. Podano powiązania wartości wskaźnika z werbalną oceną jakości, a także przykłady wyliczenia wskaźnika dla 4 polskich miast. Zestawiono uwzględniane czynniki wpływu (opisane 38 parametrami), podano zakres potencjalnych zastosowań wskaźnika oraz dokonane i planowane jego modyfikacje w stosunku do wersji pierwotnej.
The paper presents the so-called "Equivalent average passenger travel time" as a proposal for a synthetic measure of quality assesment of public transport operation as applied to medium-sized towns. The importance of quality public transport services in relation to the documents and projects of the EU and European standards, dedicated to the quality are outlined. General requirements in relation to comprehensive methods of public transport assessment and to synthetic indicators, referring to such methods are presented. The brief overview of this approach attempts is shown. The essence of equivalent average passenger travel time is presented. It takes into account both, the physical relationships and the parameterization of subjective assessments which are important for the passenger due to different travel conditions under which travel is performed. General formula for calculating of the indicator is additive, and its individual components are represented by multiplicative forms. They express time equivalents in the terms of: access and waiting at the bus stop, ride, transfers, the tariff system, passenger complaints, threats to passenger safety and security. In addition, the correction coeffitient is introduced to refer to the accessibility and friendliness of the system. The way and formulas and tables needed to calculate it is compiled. The indicator refers to the whole public transport network of the town. Some proposal of the relationship between values of the factor and their verbal mark is presented. The calculation of indicator value results for examples of four Polish towns and number of 38 impact parameters on the factor are listed. The range of potential applications for the indicator is made. Planned modifications of the indicator in relation to its primary form are commented.
