    This article evaluates map websites that present bicycle routes. Due to the large number of such websites and their highly dynamic development, the analysis was limited to the content presented for the area of Poland. An attempt was made to assess properties like the quality and form of the cartographic message, the legibility of the presented content, the quantity and quality of the accompanying data, and the usability properties. Data from global, national and local portals developed for the voivodship, and even for the city or county, were analysed. The analysis showed that Goole Maps currently offers the best usable properties.

    Województwo zachodniopomorskie dysponuje zróżnicowanymi walorami środowiska przyrodniczego i społeczno-kulturowego, które stwarzają warunki do rozwoju na jego obszarze turystyki aktywnej, w tym turystyki rowerowej. Dla rozwoju turystyki i rekreacji rowerowej niezbędne jest istnienie odpowiedniej infrastruktury, która powinna zapewniać nie tylko sprawne i bezpieczne przemieszczanie się na rowerze, ale także stwarzać okazję do poznania walorów turystycznych obszaru oraz umożliwiać korzystanie z usług noclegowych, gastronomicznych, transportowych, rekreacyjnych, czy rozrywkowych. Celem opracowania jest wskazanie możliwości rozwoju szlaków rowerowych w województwie zachodniopomorskim w oparciu o „Koncepcję sieci tras rowerowych Pomorza Zachodniego”, przygotowaną przez Regionalne Biuro Gospodarki Przestrzennej Województwa Zachodniopomorskiego. Artykuł składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej zwrócono uwagę na znaczenie transportu w turystyce i rekreacji, w drugiej zaś scharakteryzowano podstawowe zasady tworzenia szlaków rowerowych. Część trzecia wskazuje miejsce turystyki rowerowej w dokumentach strategicznych województwa zachodniopomorskiego oraz przedstawiono w niej główne założenia „Koncepcji sieci tras rowerowych Pomorza Zachodniego, a także możliwości i ograniczenia realizacji określonej koncepcji.
    The West Pomeranian Voivodship possesses various assets of the natural and socio-cultural environment, which influence on the development of active tourism, including cycling. For the development of tourism and cycling, it is necessary to have an appropriate infrastructure, which should ensure not only efficient and safe cycling, but also provide an opportunity to learn about the tourist values of the area. Infrastructure should also allow the use of accommodation, catering and entertainment services. The purpose of the article is to show the possibility of developing bicycle routes in the West Pomeranian Voivodship based on the concept of a cycle route network prepared by the voivodship authorities of the West Pomeranian Voivodship. The first part highlights the importance of transport in tourism and recreation. The second part concerns the principles of creating bicycle routes. In the third part, the place of cycling tourism in the voivodship planning documents was analysed and the main ideas and proposals included in the concept were presented. In conclusion, the main threats were identified and the prospects for development were assessed.

    Subject and purpose of work: The purpose of the paper is to present the state of and prospects for the development of cycling tourism in Central Roztocze, a physico-geographical mesoregion in southeastern Poland. Materials and methods: The research was carried out by means of a diagnostic survey using the survey technique and a literature review. It was carried out in the period from April to June 2018 on a sample of 128 tourists. Results: The research showed that tourists most often cycle several times a week, covering distances of more than 30 km. The main reason for visiting this region is its natural values. The general assessment of the tourist routes indicates that they are not sufficiently prepared for tourists. It was also shown that in order to popularise cycling tourism, it is necessary to expand lodging facilities, and to provide more practical information about routes. Conclusions: The main factor encouraging tourists to visit Central Roztocze is its natural beauty. The general condition of the routes was assessed by the respondents as “average”. The factor conducive to the development of cycling tourism in Central Roztocze might be the development of the cycling infrastructure, including lodging facilities and practical information on cycling trails.

