The subject of this publication is the problem of distribution management, exemplified by Company X. The process has been defined by analysing the conditions necessary to satisfy prospects' needs and create the market position of a business entity. The paper focuses on the basic features of distribution system and the character of distribution channels.The assessment of distribution management has been illustrated with an example of Company X. The subjects of interest are: the dynamics of order flow, the delivery readiness rate, and the percentage of specific complaints in the structure of complaints in total between 2009 and 2011. The Pareto chart made it possible to diagnose the main causes of the highest percentage of complaints. As a result of research, the key improvement areas have been identified, the main ones being the functioning of order processing system and completion of deliveries.
Przedmiotem rozważań w niniejszej publikacji jest problematyka zarządzania procesem dystrybucji analizowana z perspektywy przedsiębiorstwa "X". Proces ten zdefiniowano poprzez pryzmat zaspokajania potrzeb potencjalnych klientów oraz kreacji pozycji rynkowej podmiotu gospodarczego, koncentrując się na podstawowych cechach systemu dystrybucji oraz specyfice znaczących w tym aspekcie kanałów. Ocenę zarządzania procesem dystrybucji przedstawiono na przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa "X". Przedmiotem badań była analiza dynamiki liczby zamówień, wskaźnika gotowości dostawczej, jak również wskaźnika udziału poszczególnych grup reklamacji w strukturze reklamacji ogółem przeprowadzona dla okresu badawczego 2009-2011. Implementacja wykresu Pareto-Lorenza umożliwiła diagnozę głównych obszarów generujących największy procent reklamacji. W efekcie prowadzonych badań zdefiniowano kluczowe płaszczyzny wymagające modernizacji w tym w szczególności funkcjonowanie systemu obsługi zamówień jak i trudności z zakresu fizycznego dostarczania produktów oraz kompletacji dostaw.

Le sujet de la contribution reflète la multiplicité des canaux de vente et le rôle d’Internet dans la distribution ainsi que son impact sur le comportement d’achat des consommateurs dans l’agglomération de Bratislava. Grâce aux Technologies d’information et de communication (TIC) les consommateurs mixent les différents canaux et adoptent ainsi une stratégie plus globale grâce à une complémentarité des canaux de ventes en ligne et physique. Il est tout d’abord important de connaître le marché et le comportement des clients vis-à-vis de l’offre des produits pour appréhender les phénomènes de consommation et de comportement tels que l’impact d’Internet sur le réseau physique de magasins. Vu les changements de vision des consommateurs, les entreprises du commerce de détail font figure des plus grands utilisateurs potentiels de nouvelles techniques de traitement des informations sur les consommateurs pour analyser le parcours client. Dans sa première partie, la contribution traite des aspects théoriques d’une distribution multi-canal et l’utilisation du géomarketing dans le commerce en détail. La seconde partie présente les résultats d’une enquête réalisée sur le territoire de la capitale de la République slovaque Bratislava, dans le but de constituer une base de données, composante du système d’information géographique, devant servir à la formation d’un modèle de décision sur l’emplacement des points de vente en conformité avec l’impact des TIC sur les canaux de distribution.

Presented are some engineering problems dealt with in calibrating the parameters of the water supply network model for Polanica Zdrój.Calibrating was carried out on the basis of data sets obtained by measurements and in an analytical approach.Measurements were performed continuously for 7 days and included the following parameters : pressure at 23 models, water levels in the tanks. For the needs of calibration,actual in-service conditions ( observed in the course of field investigations ) were taken into account. The input data sets forthe calibrating process encompassed the following items : topological descriptions of the water distribution system ; schematic representations of the joint notes ; pipe length,pipe diameter,pipe age and pipe material ; information about actual conditions observed in service ; first approximation of identified parameter values and measured results.

The principal research methods were analysis and synthesis as well as a case study.

