Artykuł dotyczy problematyki metodyk prowadzenia projektów systemów pomiarowo-sterujących. W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję autorskiej metodyki opracowanej na podstawie metodyk już istniejących. Zaprezentowano założenia organizacji zespołu, cyklu życia i zarządzania czasem, procesy oraz eksperyment przeprowadzony z wykorzystaniem metodyki.
Project management as well as control and measuring systems are the issues that the paper is focused on. It is the first time the correlation between them is discussed. The conception of the project management methodology developed on the basis of several existing methodologies is presented in the paper (Section 2). Key issues of team organization, life cycle, time management and processes (Fig. 1) are shown and described in order to fully understand the assumptions of the methodology (Section 3). To analyse correctness of the methodology, the experiment was conducted (Section 4) during which participants wrote programs for two distributed control and measuring systems with use of the software engineering technic - Test-Driven Development methodology with dedicated LabVIEW tools (NI Unit Test Framework Toolkit and JKI VI Tester). The positive result of the experiment as well as reception of the developed approach proved methodology to be highly usable for the environment of control and measuring systems.

Artykuł pokazuje główne problemy, jakie badacz może napotkać podczas realizacji badań metodą CAWI, stosowaną wśród respondentów skupionych w panelach badawczych. W szczególności omówiono problemy związane z identyfikacją zjawiska profesjonalnego panelisty oraz sposoby radzenia sobie z tym zjawiskiem. Opisano pułapki, jakie pojawiają się przy opracowaniu danych z badań prowadzonych w panelach badawczych. Najważniejszymi z nich są: sposoby agregowania danych, prezentacja danych z zastosowaniem prostego narzędzia, jakim jest chmura słów, a także efekty stosowania autorskich rozwiązań w zakresie definiowania wskaźników. Celem nadrzędnym artykułu jest otwarcie dyskusji na temat standardów prowadzenia badań CAWI w panelach badawczych. Teza artykułu głosi, że: metodologia projektowa stosowana w zarządzaniu panelem badawczym stawia przed badaczem chcącym zachować standardy poznania naukowego problemy, z których nie wszystkie mają proste rozwiązania. Bez odpowiedzi pozostawione zostaje pytanie, czy badania prowadzone wśród panelistów zrzeszonych w panelu badawczym muszą lub powinny stosować standardy badań naukowych.
The paper shows the main problems that the researcher may encounter in implementing CAWI research when used towards the respondents participating in research panels. In particular the paper discusses the problems associated with the identification of the phenomenon of professional panelist and ways to deal with this phenomenon. Other pitfalls that arise in the development of the data from studies conducted in research panels are also described. The most important are: how to aggregate data, and how to present data. Special emphasis was put on using a simple tool which is a words cloud. The other problem was discovered when analyzing the effects of methodological individualism seen in defining indicators. The main goal of this article is to open the discussion on standards of research conducted by CAWI method especially applied to survey within research panels. The thesis of the article is that: the project methodology used in the management of a research panel puts the researcher, wanting to keep the standards of scientific cognition, in front of complexed methodological issues, not all of which have simple solutions. Left unanswered is the question whether studies conducted among the panelists who are members of the research panel must or should apply the standards of scientific research.

Opis:
Improving the educational process through evaluation requires adopting new concepts and approaches. In addition to the traditional methodologies applied in this field, such as observation or surveys, business methods are increasingly being implemented, including the Deming cycle or selected elements of project management methodologies. Their application allows for a holistic and unbiased view of the quality of teaching and learning. This article aims to illustrate and evaluate the usefulness of project management methodologies in identifying Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and risks in creating and evaluating academic courses. The subject of the research was the course “Creativity and Decision-making”, and the main method of the research, which was conducted in four cycles from 2020 to 2023, was the Deming cycle (PDCA). Data collection was based on data triangulation, including unstructured interviews with students and experts, as well as participant observation. Content analysis with a categorisation key was used to analyse the data, with the results presenting lists of extracted critical success and risk factors determining the quality of the course. The implemented procedure represents an innovative approach to the evaluation of academic courses, at the core of which is the creation and updating of two substantively opposing lists: the determinants of learning successes and failures constituting of a map of strategic control points, and a basis for the improvement of the educational process.

