Artykuł podejmuje problematykę wpływu Internetu na wychowanie osoby ludzkiej na przykładzie Katolickiej Szkoły Podstawowej im. Piotra Dunina w Chojnicach.
This article discusses how the Internet influences a person’s upbringing. It is based on a study carried out at the Piotr Dunin Catholic Primary School in Chojnice. The study investigated how safely students use the Internet and social media, the potential impact on upbringing and whether the school carries out work aimed at the personal development of students. The study showed that the amount of time spent at the computer does affect the pedagogical process. Parents and teachers are aware of this and they take appropriate steps in harmony with the school’s educational and preventive program. Although the amount of time students from this school spend online is not alarming, the parents and the school take appropriate measures to control and limit the use of the Internet as it is an instrument that disturbs personalistic upbringing.

Teachers’ beliefs concerning the possibility of modeling pupils’ moral characterThe main aim of the present investigation is to gain knowledge about teachers’ beliefs concerning the possibility of modeling pupils’ moral character. The main components in the process of moral education are a teacher’s personality, awareness of their role in education, their skills and competencies and belief in the possibility of infl uencing their pupils. In view of these facts it has been agreed that there should be conducted a study to examine how teachers assess their own abilities and skills in modeling their pupils’ character, and how they see teachers’ overall possibilities in this area. The research used a questionnaire “Character Education Effi cacy Belief Instrument” developed by Milson and Mehlig (2002). This tool measures teachers’ beliefs concerning their effectiveness of modeling pupils’ moral character. There are two scales used in this measurement. The first scale allows to assess teachers’ personal effectiveness of teaching (personal teaching efficacy – PTE) and the second one allows to assess general effectiveness of teaching (general teaching efficacy – GTE). There were 218 people involved in the research (83% were women, and 17% men). The results show a signifi cant difference between the assessment of personal teaching effectiveness (PTE) and general teaching effectiveness (GTE). Respondents (teachers) evaluate their own abilities in modeling their pupils’ moral characters higher than the general ability of teachers in this respect. Three factors were taken into account in the analysis: teacher’s gender, type of school where the respondents work and subjects they teach.

Opis:
The question of legal education is recognised as important along various dimensions and thus has been in the focus of attention of numerous distinguished legal scholars and practitioners all over the world. The problem of legal education includes not just methodological issues, but also the issues that are par excellence philosophical in nature. Legal education has a specificity that arises from the nature of law and its complexity, and is related to the personal dimension of this education. The process of education should be organised in such a way that students should be in contact with members of the legal community whose authority, moral and subject matter-related attributes play a vital, formative role in legal education. The author tries to confront the didactics-related reality with ideals and postulates present within this field. Yet, it is revealed that such a reality is hidden below a “thick layer” of myths, which have grown around legal education. These myths blur the real picture of lawyers’ education, creating a kind of legal education mythology. Two types of systemic legal myths are indicated. The first one is built on the paradigm of university legal education. The other type is based on the paradigm of university studies.

We consider socio-relational dimension of the teacher profession and the competence of teachers to develop the social skills of pupils to be key factors in education nowadays. Teacher education and teacher training focusing on social dimension are closely connected with challenges like societal changes, inclusion, multiculturalism, but also life on social networks, socio-pathological phenomena etc. From that point of view curriculum reconstruction is in need with stronger accent on teachers social competence in the frame of new approaches in education sciences and psychology. In the article we analyze especially two ways of developing curriculum based on social- relational dimension. First one is focused on promoting the personal level of teacher social competence, especially cooperative competence, the second one on teacher education and training in the didactics of social skills (why, what and how) in the frame of cross – curricular theme of “personal and social education”. The analysis of two ways are based on research and authors experience both in pre-service and in-service education

The recent changes in Europe have changed the understanding of higher education systems in Turkey; as such, higher education institutions have affiliated themselves with a reconstruction period. In this process, it has been emphasized that today’s societies are in need of individuals who are well-developed in personal and professional domains. The concept of life-wide learning has emphasised that the people graduating from universities just with the knowledge of their domains will be inefficient for fulfilling the needs of future societies. This study reflects on the results of research that was designed to develop and test an instrument that could identify the components of an undergraduate’s life-wide learning habits. Since it was difficult to anticipate the components of lifelong learning because of its complex nature, considerable attempts were made in order to handle the process for cognitive, physiological, affective, social, technical and cultural domains. The instrument which was developed - Life-wide Learning Habits Scale- was trialled with 645 undergraduate students studying at the faculty of education across a range of variables. The data was subjected to an explanatory factor analysis, allowing the identification of four dimensions of lifelong learning. These dimensions appear to be capable of differentiating between the personal developmental habits, professional habits, care-based habits, leisure habits of graduates. The developed scale was applied to 296 undergraduate students and the life-wide learning habits of students were assessed regarding their genders, departments and socio-economic situations. Depending on the collected data, lifelong learning habits of university students have been discussed, and some suggestions have been proposed to overcome diffi culties in organizational changes in higher education.

Social responsibility is a multidimensional construct which manifests itself in many areas of human life – in both the private and professional spheres. In business, people’s individual attitudes are often the starting point for organizational activities. Even the most ethical business behavior, if not matched by changes on the part of individuals, will not create a change on a larger scale. Thus, personal social responsibility can be defined as a key element of corporate social responsibility (CSR), because the implementation of this idea in business depends on the behavior of the individuals working in the company. The main purpose of the article is to investigate published knowledge concerning the concept of personal or individual social responsibility (PSR or ISR) and the personal or individual social responsibility scale. The authors made a systematic literature review, analyzing full-text scholarly articles published between 2000 and 2021. International databases and journal libraries – EBSCO, JSTOR, Mendeley, Wiley Online Library, Web of Science, and Scopus – were searched using the logical phrases “personal social responsibility,” “individual social responsibility,” “personal social responsibility scale,” and “individual social responsibility scale.” The analysis shows that the concept of individual/personal social responsibility is considered in the literature in various contexts, though few works are available on this concept and even fewer describe its indicators. Using keywords relevant to the area, 14 publications were selected for analysis. This leads to the conclusion that there is a research gap in this area, which the authors intend to fill in the course of further research.
