The article discusses the connection between art and emotion in Fichte’s work and its contemporary reception by the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel. For the latter, not only selected architectural theoretical studies but also Schinkel’s ideal architectural designs are consulted. Schinkel knew Fichte personally and held him in high esteem. This is evidenced by some of Schinkel’s verbatim references to various forms of the Wissenschaftslehre and its sub-disciplines, as well as his extremely precise transcripts of lectures around the Berlin versions of the Wissenschaftslehre (around 1800). Schinkel was not only interested in the political and religious implications of Fichte’s theory of a cultural history of humankind, but his engagement with Fichte is also characterized above all by the theory of consciousness. This aspect plays a central role in the article. In recourse to the aesthetic emotion of the mind, a main concern of Fichte’s philosophy is to be placed in the horizon of architecture, which manifests itself in these questions: how does one convey a realisation in such a way that the recipient reconstructs it almost independently and it becomes a practical value for him as a criterion for his orientation in life? And furthermore – related to the research discourse on Fichte, which has only recently taken note of his aesthetic position and in particular his comments on architecture – how can this model of cognition be applied in his work from an architect’s point of view? In the investigation part on Fichte for this, first the feeling is reconstructed within the framework of the scientific-systematic philosophy as the reason of consciousness, in order to show with it the instance of the question relevant for Schinkel about the pedagogical effectiveness of a life-practical cultivating architecture. In the examination section on Schinkel, it is shown how Schinkel, in the horizon of Fichte, undertakes a determination of the relationship between feeling and ratio, with which he, for his part, establishes architecture as an instrument of cultivation.

Der Essay gilt in der Literaturkritik eher als eine Männerdomäne. In der Forschung verweist man aber immer häufiger auf die Andersartigkeit des weiblichen Essays und dessen Abweichung vom Gattungsmuster. Diese Probleme treffen auch auf Erika Manns Schreiben zu. Auch in ihrem Schaffen lassen sich essayistische Merkmale erkennen: die Autorin scheint von anderen publizistischen Formen auszugehen, um schließlich den Essay – im Sinne des Prinzips der gattungsbezogenen Offenheit – anzustreben. Zum Gegenstand der Analyse wurde ein Text gewählt, der E. Manns politisches Engagement offenbart und auf ihre Sensibilität für gesellschaftliche Fragen hindeutet.
The essay has been thought to be dominated by men. Nowadays, efforts have been made to analyze female essay writing and its differences from the standard model. Erika Mann’s works bear marks of essay writing; the author seems to draw on other forms of journalistic writing in order to eventually reach the form in question with the openness of the genre. The focus of the following article is one of Mann’s unpublished works that proves her involvement in politics and her understanding of contemporary social issues.

The Petra Garden and Pool Complex in the ancient city center has been dated based on stratigraphy and an array of diagnostic finds. The present study of the coarse wares from selected contexts at the site (augmented by amphorae and fine wares) aims to show corroborative evidence from the ceramic assemblage to support the dating of three major phases in the history of the complex: the construction of the monumental Nabataean garden and pool complex in the end of the 1st century BCE, the Roman renovations in the early 2nd century CE and, last but not least, the second destruction that ended the occupation of the complex, most probably at the end of the 6th century CE. The overall purpose of this paper is to contribute to the knowledge of Petra coarse-ware pottery from the Nabataean and Roman periods.

The aim of this paper is to shed some light on the period of Petra’s passage from paganism to Christianity, which saw the deterioration of pagan beliefs and the struggle for survival between paganism and Christianity. The recognition of Christianity as the official religion of the Byzantine Empire in 313 AD did not mean that paganism had disappeared from Petra. In fact, most of the Nabataean temples in the city remained open until the second half of the 4th century AD, when the city was hit by the earthquake of 363. It was this event that had the greatest impact on the abandoning of the city’s temples, such as the Temple of the Winged Lions, the Temple of Qasr el-Bent and the Great Temple. The historical and archaeological evidence confirms the construction of a numer of churches in Petra, which received considerable attention from the Christian clergy and the administration of the city during the 5th and 6th centuries AD.

Opis:
The remains of a Nabataean private complex located west of the Roman-period apsidal building in the Qasr al-Bint area of Petra, excavated by the French archaeological team between 2005 and 2008, turned out to be reused by squatters during the Roman period. This occupation phase, one of the latest in this complex, was of a domestic nature, characterized by the installation of ovens (tawabeen) and other fireplaces, as well as the installation of a channel in the courtyard. The large assemblage of well preserved, often complete pottery vessels from the corresponding levels was dated by coins and Nabataean pottery, supported by radiocarbon datings, to the second half of the 2nd and the early 3rd century CE. Consequently, the group offers the opportunity to study a homogeneous corpus of ceramic material from a period that is not at all well documented in Petra. The repertoire includes all kinds of vessels, especially cooking pots, small storage jars and drinking vessels. In addition, a set of multi-nozzled lamps was associated with this group.