Celem pracy jest pokazanie uwarunkowań, przebiegu oraz rezultatów transformacji przedsiębiorstwa wynikającej z wprowadzenia nowej metodyki zarządzania projektami. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań własnych w postaci studium przypadku przedsiębiorstwa sektora teleinformatyki wprowadzającego nową zwinną metodykę zarządzania projektami. Jak wykazano w badaniach, zmiana metodyki zarządzania projektami może prowadzić zarówno do zwiększenia szans na sukces dużych i złożonych projektów informatycznych oraz teleinformatycznych, jak i do transformacji całej organizacji, rozumianej jako szereg gruntownych zmian w obszarach technologicznym, metodycznym, procesowym, strategicznym, organizacyjnym i kulturowym, zorientowanych na zwiększenie przewagi konkurencyjnej.
The paper is focused on conditions, process and results of the organizational transformation due to the introduction of new project management methodology. After literature review, the case study of the ICT company implementing new agile project management methodology is presented. As the results show, the change of the project management methodology might affect the project success in large and complex IT and ICT projects. Moreover, it might lead to the organizational transformation in technology, methodology, processes, strategy, organization and organizational culture extending competitive advantage of the organization.

Artykuł referuje wyniki badań prowadzonych w konwencji action research w toku programu realizacji strategii informatyzacji Politechniki Warszawskiej, nominowanego w 2015 r. do nagrody liderów zarządzania uczelniami „Lumen”. Nowa koncepcja, o charakterze ogólniejszym niż tylko dla Politechniki, określa zasady konstruowania podejścia metodyczno-organizacyjnego, z jednej strony czerpiącego zarówno z metodyk „twardych”, jak i metodyk agile, z drugiej zaś strony różnicującego to podejście dla projektów różnej skali. Koncepcja jest przedmiotem rozprawy doktorskiej.
Searching for causes of low efficiency of IT projects in public universities, the specifics of its operation were analysed in the external and internal environment. A number of IT projects of different scale were analysed in „action research”. Inadequate adequacy of recognised project management methodologies to the universities specifics was found. Important factors of low effectiveness carried out deployments, were identified. It was considered that for projects of different scale influence somewhat different factors and they require different methodical approach. On this basis, the vulnerability research was described. The master classification of different scale projects, which have been assigned important factors having an impact on their implementation, was developed taking into account technical and pre-project activities. The paper is the concept of a methodical implementation of IT projects in public universities.

The specific nature of project management causes that the selection of the right people to join the project team has become crucial to the success of any project. The present study aims at showing the role of a well-chosen project team in the project management regardless of whether the project is run according to traditional or agile methodologies. Special attention has been paid to the decision making process in project team with the use of traditional and agile methodologies. In case of traditional, classical methodologies, more efficient are teams of highly qualified specialists, which are able to make decisions, more often individual ones, as quickly as possible and precisely. Given the fact that in agile methodologies there is greater decisiveness of the team, group decisions are made more often. Management’s confidence in project team is of vital importance in agile methodologies. In order to fulfill the aim of the study, traditional and agile methodologies for project management have been briefly characterized, the process of project team building and the results of scientific research pointing to significant role of the project team in project management have been presented. It has been stressed out that, regardless of the chosen methodology, while selecting project team members it is important to consider not only members’ knowledge or experience, but also relevant personality traits and interpersonal skills (social skills). However, it should be pointed out that given the specific nature of the agile methodologies, social skills of team members become incredibly important, and in many cases more important than professional competences.

The main purpose of the paper is to examine, on the basis of empirical research, the perceived manner of project management in organizations, as well as to determine the frequency of application of selected project management methodologies, in addition to the assessment of their usefulness for project risk management. The first part of the paper presents - identified on the basis of literature studies - types and examples of project management methodologies along with basic assumptions of the project risk management process, and in the second part - the results of empirical research conducted by recourse to a questionnaire among the participants of projects implemented in various types of organizations. The study showed that in organizations employing respondents, the methodical manner of project management is most often used, while the most popular project management methodologies were PMBoK, Agile and PRINCE2, wherein respondents highly rated the usefulness of selected methodologies for effective project risk management.

Technika „Planowanie Oparte na Produktach” przedstawiona została na przykładzie pewnego przedsięwzięcia informatycznego.
The source of the article is a lecture conducted by the author in the Afternoon WWSI University, knowledge and experience of the author supported by certified PRINCE2™ Practitioner. The subject of the article is the technique of planning “Planning-based on Products” - the base for the methodology of PRINCE2™. The article begins with a brief introduction and description of the model PRINCE2™:2005, and then the characteristics of the process of “Planning” (PL). The article concludes with a description of the four-step technique consisting of the "Planning-based on Products", distinguished from other methodologies PRINCE2™ Project Management methodology. Technique “Planning-based on Products” is presented as an example of a IT project.

