    Despite many advantages over the conventional construction materials, the contemporary development of FRP composites in bridge engineering is limited due to high initial cost, low stiffness (in case of glass fibers) and sudden composite failure mode. In order to reduce the given limitations, mixed (hybrid) solutions connecting the FRP composites and conventional construction materials, including concrete, have been tested in many countries for 20 years. Shaping the hybrid structures based on the attributes of particular materials, aims to increase stiffness and reduce cost without losing the carrying capacity, lightness and easiness of bridges that includes such hybrid girders, and to avoid the sudden dangerous failure mode. In the following article, the authors described examples of hybrid road bridges made of FRP composite and concrete within the time of 20 years and presented the first Polish hybrid FRP-concrete road bridge. Also, the directions of further research, necessary to spread these innovative, advanced and sustainable bridge structures were indicated.
    Pomimo wielu przewag w stosunku do konwencjonalnych materiałów budowlanych, współczesny rozwój zastosowań kompozytów FRP w budownictwie mostowym jest ograniczony ze względu na wysoki koszt początkowy, zbyt małą sztywność oraz nagłą postać zniszczenia elementów konstrukcyjnych. W celu redukcji tych ograniczeń od blisko 20 lat w wielu krajach testuje się rozwiązania mieszane (hybrydowe - zespolone), łączące kompozyty FRP z konwencjonalnymi materiałami budowlanymi, w tym głównie z betonem. Kształtowanie konstrukcji hybrydowej, bazujące na właściwościach poszczególnych materiałów składowych, ma na celu zwiększenie sztywności i redukcję kosztów, bez utraty nośności, lekkości i łatwości budowy mostów z takich dźwigarów oraz uniknięcie nagłej, niebezpiecznej postaci zniszczenia. W artykule przedstawiono przykłady mostów drogowych o konstrukcji hybrydowej z kompozytów FRP i betonu na przestrzeni ponad 20 lat oraz pierwszy polski most drogowy o konstrukcji hybrydowej „kompozyt FRP – beton”. Wskazano także kierunki dalszych badań, niezbędnych w celu upowszechnienia tych innowacyjnych konstrukcji mostowych.

    The supply chain formula based on strict close interdependence between all its elements causes the smallest disturbance in one of the links to menace the whole supply chain, which is why it is so important for the participants to identify the weakest links of the supply chain and indicating, through complex analysis, potential situations threatening the realization of the whole process; this is possible by respecting unified criteria of proceeding both on domestic and regional level, and on global scale. Safety management in the supply chain is a process aimed at determining areas menacing its proper functioning. An element of this process is undertaking suitable activities, using proper means to eliminate risk or minimise the consequences of its occurrence. Along with economic development increased risk can be observed, as well as qualitative changes in the character of appearing threats transposed from previous well recognizable, mainly fate kind of risks, to categories pertaining to the conditions of activities and process realization. What is important, in the case of hybrid supply network, the threat bound with conduct of activity exceeds the framework of a single enterprise. As a consequence, the appearance of risk in any link or stage of process realization significantly affects the whole supply chain. The article presents guidelines aimed at ensuring the continuity of the functioning of certain processes, the assumed level by providing the resources and commitment of top management, the critical parameters identified and proposed solutions dealing with crisis situation. It was noted that an appropriate response to this situation depends not only on the availability of information about the incident, but also awareness and competence of employees. Modern hybrid form characterized by high complexity of the organizational, structural and task require all participants in the supply chain of involvement in the process and creating a positive image. Effective management of multi-level logistic network can not be confined only to the traditional and well-knows methods but requires uncommon merger holistic solution.

    This work discusses the classification of bridge structures and their models. Examples of hybrid models are also indicated in the case of homogeneous and mixed structures. Where hybrid design and model cases are presented, an algorithm for the analysis of contact interactions between subsystems is provided. The soil and shell structure is adopted as an example of analyses, where in its characteristic feature, differentiating it from classic bridges, is the large influence of both the soil backfill and the road surface as load-bearing elements of the structure. There are two structural subsystems present in the model of the soil-shell structure: a corrugated sheet coating and a soil backfill with a surface. The interaction between them is modeled as a contact interaction, i.e. forces with a direction normal and tangent to the line of the circumferential band of the shell. The paper presents an algorithm of their analysis, resulting from the outcomes of tests with the use of strain gauges, with the load being a vehicle changing its position. The advantage of the algorithm is that it takes into account the actual physical properties of the soil in the backfill layers and the contact layer of the coating with the soil. Direct contact force measurements along the entire length of the circumferential strip are very difficult. In practice, pressure gauges are used to determine normal interactions.