Architektura nabatejska od setek lat budzi zachwyt i przyciąga turystów z całego świata. Skalne grobowce i kamienne świątynie Petry, a także wiele innych miejsc na terenie południowej Jordanii, gdzie znajdują się budowle z okresu funkcjonowania na tym terenie państwa nabatejskiego, nieustannie poddawanych jest niesprzyjającemu działaniu warunków atmosferycznych. Także działalność człowieka często powoduje powstawanie zagrożeń dla bezcennych obiektów. Od wielu lat władze Jordanii wraz z międzynarodowym gronem badaczy i konserwatorów próbują przeciwdziałać postępującym procesom naturalnym i wywoływanym przez człowieka. Paleta zagrożeń i niekorzystnych dla tego typu architektury czynników jest tak szeroka, że wymaga nie tylko sporych nakładów finansowych, ale także szeroko zakrojonych badań i analiz fachowców różnych specjalności.
For hundreds of years Nabataean architecture has aroused admiration and attracted tourists from all over the world. Rock tombs and stone temples in Petra, as well as many other sites in the lands of southern Jordan with buildings dating back to the times when the Nabataean state existed here, are constantly exposed to unfavourable weather conditions. Also human activity frequently poses threats to the invaluable objects. For many years, the Jordan government with the international group of scientists and conservators have been trying to counteract the ongoing processes of natural degradation, as well as those caused by man. The range of threats and factors detrimental for that type of architecture is so wide that it requires not only considerable financial outlays, but also large-scale research and analyses carried out by various specialists.

The new managerial conceptions are based on the process approach, but only a few enterprises is trying to use the management innovation and related process innovation. The process of inventions creation phase is represented by processes connected with impulses capture, recording, evidence and transformation, with which have small and medium sized enterprises bigger or smaller problems. Therefore is not needed to forget that their attention should be centred on the primary phase of the innovation process. These enterprises could have better possibilities to use their innovation potential on the creation of new inventions and so gain higher possibilities on more successful innovation implementation. The research published in this article was realised for the purpose the process of inventions creation system dynamics monitoring in form of the causal model proposal for small and medium sized enterprises.
Podstawą nowoczesnych koncepcji menedżerskich jest podejście procesowe. Jednakże mało firm wykorzystuje innowacje zarządcze oraz innowacje procesowe, które są związane z podejściem procesowym. Fazę powstania nowych inwencji, z którą największy problem ma sektor MSP reprezentują procesy związane z wyłapywaniem ewidencją oraz transformacją innowacyjnych impulsów. W związku z tym uwagę należy skupiać już na pierwszej fazie procesu powstania nowych inwencji w celu zwiększenia wykorzystania potencjału innowacyjnego, co w konsekwencji prowadzi do sukcesu innowacji. Celem badania przedstawionego w niniejszym artykule było zaprezentowanie monitoringu procesu dynamiki powstawania inwencji w formie projektu modelu przyczynowo-skutkowego dla sektora MSP.

Reclaiming Adolescent Sexuality: Images of Girlhood in Petra Collins’s BabeThis paper examines photographs, drawings, collages and other art forms collected in the book Babe, edited by photographer Petra Collins and published by Prestel in 2015. I read the collected artwork as an attempt to present the image of the girl (including her sexuality) from a young woman’s perspective. Babe, which includes works such as photographs of teenagers with visible period blood on the underwear or a to-do list with the goal of never faking another orgasm, asks who a contemporary girl is and how young artists can challenge traditional images of femininity. In my analysis I focus on the excessive use of the color pink in Babe, characterizing the way artists blend innocence with eroticism. I argue that by playing with artifacts of “girlishness,” artists can both expose the absurdity of the image of the girl in popular culture and reclaim symbols of girlhood. I suggest that Collins – despite her ambitions to create an inclusive platform for female artists – does not present a diverse image of girls, who in Babe is still predominantly white and able-bodied. I introduce the potential reading of Babe as a feminist visual manifesto, in reference to the Riot Grrrl movement and the cultural phenomenon of “girl power.” I suggest that the book offers a possibility of exploring the figure of the girl from the perspective of young female artists. Odzyskując młodzieńczą seksualność: wizerunki dziewczyńskości w „Babe” Petry CollinsArtykuł jest analizą fotografii, rysunków, kolaży i innych prac zebranych przez fotografkę Petrę Collins w albumie „Babe", wydanym w 2015 roku przez Prestel. W artykule odczytuję zebrane prace jako szansę zaprezentowania wizerunku dziewczyny (w tym jej seksualności) z perspektywy młodej kobiety. Babe – w której znajdują się zarówno fotografie nastolatek z widoczną krwią menstruacyjną na bieliźnie, jak i zdjęcie listy zadań, na której artystka umieszcza postanowienie, by nigdy więcej nie udawać orgazmu – zadaje pytanie kim dzisiaj jest dziewczyna i w jaki sposób młode artystki mogą kwestionować utarte obrazy kobiecości. Podczas analizy skupiam się na przewadze różu w warstwie wizualnej albumu, ukazując sposób, w jaki artystki łączą pozorną niewinność z erotyzmem. Twierdzę, że poprzez grę z konwencjami „dziewczyńskości” autorki prac mogą zarówno eksponować sztuczność wizerunku młodej kobiety w kulturze popularnej, jak i odzyskiwać symbole dziewczęcości. Sugeruję, że Collins – mimo próby stworzenia inkluzywnej platformy dla artystek – nie oferuje zróżnicowanego obrazu dziewczyny, która w Babe wciąż jest przeważnie biała i pełnosprawna. W odczytaniu Babe jako feministycznego wizualnego manifestu odwołuję się do ruchu Riot Grrrl i fenomenu kulturowego reprezentowanego przez hasło „girl power”. Sugeruję, że album oferuje zgłębienie postaci dziewczyny z punktu widzenia młodych artystek.

This research project focuses on the presentation of sexuality in children before they enter the school system. The study provides theoretical basis of sexuality and sex education. Included in the research project are the result of the on site study with parents and children of the preschool and kindergarden age and also the teachers working with this target group. Results not only describe sexual presentation of the children but also the reactions of others to those presentations.