Purpose: The purpose of the paper was to investigate the relationship between the applied project management methodologies and the perception of the employer's brand attractiveness. In addition, an attempt was made to identify the variability of this relationship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach: Empirical research was conducted to verify the existence of the predicted relationship and to reach the aim of the paper. The set of hypotheses was built based on the theoretical research and then verified in two differently constructed research (the study was conducted using the CAWI method) on two separate samples of respondents: 92 students (potential employees) and 81 employees working on projects in organizations operating in Poland. The calculations were made using the PS Imago Pro ver. 7.0 and Process macro for SPSS ver. 4.1 by Andrew F. Hayes. Findings: It has been shown that the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic did not directly affect the perception of the employer's brand attractiveness, but it is a moderator of the relationship between the applied project management methodologies and the attractiveness of the employer's brand. However, although the authors found the basic relationship true for both groups of respondents, the moderating effect is valid only for a group of employees. Research limitations/implications: The analysis is based on a limited number of cases in particular groups. In order to generalize the results in future research larger samples can be collected. There is also space to search for factors explaining why and under what conditions the type of project management methodology affects the attractiveness of the employer's brand. Practical implications: The obtained results contribute to the practice of management, showing that among the various groups of factors determining the attractiveness of the employer's brand, the attributes of the work processes (which include also the selection of project management methodology) are important as well. Organizations that apply agile project management methodologies can be more attractive to employees, especially in times of crisis and attract the more qualified specialists in the industry. Thus emphasizing the use of agile project management methodologies can be part of an employer's branding strategy shaping. Originality/value: The research makes an important contribution to the body of human resources and project management literature by demonstrating COVID-19 as a significant moderator for the relationship between the applied project management methodologies and the attractiveness of the employer's brand.

Opis:
Dynamic growth of tourism business requires creation of new project attractive packages of services with corresponding quality and quantity. Expedient and relevant issue is the design and implementation of efficient and successful projects of socio–economic and innovative character in tourism, which need special methodology. The purpose of writing this article is to develop theoretical and methodological foundations of project management in tourist business. We applied general scientific and special research methods: analysis, synthesis, comparative characteristics, theoretical generalization, project approach. It was determined that the methodology of project management in tourism must take into account the main trends in the development of world tourism and local project view, aimed at cooperation and integration of local, regional and global tourist projects in accordance with the forecast of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). It was shown that in the project management they distinguish 9 functional branches, the main of which are the management of the subject area of the project (the contents), management of quality, time, cost, and additional – management of staff, communications, contracts, risks and integration of projects.  The basis of the methodology of project management in tourism is the analysis of the needs of tourists in the target market and capabilities of tourist operator to satisfy them by using methods of observation, comparison, intuition, logic, applying the tools of marketing management. It was concluded that the methodology of project management implies consistent and interconnected implementation of the functions of management of tourism activity by the use of methods, tools, techniques and methodology of research in tourism. Management of tourism projects requires taking into account the features of tourist services with regular fluctuations in demand, changes in space and time, inseparability from the source (destination) and the impossibility to store. The scientific novelty of the research is in determining the methodology of project management in tourism, which covers integrated system of functions, methods, means and tools of planning and fulfillment of projects, taking into account the priorities of the development of tourism and resource and service facilities of enterprises in tourism industry, aimed at identifying future needs of tourists during their trip even before the completion of the project. The practical significance of obtained results is to apply the features of the methodology of project management in tourism business to obtain socio–economic synergy that will manifest itself in successful completion of the project, increasing the competitiveness of a destination, where the results of tourism project are implemented. Further research might be promising in the direction of modeling the development of tourist industry in Ukraine, taking into account the features of the methodology of project management in tourism business.