    This paper deals with the development of mechanism with hybrid kinematic structure called trivariant and its subsystems. Hybrid machines are characterized by connecting advantages of both type mechanisms together - high dynamics of parallel mechanisms for positioning and high flexibility and high mobility range of serial mechanisms for orientation. At our department was built the small-scale mechanism prototype used for testing, functional verification, for education and training. There was created the simulation software and control system based on standard PC for this prototype. Our prototype can be applied like small CNC milling machine but it is possible to modify it also for the manipulation with objects like robot device.

    Regardless of the type of carrier, the headline – a signal device and a gateway to a journalistic piece of communication – meets four corresponding criteria. The usual mission of the visually noticeable frame component is to attract the recipients’ attention, to encourage their readiness to respond to the actual piece of communication, to mediate leitmotifs, and to define an acceptable genre affiliation of a journalistic product. Current internet journalism is characterized by significant colloquialization. This manifests itself by blurring the borders between oralness and writtenness (printedness) in communication, in the style and in the ambiguity of the stylistic procedure, as well as by hybrid structures that are constantly being generated. Along with the primary functions of communication – stimulating, informative and persuasive function – genre volatility allows the application of other pre-determinations and functions in internet journalism: instructional, expressive, appellative, aesthetic, referential (descriptive), contact and meta-language. These can also be noticed in the pragma-stylistic profile and purpose of headlines. In the paper, the aforementioned processes, trends and consequences are explored using a databank of headlines from alternative internet journalism.
    Niezależnie od rodzaju nośnika, nagłówek – zapowiedź i wstęp do dziennikarskiego przekazu – spełnia cztery odpowiadające sobie kryteria. Standardowym zadaniem widocznego wizualnie elementu ramy tekstowej jest przyciągnięcie uwagi odbiorców, zachęcenie ich do gotowości reakcji na dany fragment komunikacji, zapośredniczenie motywów przewodnich oraz określenie możliwej do zaakceptowania dla nich przynależności gatunkowej produktu dziennikarskiego. Współczesne dziennikarstwo internetowe cechuje się wysokim poziomem potoczności. Przejawia się to zacieraniem granic między charakterem oralnym a pisanym (drukowanym) komunikacji, stylem i niejednoznacznością środków stylistycznych, a także nieustannym generowaniem struktur hybrydycznych. Wraz z podstawowymi funkcjami komunikacji, stymulującej, informacyjnej i perswazyjnej – zmienność gatunkowa pozwala na odwołanie się w dziennikarstwie internetowym do innych predeterminacji i funkcji: instruktażowej, ekspresyjnej, konatywnej, estetycznej, referencyjnej (opisowej), kontaktowej i metajęzykowej. Potwierdzenie tych zjawisk można również zauważyć w profilu pragmastylistycznym i w roli nagłówków. W artykule wspomniane procesy zostały poddane analizie na materiale z korpusu nagłówków z alternatywnego dziennikarstwa internetowego.

    Opis:
    The possibilities to use polymer plastics in automotive engineering from the point of view of the manufacturing of an environmentally-friendly car have been presented in this paper. The general requirements to be met by such materials have been discussed and the possibilities of significant improvement of, inter alia, mechanical strength properties of polymer plastics by the use of appropriate additives, inclusive of carriers, have been indicated. The most frequently used plastics and numerous toughening materials have been mentioned. Many examples of the application of plastics toughened with the most recent materials, e.g. nanomaterials or, in consideration of the ecological aspect, natural fibres have been presented. The essence of the most modern technologies making it possible to manufacture vehicle components from plastics toughened with various carriers has also been described, which also covers the issue of hybrid structures.
    W artykule przedstawiono możliwości stosowania tworzyw polimerowych w motoryzacji w aspekcie produkcji samochodu ekologicznego. Omówiono ogólne wymagania stawiane materiałom oraz wskazano możliwości znacznego zwiększenia między innymi właściwości wytrzymałościowych tworzyw polimerowych poprzez stosowanie odpowiednich dodatków, a w tym nośników. Wymieniono najczęściej stosowane tworzywa oraz liczne materiały wzmacniające. Przedstawiono liczne przykłady zastosowań tworzyw wzmocnionych najnowszymi materiałami, np. nanomateriały, jak i z uwagi na ekologiczny aspekt - włóknami naturalnymi. Opisano także istotę najnowszych technologii umożliwiających wytworzenie części samochodowych z tworzyw wzmocnionych różnymi nośnikami, w tym także w odniesieniu do konstrukcji hybrydowych.