Artykuł przedstawia zagadnienie prognozowania popytu w ogniwach sieci dystrybucyjnej przeprowadzanego na podstawie archiwalnych danych dokumentów sprzedaży wybranej firmy. Celem analizy była budowa rozwiązania umożliwiającego zautomatyzowanie procesu identyfikacji popytu w punktach sprzedaży detalicznej oraz usprawnienie organizacji procesu dostaw przez wykorzystanie narzędzia informatycznego wspomagającego kompletację ładunków zaopatrzenia towarowego.
The paper presents the problem of forecasting the demand in the cells of the distribution network carried out on the basis of archival data chosen company sales documents. The aim of the analysis was to build a solution to automate the identification of demand in retail stores and streamlining the organization of the supply through the use of IT tools supporting the completion of the supply of goods.

At present often in computer programs the methods of computational intelligence are used, in this expert systems. In building of expert systems the process of knowledge acquisition is one of the principle problem. The improvement of knowledge acquisition is received by use of the machine learning methods. The most popular strategy of knowledge acquisition in the machine learning methods is the inductive inference, in this induction of decision trees. Inductive inference is the process of reaching a general conclusion from specific examples. This paper presents results of the induction of the decision tree intended to evaluation of water distribution system. Rules kept in the decision tree make possible to estimate the new project variants of the water supply network. Applying the induction of decision trees entails the preparation of a set of examples learners. Collection of examples should be representative and sufficiently describe the specific features of the problem. Using information on the eight water supply systems and the parameters of their work, the computations were performed water distribution system. The calculation results were the basis for the calculation defined in this study the variables that characterize the solution of the water distribution system. Five classes are defined to describe the water supply problems due to improper water distribution system and one associated with the correct solution. Each class will be selected on the basis of defined variables. Therefore, the decision tree should lead to the assignment of variables describing the system of water distribution to the appropriate class, characterized by the solution of the system. Using inductive inference obtained decision rules that can be used in expert system that can work with the program for the simulation of hydraulic water distribution systems.

Rolą współczesnego marketingu jest kreowanie i dostarczanie wartości wszystkim interesariuszom firmy. Marka zaś stanowi płaszczyznę, która odzwierciedla skuteczność starań zmierzających w tym kierunku. Istotny udział w kreowaniu silnej marki mają działania związane z dystrybucją i ceną (Dudzik, 2011, s. 134). Można je uznać za zbiór wspólny dwóch istotnych obszarów działań każdej firmy: marketingu i logistyki. Zależnościom pomiędzy tymi obszarami zarządzania warto poświęcić nieco miejsca, gdyż związki pomiędzy nimi oraz spójność strategii marketingowej i logistycznej przesądzają w dużej mierze o sukcesie przedsiębiorstw i ich marek. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie roli logistyki dystrybucji w strategii zarządzania marką oraz zilustrowanie jej przy pomocy krótkich opisów rozwiązań stosowanych przez wybrane firmy. W artykule przedstawiono rys historyczny dotyczący związku marketingu z logistyką oraz koncepcję zarządzania marketingowo-logistycznego, omówiono rolę i znaczenie dystrybucji w działaniach przedsiębiorstw oraz zaprezentowano miejsce dystrybucji w strategiach marek: Coca-Cola, Zara oraz marek należących do konglomeratu Kering (do konglomeratu należą m.in. takie marki jak: Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Boucheron czy Bottega Veneta). Artykuł jest zakończony krótkim podsumowaniem.
The role of modern marketing is to create and deliver value to all stakeholders of the company. Brand is a field that reflects the effectiveness of efforts in this area. Price and distribution play a significant role in creating a strong brand (Dudzik, 2011, p. 134). They can be considered a part of the common of two major areas of activity of each company: marketing and logistics. The relationship between them and the coherence of the marketing strategy and logistics prejudge largely to the success of companies and their brands. The purpose of this article is to present the role of distribution in brand management, and illustrate it with short descriptions of the solutions used by the selected companies. The article presents the historical background of the relationship of marketing and logistics terms and the concept of marketing - logistics management. It discusses the role and importance of distribution in the activities of enterprises and presents distribution strategies of Coca-Cola, Zara, and KERING (The conglomerate includes, among others, brands such as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Boucheron and Bottega Veneta).