Доцільним і актуальним питанням є розробка і впровадження ефективних і результативних проектів соціально-економічного й інноваційного характеру в туризмі, які потребують особливої методології. Мета написання статті полягає в розробці теоретико-методологічних основ проектного менеджменту в туристичному бізнесі. Застосовано загальнонаукові та спеціальні методи досліджень: аналіз, синтез, порівняльних характеристик, теоретичного узагальнення, проектний підхід. Визначено, що методологія проектного менеджменту в туризмі має враховувати основні закономірності розвитку світового туризму й локального проектного світогляду, спрямованих на взаємодію й інтеграцію місцевих, регіональних і глобальних туристичних проектів відповідно до прогнозів Всесвітньої туристичної організації (ЮНВТО). З’ясовано, що в проектному менеджменті виділяють 9 функціональних галузей, основні з яких – менеджмент предметної галузі проекту (змісту), менеджмент якості, часу, вартості, а додаткові – менеджмент персоналу, комунікацій, контрактів, ризиків й інтеграції проектів. В основу методології проектного менеджменту в туризмі покладено аналіз потреб туристів на цільовому ринку й можливостей туристичного оператора задовольнити їх із застосуванням методів спостереження, порівняння, інтуїції, логіки, використанням інструментів маркетингового менеджменту. Зроблено висновок, що методологію проектного менеджменту становлять послідовна і взаємопов’язана реалізація функцій менеджменту туристичної діяльності шляхом використання методів, способів, прийомів і методик дослідження в туризмі. Для менеджменту туристичних проектів необхідний облік особливостей туристичних послуг із постійними коливаннями попиту, змінами якості у просторі та часі, невіддільністю від джерела (дестинації), неможливістю зберігання. Наукова новизна дослідження полягає у визначенні методології проектного менеджменту в туризмі, яка охоплює інтегровану систему функцій, методів, способів та інструментів планування й реалізації проектів, враховуючи пріоритети розвитку туризму і ресурсно-сервісні можливості підприємств туристичної індустрії, спрямовані на визначення майбутніх потреб туристів під час їх подорожі ще до завершення проекту. Практичне значення дослідження – використання особливостей методології проектного менеджменту в туристичному бізнесі з метою отримати соціально-економічний синергетичний ефект, який виявиться в успішному завершенні проекту, підвищенні конкурентоспроможності дестинації, де впроваджуватимуться результати туристичного проектування. У перспективі подальші дослідження можна спрямувати у бік моделювання розвитку туристичної галузі в Україні з урахуванням особливостей методології проектного менеджменту в туристичному бізнесі.

Artykuł koncentruje się na analizie korzyści i zagrożeń związanych ze stosowaniem zasad scrum w środowisku pracy zdalnej. Postawiony problem badawczy odnosi się do oceny pracy zdalnej w projektach realizowanych przy wykorzystaniu metodyki scrum. W toku rozważań zdefiniowano cztery główne pytania badawcze, dotyczące wydajności pracy zdalnej w scrum, stopnia skomplikowania prowadzonych w ten sposób projektów oraz dostrzeganych przez respondentów korzyści i zagrożeń wynikających z realizacji projektów zgodnie z metodyką scrum w porównaniu z pracą zdalną. W badaniu posłużono się metodą ankietową i zastosowano technikę ankiety internetowej. Dobór respondentów do badań był celowy ze względu na ich miejsce zatrudnienia – branża IT. Praca zdalna przy realizacji projektów informatycznych niesie ze sobą według respondentów wymierne korzyści w postaci komunikacji asynchronicznej, lepszej wydajności oraz zwiększonej odpowiedzialności za wykonywaną pracę. Z kolei największe zagrożenie to liczba i długość spotkań.
in a remote work environment. The research problem concerns the assessment of remote work in projects conducted using the Scrum methodology. Four main research questions were asked regarding the effectiveness of remote work in Scrum, the complexity of projects conducted in this way, and the benefits and threats of implementing projects using the Scrum methodology and remote work noticed by the respondents. The survey method was chosen as the research method and the online survey technique was used. The selection of respondents for the research was purposeful due to their place of employment, i.e. the IT industry. According to the respondents, remote work while implementing IT projects brings the most important benefits in the form of asynchronous communication, better efficiency, and increased responsibility for the work performed. In turn, the greatest challenge is the number and length of meetings.

The paper is focused on conditions, process and results of the organizational change due to the introduction of new project management methodology. After literature review, the multiple case study of the ICT companies implementing new agile project management methodology is being presented. As the results show, the change of the project management methodology might affect the project success in large and complex ICT projects. Moreover, it might lead to the organizational transformation in technology, methodology, processes, strategy, organization and organizational culture extending competitive advantage of the organization.
Celem pracy jest pokazanie uwarunkowań, przebiegu oraz skutków zmian organizacyjnych wynikających z wprowadzenia nowej metodyki zarządzania projektami. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań własnych w postaci wielokrotnego studium przypadku przedsiębiorstw sektora teleinformatyki wprowadzających nową zwinną metodykę zarządzania projektami. Jak wykazano w badaniach, zmiana metodyki zarządzania projektami może prowadzić zarówno do zwiększenia szans na sukces dużych i złożonych projektów informatycznych oraz teleinformatycznych, jak i do transformacji przedsiębiorstwa, rozumianej jako szereg gruntownych zmian w obszarach technologicznym, metodycznym, procesowym, strategicznym, organizacyjnym i kulturowym, zorientowanych na zwiększenie przewagi konkurencyjnej.
