    Low manganese and sulfur gray irons were produced by adding inoculant base Fe-Si with small amounts of Al and Ca in the ladle. The effect of the cast thickness, inoculant amount and shakeout time of the green sand molds were studied on the graphite flake formation by microscopically techniques. A thermodynamic analysis was carried out for the cast iron produced with the FactSage 7.2 software. Stability phase diagrams were obtained for both gray cast irons to different manganese (0.1 to 0.9 wt.%) and sulfur (0.01 to 0.12 wt.%) amounts to 1150°C. It was shown that lower amounts of manganese and sulfur allow forming the 3Al2O3·2SiO2, Al2O3, and ZrO2 solid compounds. The thermodynamic results match with those obtained by SEM-EDS. It is possible to form MnS particles in the liquid phase when the solubility product (%Mn) × (%S) equals 0.042 and 0.039 for heats A and B, respectively.

    Opis:
    A study on wild edible resources has been performed in the western part of Granada Province (Spain) using ethnobotanical methods. We document and analyze knowledge concerning wild edible plants and mushrooms and their folk medicinal uses in the study area. Several botanical features and use characteristics have been analyzed for the species included, with special attention to their medicinal uses, highlighting a large number of edible-medicinal species. Local importance of the medicinal uses for these resources has been confirmed. Up to 135 species are gathered from the wild in the study area, from which 46 can be considered folk functional foods. In addition, 45 crop plants with uncommon edible or medicinal uses are included, 29 of these being considered functional foods as well. Therefore, a total of 75 plant species are used as edible medicines which serve to treat 36 different conditions. The local concept of food and medicine regarding wild plant resources seems not to be well established. Studies on the pharmacological properties of these foods are needed in order to establish their real or potential benefits for the treated affections.

    The most prevalent P2P application today is file sha ring, both among scientific users and the general public. Afundamental process in file sharing systems is the search mechanism. The unstructured nature of real-world largescale complex systems poses a challenge to the search me thods, because global routing and directory services are impractical to implement. This paper presents a new antcolony algorithm, Adaptive Neighboring-Ant Search (AdaNAS), for the semantic query routing problem (SQRP) in a P2P network. The proposed algorithm incor porates an adaptive control parameter tuning technique for runtime estimation of the time-to-live (TTL) of the ants. AdaNAS uses three strategies that take advantage of the local environment: learning, characterization, and explo ration. Two classical learning rules are used to gain ex perience on past performance using three new learning functions based on the distance traveled and the resources found by the ants. The experimental results show that the AdaNAS algorithm outperforms the NAS algorithm where the TTLvalue is not tuned at runtime.

    A simple and efficient procedure for non-linear analysis of frames is presented, under the hypothesis that the non-linear effects, if appear, are concentrated in the beam-ends.We consider a damage model based on Continuum Damage Mechanics, but affecting the cross-section as a whole. The elastoplastic behaviour is included formulating the tangent elastoplastic stiffness matrix in such a way that the yield function, in terms of internal forces (axial, shear and bending moment), is affected by the damage in each plastic cross-section. After the verification of the model, an example of application is solved for different assumptions on the yield function (depending on the internal forces considered) with the damage being taken into account or disregarded. The differences on the collapse load, for each case, are shown and some conclusions obtained, among them that the method can evaluate in a more accurate way the load that causes the collapse of frames under increasing loading, considering a fully plastic non-linear analysis.
    W pracy zaprezentowano prostą i skuteczną metodę nieliniowej analizy dwuwymiarowych ram przy założeniu hipotezy, że efekty nieliniowe, jeśli występują, są skoncentrowane na końcach belek tworzących układ ramy. Rozważono kontynualny model procesu zniszczenia obejmujący przekrój belki jako całość. Właściwości elasto-sprężyste materiału ujęto poprzez zdefiniowanie macierzy stycznej sztywności sprężysto-plastycznej w taki sposób, że funkcja uplastycznienia wyrażona w kategoriach obciążeń wewnętrznych (sił osiowych, tnących oraz momentu gnącego) zależy od stanu zniszczenia w każdym uplastycznionym przekroju. Po zweryfikowaniu modelu, rozwiązano przykład zastosowania analizy dla różnych założeń narzuconych na funkcję uplastycznienia (w zależności od wziętych pod uwagę obciążeń wewnętrznych) z uwzględnieniem zniszczenia lub bez. Dla każdego przypadku pokazano różnice w wartościach obciążenia zewnętrznego prowadzącego do wyboczenia ramy oraz sformułowano wnioski. Wykazano, że przedstawiona metoda nieliniowej analizy uplastycznienia pozwala na bardziej precyzyjne określenie krytycznych obciążeń prowadzących do zniszczenia konstrukcji.

    In this work a strip of a transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steel was welded using gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and Laser CO2 welding (LBW) processes and the resultant strength and ductility of the welded joints evaluated. It was found that LBW lead to relatively high hardness in the fusion zone, FZ where the resultant microstructure was predominantly martensite. The relative volume fractions of phases developed in the welded regions were quantitatively measured using color metallography combined with X-ray diffraction analyses. It was found that the heat affected zone, HAZ developed the maximum amount of martensite (up to 32%) in the steel welded using LBW besides a mixture of bainite, retained austenite and ferrite phases. In contrast, a relatively low percent of martensite (10.8%) was found in the HAZ when the GMAW process was implemented.
    Pas ze stali typu TRIP poddano spawaniu elektrodą topliwą oraz spawaniu laserowemu i oceniono wytrzymałość i plastyczność uzyskanych połączeń spawanych. Stwierdzono, że spawanie laserowe prowadzi do uzyskania stosunkowo wysokiej twardości w strefie łączenia, gdzie powstała mikrostrukturę stanowi głównie martenzyt. Względne udziały objętościowe faz w spawanych obszarach zmierzono ilościowo za pomocą barwnej metalografii w połączeniu z dyfrakcyjną analizą rentgenowską. Stwierdzono, że w przypadku stali spawanej laserowo strefa wpływu ciepła zawiera najwięcej martenzytu (do 32%), a oprócz tego mieszanine bainitu, resztkowego austenitu i ferrytu. Natomiast w strefie wpływu ciepła uzyskanej podczas spawania elektrodą topliwą stwierdzono stosunkowo niską zawartość martenzytu (10,8%).