Od czasu wprowadzenia pionierskiej fakoemulsyfikacji przez Kelmana stale doskonali się urządzenia pod względem bezpieczeństwa i skuteczności. Niniejsza praca przedstawia aktualne postępy w udoskonalaniu systemu do fakoemulsyfikacji zaćmy na przykładzie urządzenia Centurion Vision System (Alcon Laboratories, Fort Worth, TX, USA). Główny postęp w stosunku do innych urządzeń polega na wprowadzeniu: unowocześnionych kaset, które eliminują wahania ciśnienia w gałce ocznej, systemu zapewniającego stałe, uprzednio zadane ciśnienie wewnątrzgałkowe w czasie operacji oraz nowo zaprojektowanego tipa zmniejszającego generowanie energii w ranie operacyjnej. Wstępne doświadczenia własne są bardzo zachęcające, jednak potrzebne są badania prospektywne określające oraz porównujące wpływ aparatu na określone parametry końcowe (np. ostrość wzroku, grubość rogówki, gęstość śródbłonka, tyndalometria).
Since the introduction of pioneer phacoemulsification by Kelman, it is observed constant improvement of phaco systems with regard to their safety and efficiency. The present paper is to present contemporary advances in systems of phacoemulsification of cataract, showing in details new technological achievements of Centurion Vision System (Alcon Laboratories, Fort Worth, TX, USA). Compared to other previous systems main progress is as follows: improved cassettes provide much more stable fluidics during surgery, new system providing stable IOP in the anterior chamber and newly designed balanced tip that limits energy production in the wound. Preliminary own experience is encouraging, however, prospective studies are needed to establish and compare the influence of the new system on some outcome measures (e.g. BCVA, corneal thickness, endothelial density, tyndalometry).

Wyznaczono podstawowe statystyki cen oraz liczebności aukcji. Wykonano porównanie regionalnego rozmieszczenia ofert. W badaniach wykorzystano autorski programu w języku VBA pracujący w środowisku Excel.
This article attempts to estimate the volume of the supply offers accommodation on a farm and their regional distribution. They were basic price statistics and the number of auctions Examined the regional distribution of bids. The study used the original VBA work In Excel environment.

Current financial control of the operation of waterworks is a prerequisite to meet the demand of effective management, which belongs to the key issues of a well functioning market economy. And in terms of such economy, profit is a decisive criterion of assessing and valuating an enterprise. The paper presents a concept of a modem system for operating cost control in water distribution enterprises. The system proposed includes the definition and statement of all kinds of expences in a clear and unequivocal way, as well as assigns the stated expences to particular intended operating tasks which are subject to continuous analysis. From the data obtained it can be inferred that the proposed system of operating cost control will become indispensable to a variety of enterprises. The implementation of the system will reduce operating costs and upgrade the cost-effectiveness of waterworks.

The research confirmed that users of mobile banking use other sales channels for financial services more frequently and more intensively. The most popular functions using by mobile banking customers were checking accounts. Mobile banking is perceived as insecure, even more than internet banking. The most expected functionality of mobile banking is the ability to make NFC mobile payments for purchases in store.

Problem optymalizacji rozdziału palet jest jednym z wielu problemów optymalizacyjnych pojawiających się we współcześnie funkcjonujących centrach dystrybucyjnych. Jest on jednak kluczowy poza np. optymalizacją tras czy optymalizacją rozmieszczenia zapasów w magazynach wysokiego składowania. Dodatkowo należy podkreślić, że problem optymalizacji rozdziału palet do tras i przydziału do samochodów odbywa się w horyzoncie krótkookresowym np. raz na dobę. W artykule przedstawiony został model optymalizacyjny oraz implementacyjny. Przedstawiono również rozwiązanie modelu dla dwóch przykładów liczbowych. Jako środowisko implementacji i rozwiązania modelu zaproponowano pakiet optymalizacji dyskretnej Lingo firmy LINDO.

However, it is very important problem excepting e.g. routing optimization, space optimization, etc. Additionally, that problem optimization of pallets allocation for routes and trucks is a short-run horizon process e.g. every day. The optimization and implementation model of that problem has been presented in this paper. Solution of this model for two numerical examples has been describing also. As a solution environment package of discreet optimization Lingo has been used.
