In this article the problem of the algorithm of the transaction execution as the factor in market impact modelling is studied. The current state of research in this area is presented and discussed. Opis:
The drift in the stock price and the occurring of the transaction costs in the stock market can significantly affect the profitability of the investment in the stock. In the article the model of the market is described with the stock price drift and two sources of the transaction costs: bid-ask spread and market impact. In the considered model, the trading strategy which maximizes the expected amount of money received from selling the shares of the stock of the market participant subject to the constraint of the constant trading velocity is explicitly determined. The numerical example is also included.

Opis:
Liquidity is an important characteristic of a stock traded on the stock exchange. The expected value of transaction costs, which takes into account the transaction's volume and duration, may be a considered as an important measure of a liquidity of a traded stock. In this paper the formulas for expected transaction cost, caused by bid-ask spread and market impact are presented. Moreover, in this article, the problem of determining a duration of a transaction of a stock sale which minimizes the transaction cost and takes into account the forecast of the expected stock price on the stock exchange, is considered.

Regulatory Impact Assessment as an Aspect of the Regulatory Process The chief method to weigh regulatory influence is Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA). Its potential is hidden in the high probability of triggering the process of advancing dialogue between public representatives and stakeholders. That stimulates the creation of a fertile ground for the higher quality of public debate, institutions and, eventually, law. The RIA as a method of neutralising the negative consequences of the market mechanism is perceived as an expression of the better governance process focused on achieving more social inclusivity and higher regulatory effectiveness. The RIA promotes a systemic and comparison-friendly approach in the process of lawmaking. The RIA enforces the strict formulation of the problem (subject of regulation), aims of public intervention, and alternative ways of their attainment. The process of RIA in such jurisdictions as Polish still lags behind as a result of serious infrastructure shortages (human capital as a key one).

Research background: The current health crisis, which began to take shape in mid-March 2020 due to the massive spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, has shaped the face of the Slovak labour market the most. Slovakia, similarly, to other countries in the world, has operated with several non-pharmaceutical anti-pandemic measures taken by the government to reduce the spread of the virus or reverse adverse developments. On the other hand, these measures have frozen production, and business activities of companies annulled not only the number of physical meetings with business collaborators but also business contracts themselves. Consequently, the demand for new labour has decreased, and in many cases, redundancies have occurred. Purpose of the article: The study aims to develop a comprehensive and detailed analysis of unemployment and its development in Slovakia, during the 1st and 2nd wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, determine the extent to which the anti-pandemic measures have affected the Slovak labour market, and identify the most affected groups of unemployed. Methods: To analyze the impact of the anti-pandemic measures on the unemployment situation in Slovakia, we applied the approach where the statistically created hypothetical state of the absence of the pandemic was compared with the real state as the consequence of the pandemic. The hypothetical state was modelled by the autoregressive 1st order or one-dimensional time series model with a linear trend and seasonability. Findings & value added: The results of the analysis identify the groups of the population, mostly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic together with the quantification of the impact on unemployment. The findings of quantification of the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on the Slovak labour market can be further used in creating targeted measures aimed at supporting unemployed individuals or at the sustainability of already existing jobs and in other governmental economic and social decisions.

W niniejszym opracowaniu przeanalizowano regionalne zróżnicowanie rynku pracy w okresie od 2005 do 2015 roku. Dokonano tego na przykładzie województw wielkopolskiego i podkarpackiego. W Polsce istnieją znaczne różnice pomiędzy poszczególnymi województwami, na poziom bezrobocia w każdym z nich ma wpływ wiele różnych elementów. Celem artykułu było pokazanie, że także zaszłości historyczne determinują aktualną sytuację gospodarczą. Autor wskazał możliwe zależności między aktualną sytuacją na rynku pracy, a uwarunkowaniami historycznymi. Zaproponowane zostały również działania mające na celu poprawę sytuacji gospodarczej w regionie.
This paper presents regional differences in the labor market between 2005 up to 2015. This was done on the example of wielkopolskie and podkarpackie voivodships. In Poland there are significant differences between voivodships, the level of unemployment in each of them depends on many different factors. The aim of the article was to show that also historical events had determined the current economic situation. An author pointed out possible connections between the current situation on the labor market and historical determinants, and proposed actions aimed at improving the economic situation in the region.