    The paper discusses the theme of wandering in the novel by French author André Dhôtel. The protagonist of Le Mont Damion, Fabien Gort, is not a typical vagrant, as he is a member of an intellectual and quite rich family. However, because of his strong absent-mindedness and strangeness, Fabien is unable to find a place in social structures. People’s hostility leads him to many wanderings and unexpected encounters which influence his existence. The novel seems to be also a generic wandering, as it possesses some features of picaresque novel, adventure novel, initiation story and fairytale fantasy.

    Consistency problem in management has been present for some time now. However, organizational consistency usually deals with specific elements that are a given part of an organization, and that need to suit each other. In this article, consistency is seen from a different perspective – as a holistic problem that embraces every aspect of organizations. Moreover, even in the holistic approach, the problem of consistency profile is essential. In every organizational structure, consistency must be achieved, but differently. Thus, the question of what kind of consistency is possible or necessary in terms of a kind of organizational structure arises. The article tries to answer this question. In functional structures, managers have a kind of freedom when they decide on what the consistency platforms should be like. When the organization operates in process or hybrid structures, there is no freedom, and only process profile of consistency platforms should be chosen. The main subject of the article is to drive our attention to consistency as a whole. The article also provides the distinction of the consistency approach according to organizational structure. The outcome may have a great application value for managers.
    Problem spójności jest już obecny w zarządzaniu od jakiegoś czasu. Jednak, zwykle odnosi się on do specyficznych elementów wydzielonych w organizacjach, które muszą do siebie pasować. W niniejszym artykule spójność rozpatrywana jest z innej perspektywy – jako całościowy system, który obejmuje całą organizację. Ponadto, nawet w podejściu holistycznym pozostaje problem profilu spójności – w każdej organizacji należy dążyć do spójności, ale w inny sposób. W ten sposób pojawia się kwestia dopasowania spójności do struktur organizacyjnych. Ta kwestia analizowana jest w artykule. W strukturach funkcjonalnych menadżerowie mają względna swobodę w decydowaniu o spójności organizacyjnej oraz o platformach spójności. W strukturach procesowych i hybrydowych takiej swobody nie ma. Głównym zadaniem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na problem spójności oraz na konieczność zmiany podejścia w zależności od rodzaju struktury organizacyjnej. Rozważania mają charakter zarówno teoretyczny jak i sporą wartość aplikacyjną.

    Opis:
    The problem of transition zone of structural steel element connected to concrete is discussed in the following paper. This zone may be located for instance in specific bridge composite girder. In such case the composite beam passes smoothly into concrete beam. Because of several dowels usage in the transition zone, the problem of uneven force distribution were discussed through analogy to bolted and welded connections. The authors present innovative solution of transition zone and discuss the results, with emphasis put on the transition zone structural response in term of bending capacity, failure model and force distribution on the connection length. The article wider the already executed experimental test and presents its newest results.
    W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienie kształtowania połączenia elementu stalowego z elementem betonowym w strefie przejściowej belki hybrydowej. Strefa ta może być wykorzystana m.in. w nowatorskich rozwiązaniach zespolonych dźwigarów mostowych, umożliwiając ich swobodne kształtowanie podłużne poprzez płynną zmianę pomiędzy przekrojem zespolonym a betonowym. Przedstawiono różne rozwiązania konstrukcyjne strefy przejściowej oraz poruszono problem nierównomiernego rozdziału sił w połączeniach długich, jako jednego z głównych czynników wpływających na kształtowanie połączenia elementu ze stali konstrukcyjnej z konstrukcją betonową. Prototypowe rozwiązanie strefy przejściowej opisano na podstawie przeprowadzonego badania niszczącego omawiając najnowsze wyniki tego badania oraz analizując model zniszczenia i redystrybucję sił na długości strefy.