Turystyka rowerowa w tym województwie rozwija się w ostatnich latach bardzo prężnie poprzez budowę nowych ścieżek rowerowych, organizowanie imprez dla rowerzystów takich jak rowerowa masa krytyczna, czy też udoskonalanie istniejącej infrastruktury drogowej, tak aby ograniczyć do minimum zagrożenie cyklistów ze strony innych użytkowników dróg. W niniejszym artykule dokonano przeglądu istniejących w województwie pomorskim turystycznych szlaków rowerowych.
    Pomeranian Voivodship thanks to the diversity of nature and terrain - the plains in Żuławy, hills in Kashubia, is a great area for cycling tourism. Pomeranian voivodship offers bicycle routes for both professional cyclists and those who cycle on a recreational trip. Cycling in this province has been developing very rapidly in recent years through the construction of new bicycle paths, organizing events for cyclists such as cycling critical mass, or improving existing road infrastructure, so as to minimize the risk of cyclists from other road users. This article reviews the existing bicycle routes in the Pomeranian Voivodship.

    Istniejąca infrastruktura rowerowa na trasie Gdańsk–Hel nie jest idealna. Województwo Pomorskie wciąż dąży do poprawy jej stanu poprzez tworzenie Koncepcji Rozwoju Turystyki Rowerowej, która zawiera prognozy zmian na najbliższe lata. Dokument ten zawiera plany rozbudowy dróg rowerowych, ulepszenie nawierzchni na istniejących trasach europejskich i krajowych oraz stworzenie miejsc przyjaznych rowerzystom. Jednak wszystkie plany władz województwa skupiają się na udogodnieniach dla rowerzystów poruszających się na tradycyjnych pojazdach. Niniejszy artykuł w oparciu o dostępną literaturę i oferty rynkowe przedstawia projekt infrastruktury niezbędnej do poruszania się na szlaku Gdańsk – Hel pojazdami jednośladowymi wyposażonymi w system wspomagania elektrycznego.
    The existing cycling infrastructure on the Gdansk - Hel route is not ideal. Pomeranian Voivodship is still striving to improve its status by creating the Cycling Tourism Development Concept, which includes forecasts of changes for the coming years. This document includes plans for the development of bicycle routes, improved pavement on existing European and national routes, and the creation of bikerfriendly places. However, all voivodship authorities' plans focus on facilities for cyclists moving on traditional vehicles. This article, based on available literature and market offers, presents a project of infrastructure necessary to navigate the Gdansk - Hel route with two-track vehicles equipped with an electric support system.

    Turystyka zrównoważona nie ma określonych form ruchu turystycznego, lecz odnosi się do sposobu organizacji i funkcjonowania gospodarki turystycznej jako całości. W artykule przedstawiono charakterystykę rozwoju turystyki kajakowej i rowerowej jako form turystyki zrównoważonej. W pierwszym etapie przedstawiono historię turystyki, a następnie dokonano kompleksowej analizy cech turystyki kajakowej i rowerowej. Zaprezentowano i omówiono główne problemy ze wskazaniem rozwiązań i możliwości wykorzystania wyników do promocji turystyki na Pojezierzu Brodnickim.
    Sustainable tourism does not have any defined forms of tourist traffic. It refers to form of organization and functioning of tourism management as a whole. The Brodnica Lakeland, as a destination for tourists has an outstanding value for the qualified tourism. This article applies to characterize canoeing and cycling tourism as the forms of sustainable tourism. In the first stage the history of tourism is presented. After that analysis of canoeing and cycling tourism characteristics is made. Authors present and discuss main problems of sustainable tourism. They indicate solutions and possibilities of using opinions and study results to improve the offer of tourism in the Brodnica Lakeland.