The analysis of labour market participation of the working-age population is a complex issue due to the multitude of factors determining this phenomenon, e.g. age, material status, availability of labour market offers to meet individual employee’s needs. People with disabilities are undoubtedly among those most at risk of social exclusion, which is clearly indicated and underlined by the issues addressed in this article. The current economic situation in Poland makes it possible for people with disabilities to undertake professional activity, especially in so-called sheltered employment conditions – in sheltered workshops, as well as in open employment conditions – in commercial enterprises. The results of research presented in this article are intended to present the economic situation of people with disabilities in Poland in comparison with other EU countries. Based on the results of own research, carried out in cooperation with a non-profit organisation – one of the most recognisable student associations in Polandand on statistics from individual EU countries collected by government institutions, a model was created to forecast the demand for jobs in both market environments. The need of people with disabilities both to integrate with non-disabled people and their reluctance to work in closed environments of people with disabilities and the resulting social conditions were recognized.
Analiza aktywności zawodowej ludności w wieku produkcyjnym jest zagadnieniem złożonym ze względu na mnogość czynników determinujących to zjawisko, takich jak np. wiek, status materialny, dostępność ofert na rynku pracy dostosowanych do indywidualnych potrzeb pracownika. Osoby z niepełnosprawnościami są niewątpliwie jednymi z najbardziej narażonych na ryzyko wykluczenia społecznego, co wyraźnie wskazuje i podkreśla problematyka podjęta w artykule. Obecna sytuacja gospodarcza w Polsce pozwala osobom z niepełnosprawnościami na podjęcie działalności zawodowej, zwłaszcza w tzw. warunkach pracy chronionej – zakładach pracy chronionej, a także w warunkach pracy otwartej – w przedsiębiorstwach komercyjnych. Wyniki badań prezentowane w artykule mają na celu przybliżenie sytuacji gospodarczej osób z niepełnosprawnościami w Polsce na tle innych krajów UE. Na podstawie wyników badań własnych, przeprowadzonych przy współpracy z organizacją non profit – jednym z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych stowarzyszeń studenckich w Polsce – i dzięki statystykom z poszczególnych krajów UE kolekcjonowanym przez instytucje rządowe, stworzono model umożliwiający prognozowanie zapotrzebowania na miejsca pracy w obu środowiskach rynkowych. Dostrzeżono bowiem potrzebę osób z niepełnosprawnością zarówno do integracji z osobami pełnosprawnymi, jak i ich niechęć do aktywności zawodowej w zamkniętych środowiskach osób tylko z niepełnosprawnościami i wynikających z tego uwarunkowań społecznych.

The aim of this article is to describe social impact bonds as an innovative instrument for financing social services. The first part presents the nature of this solution in its economic, institutional and legal aspects. Then we analyse the chances of social impact bond development taking into account the labour market and the financial market. In the next part, the authors present a proposal to use the model of social impact bonds in employment support services. The summary is a critical analysis of the model, presenting its weaknesses and relevant remedial strategies.
Celem artykułu jest opisanie obligacji społecznych jako innowacyjnego instrumentu finansowania usług społecznych. W pierwszej części przedstawiona jest istota tego rozwiązania w wymiarze ekonomicznym, instytucjonalnym oraz prawnym. Następnie dokonana jest analiza szans rozwoju obligacji społecznych w Polsce, biorąc pod uwagę uwarunkowania rynku pracy i rynku kapitałowego. W dalszej części autorzy przedstawiają propozycję zastosowania modelu obligacji społecznych w usługach aktywizacji zawodowej. Podsumowaniem jest krytyczna analiza modelu ukazująca potencjalnie słabe strony interwencji z zastosowanym mechanizmem wraz z propozycjami przeciwdziałania.

