Various kinds of morphological anomalies, i.e. general (the changes in the shape and the asymmetry of body, the duplication of body, the nanism, the gigantism and the gynandromorphism), and local (oligomely, atrophy, polimely, heterosymely, symely, schistomely, ectomely, heteromorphose, disturbances in the structure of leg segments, cyclopy) occur in Ixodida The anomalies within taxonomically important structures make the determination of tick species difficult or even impossible. Therefore, the anomalies deforming systematic features of different instars from Argasidae and Ixodidae families were first of all taken into account.

Opis:
Non-parasitic phase of ticks is the most critical period of their life cycle. During of host period the ticks must maintain the water homeostasis and must find a host for feeding. Body water homeostasis is one of the most important processes that influences tick survival in nature and transmission of pathogens. Structure of intergument, particularly the waxy lipids in the epicuticle, and structure of peritremes restrict the loss of water from tick body. The water lossesmay be compensated by uptake of water vapour from the atmosphere. The critical equilibrium humidity of tick species of Ixodidae family range from 70 to 96% r.h. During non-feeding period, behaviour of ticks contributes to the maintenance of body water. The ticks aviod the microhabitats where loss of water may be accelerated.

Fecundity and reproductive activity of 179 females of Argas (A.) reflexus in laboratory conditions, i.e. at temperature 23 ± 1°C and 75% of relative humidity were observed. Under these conditions reproduction activity of females fed in spring lasted since March till August. However, most of females (63.0-91.8%) laid eggs in June and July. Disturbances in egg-laying process of Argas (A.) reflexus females fed in abnormal time, i.e., in autumn and kept in laboratory conditions, were stated. These females were active since December till July (maximum activity was observed in February-34.3% and March-40.0%). Preoviposition and oviposition periods were observed in this study, too.

Opis:
The legal process involved in domestic mergers has been considered. European Union regulations were investigated, as well as their direct transposition into Polish legislation. The process itself always consists of managerial, ownership and registration phases. Nevertheless, these phases are not homogeneous and may take different courses depending on the provisions prescribed by the regulations. Several methods of measuring the time to complete mergers have been presented. In the empirical part of the article, the definition of the private time to completion has been adopted which assumes that that the procedure starts by drafting the terms of the merger and ends with the registration of the merger. The influence of different provisions on this measure has been analyzed for the case of Polish domestic mergers. Moreover, statistical reasoning has been conducted for this market showing that several recent legal amendments have shortened the legal procedure involved in consolidation. Finally, some conclusions and suggestions for future research have been presented in the paper.

Wśród elementów koncepcji wielorozdzielczej/wieloreprezentacyjnej bazy danych topograficznych (WBDT) związanych z koniecznością harmonizacji baz źródłowych, opracowania technik współistnienia, wymiany, eksploatacji czy aspektów prawnych, należy przewidzieć również wypracowanie modelu niezmienników, który zapewniałby spójność geometrii obiektów bazy. Takie podejście ma kluczowe znaczenie w procesie generalizacji obiektów, wiązania geometrii pierwotnej i wtórnej obiektów bazy, pozwala na fragmentaryczną wymianę czy aktualizację danych. Obiekt bazy posiada geometrię pierwotną (nieprzekształconą) możliwie najdokładniejszą oraz jedną szczegółową informację opisową. Obiekt bazy może przybierać różne wersje (geometrie wtórne) powstałe na skutek generalizacji i/lub redakcji. Koncepcja WBDT powinna zakładać występowanie określonych poziomów uogólnienia obiektów pierwotnych bazy na różnych fragmentach obszarowych oraz występowanie obiektów pierwotnych i wtórnych na tym samym obszarze. W swoim założeniu WBDT jest bazą niejednorodną, dlatego dobra informacja o danych i właściwe zarządzanie bazą są konieczne w celu uniknięcia nieporozumień.
Among the various elements of the Multi-Resolution/Representation- Database (MRDB) that relate to the synchronization of database sources, the objects' correlation techniques, the data exchange and usage, as well as to the legal aspects, one ought to allow for the creation of invariable object features which would make for the cohesion of the database objects. Such an approach is essential in the processes of object generalization and bonding of the original and derivative geometry. Additionally, it allows partial data exchange and object updates. An object in the MRDB database has an original (not yet distorted) geometry which is most accurate and a detailed description. Moreover, the same object can have multiple versions (derivative geometries) created upon its' generalizations and/or editing. The MRDB-type database concept should, therefore, be based on the premise of several given object generalization levels of different special areas as well as on the existence of original and derivate objects in the same area. By definition, MRDB is a heterogeneous database which is why a thorough data information and proper database management is essential in order to avoid possible confusion.

The most cases of abnormal hatch larvae (40.2%) of A. reflexus were in relative humidity 90% and temperature 25°C; the least (0-2.8%) - at the low relative humidity levels (10 and 30%) in all examined temperatures of experiments. The rise of relative humidity caused the greater number of the disturbances of hatch larvae. The most often inseparation of intergument eggs from body of larvae was observed, what made impossible normal formation of legs and made difficult locomotive faculty.
