    The rapid development of technology is one of the major challenges of today’s organizations. The unprecedented capabilities offered by technology simultaneously create the demands of constant change and development of organizations themselves and their employees. For many years human-technology interaction in organization have remained in focus of interdiciplinary resarch, which resulted in several theories and models explaining technology acceptance. The aim of this paper is to present the state of the art in technology acceptance research and to introduce technology readiness theory (Parasuraman, 2000). Also the practical implications of technology readiness for human resources management will be discussed.

    This research aims to investigate the effect of the information communication technology readiness and knowledge management on entrepreneurial strategic orientation and their implication to firm performance. The methodology of this research was explanatory research with hypothesis testing for examining seven hypotheses. The study populations were small medium enterprises located in DKI Jakarta, with a sample size of 392 SMEs. Data for this study were collected using questionnaires, and structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed for data analysis. The results of this research were as follows: (1) Information communication technology readiness positively and significantly influenced entrepreneurial strategic orientation; (2) knowledge management positively and significantly influenced entrepreneurial strategic orientation; (3) information communication technology readiness and knowledge management positively and significantly influenced entrepreneurial strategic orientation; (4) information communication technology readiness positively and significantly influenced firm performance; (5) knowledge management positively and significantly influenced firm performance; (6) entrepreneurial strategic orientation positively and significantly influenced firm performance; and (7) information communication technology readiness, knowledge management, and entrepreneurial strategic orientation positively and significantly influenced firm performance. The mediating effect of entrepreneurial strategic orientation increased the effects of information communication technology readiness and knowledge management on firm performance. The results of this research indicate that the effect of information communication technology readiness and knowledge management on entrepreneurial strategic orientation, information communication technology readiness, and knowledge management on entrepreneurial strategic orientation on firm performance of SMEs of Jakarta. All of seven hypotheses that are proposed in this research can be accepted. Information communication technology readiness as an independent variable was the strongest influence on entrepreneurial strategic orientation, and entrepreneurial strategic orientation was the strongest influence on firm performance. This dissertation also discusses the findings and limitations, theoretical and practical contribution, theoretical and managerial implications of the study, and suggestions for future research.

    The methodology to assess technology readiness is currently the key instrument in supporting the decisions to finance research and development projects. It was originally used in the area of aviation and space technologies, where the requirements connected with reliability and resilience to extremely difficult conditions are very high. Nowadays the methodology is used in Poland in the evaluation of research and development activities related to commercial market that is characterized by massive diversity. The need to apply this methodology in the process of commercializing new products is indicated in this study.

    The article is devoted to the issue of highlighting the requirements for the professional qualities of a modern technology teacher. In particular, attention is focused on the psychological and pedagogical requirements for the knowledge and skills of the specified category of specialists. In the process of generalization and systematization of scientific data, the requirements for the formation and development of such qualities of the future teacher as visual memory, spatial and creative imagination, visual-figurative thinking, artistic abilities, artistic culture, aesthetic taste, as well as a special way of knowing surrounding world, the basis of which is determined by the artistic and design thinking are revealed.
    Artykuł poświęcony jest zagadnieniu podkreślenia wymagań dotyczących umiejętności zawodowych nowoczesnego nauczyciela technologii. W szczególności zwraca się uwagę na psychologiczne i pedagogiczne wymagania dotyczące wiedzy i umiejętności określonej kategorii specjalistów. W procesie uogólniania i usystematyzowania danych naukowych wymagania dotyczą kształtowania i rozwijania takich cech przyszłego nauczyciela jak pamięć wzrokowa, wyobraźnia przestrzenna i twórcza, myślenie wizualno-figuratywne, zdolności artystyczne, kultura artystyczna, smak estetyczny, jak również szczególny sposób poznania otaczającego świata, ukształtowany poprzez myślenie artystyczne i projektowe.

    W opracowaniu omawiane są niektóre problemy dotyczące pomiaru efektywności pedagogicznej. Jest to ciągle problem otwarty. Dlatego konieczna jest reinterpretacja całej konwencji terminologicznej. Dotyczy to także edukacji informacyjnej i informatycznej. Konieczne jest nowe określenie w tym zakresie siatki problemowej. Wyróżnienie rodzajów efektywności wewnętrznej i zewnętrznej pozwala na opracowanie katalogu wskaźników dla każdego z nich, a przez to dobór metod i narzędzi pomiaru. W ostatnim czasie szczególnie ważne są problemy oceny efektywności zewnętrznej, a w tym badanie losów i przydatności zawodowej absolwentów, ocena efektywności różnych form doskonalenia zawodowego, w tym tzw. egzaminów zewnętrznych, pozwalających na uzyskanie certyfikatów. Konieczna jest także ocena poziomu rozwoju społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Proponuję zastosowanie wskaźników: szansy cyfrowej (DOI) i gotowości sieciowej (NRI).
    This study is to take certain issues concerning the measurement of the effectiveness of teaching. It is still an open problem. Therefore it is necessary to reinterpret the whole convention of the terminology. This also applies to IT and information education. It is needed to determine the area of issue net. Mention the types of internal and external efficiency allows creating the catalog of indicators for each of them and thus the selection of methods and tools of measurement. Nowadays there are particularly important issues to value the effectiveness of external including future and professional suitability of graduates, evaluate the effectiveness of various forms of professional development and so-called: external exams that enable to obtain certificates. It is also necessary to value the level of development of information society. I suggest using in this case indicators such as Digital Opportunity Index (DOI) and Network Readiness Index (NRI).