The purpose of the hereby article is to discuss the essence of impact investment as one of the Socially Responsible Investment strategies and situating her in investment strategies. Moreover, the characteristics of impact investment market environment will be presented. In accordance with the definitions adopted in the subject literature, impact investment represents the form of investment made with the intention to exert influence on measurable changes of social and environmental nature, along with generating financial return, about the results of which the investors (sources of impact capital) should be informed by such investments managers. Impact investment market environment consists of e.g. beneficiaries of social and environmental changes, entities implementing particular tasks within the framework of impact investment, investors, channels of impact capital and forms of finance. Market environment is also made up of e.g. specialized agencies the task of which is both developing and measuring the specific measures of the created changes.
Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie istoty impact investment jako jednej ze strategii realizacji koncepcji SRI oraz umiejscowienie jej w dotychczas stosowanych strategiach inwestycyjnych, a także charakterystyka otoczenia rynku impact investment. Zgodnie z przyjętymi w literaturze definicjami impact investment to forma inwestycji, której zamiarem jest, obok uzyskania zysku finansowego, wywarcie wpływu na mierzalne zmiany o charakterze społecznym i środowiskowym, o wynikach których zarządzający tymi inwestycjami powinni informować inwestorów. Otoczenie rynku impact investment składa się m.in. z beneficjentów zmian społecznych i środowiskowych, podmiotów realizujących poszczególne zadania w ramach impact investment, inwestorów, kanałów dystrybucji oraz sposobów finansowania przedsięwzięć. W skład otoczenia rynku wchodzą także m.in. wyspecjalizowane agencje, których zadaniem jest opracowywanie i pomiar konkretnych mierników wykreowanych zmian.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the direct impact of chosen airports on the regional labor markets in Poland. The authors try to answer the following research questions: how the development of the Polish air transport market influenced labor markets in regions? Whether the growing air traffic at Polish airports, particularly regional airports, entails the increase of employment at airports and in companies located at the airports and offering services for air transport? Whether the increase of employment is proportional to the increase in the number of passengers and cargo in the air transport? In the introduction the categories of impact of an airport on regional economy have been described, then the development of the air transport market in Poland after the accession to the EU and direct impact of chosen airports on labor market – employment generated by 5 regional airports, which shared the primary data, i.e. Kraków Airport, Katowice Airport, Wrocław Airport, Bydgoszcz Airport, and Szczecin Airport have been presented. The analysis of the size of employment has been tied with the analysis of changes in the size of air traffic in the examined airports. In the last part of the article these airports have been presented in the background of the biggest employers in the regions from the industry, trade and services sectors.

Paint and varnishes market is one of the fastest growing globally, mainly due to the huge demand in the construction industry. Based on the purpose of using paints, varnishes and other coatings industry can be categorized in architectural decorative, industrial and special purpose coatings. The largest segment, with highest number of producers is the decorative one. The development of raw materials for decorative market segment must satisfy the needs of todays and future end users as well as regulatory challenges and economical challenges. This will not happen without influence on currently used raw materials and future development. Aim of the article is present short history of coating industry on the world and in Poland, drivers of changes that are currently ongoing as well as future trends and developments.
Rynek farb i lakierów jest jednym z najszybciej rozwijających się na świecie, głównie ze względu na ogromne zapotrzebowanie w branży budowlanej. Biorąc pod uwagę zastosowanie końcowe farb i lakierów rynek ten można podzielić na architektoniczne powłoki dekoracyjne, przemysłowe i specjalne. Największy segment z największą liczbą producentów stanowi segment dekoracyjny. Rozwój surowców do segmentu farb i lakierów dekoracyjnych musi spełniać potrzeby dzisiejszych i przyszłych użytkowników jak i wyzwań regulacyjnych oraz wyzwań ekonomicznych. Nie stanie się to bez wpływu na obecnie stosowane surowce i przyszły rozwój. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie krótkiej historii przemysłu lakierniczego na świecie i w Polsce, wskazanie czynników napędzających obecnie ten rynek jak również wskazanie trendów istotnych w przyszłości.