    Turystyka rowerowa jest jedną z najbardziej popularnych form rekreacji na świeżym powietrzu, ale istotną barierą w jej rozwoju są ograniczenia w przewozie rowerów środkami publicznej komunikacji zbiorowej. W celu poprawy tej negatywnej sytuacji w Republice Czeskiej od kilkunastu lat uruchamiane są regularne linie obsługiwane autobusami przystosowanymi do transportu rowerów, zwane cyklobusami, zapewniające połączenia między źródłami ruchu turystycznego (większe miasta, miejscowości turystyczne) a wyższymi partiami gór i atrakcjami turystycznymi. Obecnie kursują one już na kilkudziesięciu trasach w kilkunastu regionach kraju, przy czym w artykule przybliżono tylko wybrane obszary. Celem pracy jest analiza tej specyficznej oferty – przebiegu i powiązania poszczególnych tras, rozkładów jazdy, zasad przewozu rowerów oraz form promocji – w celu wskazania wzorcowych rozwiązań organizacyjnych, możliwych do zastosowania w innych krajach, w tym Polsce. Dokładniej przebadano sieć cyklobusów w Górach Orlickich i na ich pogórzu, ponieważ należy do najstarszych i najbardziej rozbudowanych. Porównano kształt sieci w wybranych latach (wykorzystując do tego współczynniki zaczerpnięte z teorii grafów) i zmieniającą się liczbę kursów. W pozostałych przypadkach (m.in. Karkonosze, Czeski Raj, województwo karlowarskie) przedstawiono stan z 2014 roku, starając się wskazać charakterystyczne cechy i wartościowe rozwiązania. Przeprowadzone analizy pozwalają stwierdzić, że czeskie cyklobusy trwale wpisały się w ofertę transportu zbiorowego w kraju i efektywnie udostępniają dla turystów rowerowych najatrakcyjniejsze turystycznie obszary.
    Cycling tourism is one of the most popular forms of outdoor recreation, however a substantial limitation to its development are restrictions in transporting bicycles in means of public transport. In order to improve the situation various lines in the Czech Republic are operated by buses adapted to bicycle transporting. So called cyclobuses connect sources of tourist traffic (bigger cities, tourist centres) with higher mountain ranges and tourist attractions. Nowadays they operate on tens of routes in several regions, some of which are presented in the paper. The main aim of the article is to analyse this specific offer – course and connections between routes, timetables, rules of bicycle transporting and forms of promotion – in order to propose some model organisational solutions, possible to introduce in other countries, also in Poland. One of the oldest and most developed networks of cyclobuses – in the region of Orlické Mountains – was more precisely examined. The shape of the network in selected years was analysed using coefficients originating from the graph theory, also changing number of services was inspected. As far as other cases (Karkonosze Mountains, Czech Paradise, Karlovy Vary region) only present situation was presented. According to conducted studies the system of cyclobuses is an important part of the Czech public transport and makes accessible the most attractive areas.

    Background. Cycling, practised individually or in groups, is among the most popular movement activities. Cycling qualified tourism can be enumerated as one of its elements. The Jizera Mountains provide ample opportunities for cycling. Material and methods. The concept of the study was based on the method of a diagnostic survey. The aim of the research was to assess the level of cyclists’ preparation to practise mountain cycling tourism. Results and conclusions. Most subjects used relatively good equipment. A vast majority of the responders were well prepared in terms of clothing. They were also well prepared physically.

    The everyday use of the bicycle is becoming increasingly common. People noticed the need to take care of both their health and the environment. The geographical location of Poland encourages cycling, which is the reason new kilometres of cycling routes are being built every year. This is associated with the rising interest in buying a bicycle. A conceptual tricycle with an additional electric drive powered by solar panels is presented in this article. The photovoltaic panel is installed on the basket roof. The electric motor may be used during an uphill ride and when the driver has run out of energy for pedalling. In the crank mechanism, there is a sensor which starts the motor when a small foot pressing force on the pedal is detected. The tricycle has an all-purpose structure, owing to which the seat mounted in the basket can be easily replaced with a double seat, a shopping bin or a child's safety seat. The tricycle may be used by both private persons and companies involved in tourist transport. The cost of the structural details of the tricycle suggested in this article does vary considerably from standard electric bikes, however, that solution has several important advantages, which may be decisive in the purchase of this solution.