W artykule przedstawione zostały informacje dotyczące istoty działalności kurierskiej w Polsce. Opisano zakres usług oferowanych przez przedsiębiorstwa kurierskie w naszym kraju oraz pokazano jakie znaczenie ma tego typu działalność w realizacji indywidualnych potrzeb społeczeństwa. Charakterystyce poddano najważniejsze kryteria decydujące o poziomie jakości usług oferowanych przez przedsiębiorstwa zajmujące się dostarczaniem różnego rodzaju przesyłek w kraju i zagranicą. Dodatkowo zaprezentowano opinie wybranych klientów korzystających z usług oferowanych przez trzy firmy kurierskie funkcjonujące na terenie Polski, tj. DPD, UPS i GLS.
The article presents information on the essence of the courier activity in Poland. The range of services provided by courier companies in our country was described. Also, the importance of such activity in fulfilling the individual needs of society was discussed. The most important criteria for determining the level of quality of the services offered by the companies that deliver various types of parcels home and abroad were set forth. Moreover, opinions of some customers using the services of three courier companies operating in Poland, i.e. DPD, UPS and GLS, were provided.

W artykule omówiony został wpływ opinii konsumenckich na działalność przedsiębiorstw z branży kurierskiej. Analiza opinii konsumenckich jest obszarem badań, który może mieć znaczący wpływ na rozwój ich działalności. Jest też narzędziem, które może dostarczyć istotnych informacji mających wpływ na wizerunek firmy oraz jakość świadczonych usług kurierskich, co ma duże znaczenie dla firm działających na bardzo konkurencyjnym rynku. Narastająca liczba opinii dostępnych w sieci wytworzyła potrzebę ich automatycznej analizy i przetwarzania. Zagadnienie to zyskuje na popularności zarówno wśród badaczy, jak i wśród przedsiębiorców, dla których opinie konsumentów nie są bez znaczenia. Dzięki stale rosnącej potrzebie dostępu do opinii klientów, a co za tym idzie wiedzy i informacji, które można z nich czerpać, narzędzia umożliwiające automatyzację procesu pozyskiwania kluczowych i strategicznych z nich informacji zyskują na znaczeniu. Problem ten wymaga nieco innego spojrzenia na dane i doboru określonego sposobu ich analizowania za pomocą technik eksploracji danych, zwłaszcza tekstowych. Głównym celem artykułu jest przeprowadzenie analizy automatycznej klasyfikacji opinii z wykorzystaniem eksploracyjnych metod analizy tekstu. Wykorzystanie informacji pozyskanych z opinii klientów przyczynia się do podwyższenia jakości świadczonych usług kurierskich, zapewnia dostęp do odpowiednich informacji we właściwym czasie, przez co wpływa na trafność podejmowanych decyzji biznesowych oraz stanowi trend i nakreśla przyszłościowy kierunek działań firm kurierskich.
The article discussed was the effect of opinion mining on the activities of courier companies. The analysis of opinion mining is an area of research that can have a significant impact on the development of their business. It is also a tool that can provide important information affecting the company's image and quality of courier services, which is important for companies operating in a highly competitive market. Increasing the number of reviews available on the network has created the need for their automatic analysis and processing. This issue is gaining popularity among researchers and among entrepreneurs, for which consumer reviews are not insignificant. With the ever-growing need for access to customer opinion, and thus the knowledge and information that can derive from them, tools to automate the process of acquiring the key and strategic information they are gaining in importance. This problem requires a slightly different view of the data and the selection of a particular method of analysis using data mining techniques, especially text. The main aim of this article is to analyze automatic classification opinion using text mining. Use of information obtained from customer opinion helps to increase the quality of courier services, provides access to the right information at the right time, which affects the accuracy of business decisions and provides trend and outlines a future action line courier companies.

Opis:
The scientific objective of this issue is to estimate the number and the significance of variables defined for particular functions, describing the nature, scope and type of impacts on buildings located in mining areas in terms of the technical condition of civil structures and costs of their possible protection and repair or modernisation. This publication analyses a problem of risk response as separate stages of a risk management process in investment projects being carried out in construction industry in the areas with mining impact. Specified and diagnosed variables are analysed in a selected respect, with particular emphasis on the assessment of the ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state of the tested civil structures. The prognostic knowledge of the process of protecting or repairing buildings on an active subsoil, within the assumed time range of the design use of the civil structures and the predicted mining impacts, is essential in an analysis of the form and scope of responses of the structures to adverse impacts and when estimating the cost of building interaction with the subsoil through the entire life cycle of the structure. The subject matter is interdisciplinary, covering both subjects in the field of engineering, as well as stochastic processes, econometrics and reliability of output data predicting the operational impact of mines in analysed urban areas.
