Opis:: Introduction/background: In the constantly changing economic and social environment, the management of a company aiming at staying competitive on the market becomes a challenge. Constant development and adjustment to the changeable conditions require flexible and pro-innovative organizational culture in a company. There is still a relative paucity of up-to-date knowledge about the relationship between the innovative organizational culture in large Polish companies and their development and profitability. Aims of the paper: The purpose of this paper is to identify the relationship between pro-innovative organizational culture in large Polish companies and their development and profitability. Several indicators of the above mentioned phenomena have been chosen and investigated in terms of interdependencies. Material and methods: The research was conducted with the use of the survey method and the tool of questionnaire distributed with the CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview) and CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interview) technique. The research is of quantitative nature. The research is part of the scientific project conducted in 2019 on 179 largest by revenue companies in Poland. Results and conclusion: Several interesting relationships between the indicators of pro-innovative culture and the indicators of development and profitability have been observed. Pro-innovative aspects of organizational culture in large Polish organizations facilitate their flexibility and development as well as support their profitability. It is especially evident in the present pandemic situation, where flexibility and innovativeness of companies becomes one of their most important quality.

Opis:: Purpose: The aim of the paper is to analyze the innovations in Industry 4.0 conditions. Design/methodology/approach: Critical literature analysis. Analysis of international literature from main databases and polish literature and legal acts connecting with researched topic. Findings: The publication concentrate on problems connected with various aspects of relations between Industry 4.0 and innovativeness. In the paper we presented the main presumptions of Industry 4.0 concept and it’s nowadays usage. In the second part of the paper there is an analysis of main trends of today Industry 4.0 implementation approaches and innovativeness. Especially there is an description of main innovative trends of 2021 described from Industry 4.0 relations point of view. Also the paper deals with the social innovation aspect of Industry 4.0. There are very interesting and innovative concepts that can be used in today business environment and also governments. Some of them like universal basic income are a bit controversial but it needs to further more detailed analysis if it is possible and could benefit to the society. Other trends can be for example: new forms of employment or new types of organizational culture. Originality/value: Detailed analysis of all subjects related to the problems connected with the innovations in Industry 4.0 conditions.

Opis:: The rapid explosion in technology is unpredictable and very drastic such that it has conquered every aspect and areas of human life. There is such areas where technology has not yet reached. Education being an area that has direct impact on the society is nowhere an exception. Hence, as a teacher or teacher educator one has to update his knowledge and skills in using technology, especially ICT, as the classrooms are being dominated by smart classrooms. They now have to learn how to cope with these technological advancements and innovative approaches in their classrooms Uses of technology in the professional development and capacity building of teachers may be defined in two folds; that is technology for professional development and professional development for efficient use of technology in teaching learning process. When technology develops in a very drastic speed, it is the duty of the teacher to update himself on various areas of ICT that can be used in the classroom transaction. Various online programs and online learning are being introduced that can be used by teachers in the classroom. Hence, the teacher has to update his knowledge and skills through various professional development programmes. The administration of schools has to provide such platform to teachers to undergo such training to cope up with current development and changes in technology. Technology can be used not only as an information management tool, but also as a means of reaching students of diverse backgrounds in a way professionally sound (Torres, 2006). Hence, technology can be seen having implications for classroom learning as well as in reaching students of the disadvantaged group provided the availability of technology in their areas. The use of technology can assess the quality of their papers or articles using technology. It helps to identify aspects such as the number of times cited, plagiarism etc. These educational software has been introduced in order to maximize quality of all papers being published. In the present paper, we have discussed the linkage of technology with special focus on ICT and Professional development of teachers. Focus of this paper is on and around E- Resources, Integration of Advanced Technology in Teacher Training, citations index, and impact of research publication in the public domain.

Opis:: The role of intellectual organizations in the formation of professional competence, social adaptability and volitional qualities of workers of marine industry is actual in terms of growth of natural and man-made emergency situations, unstable socio-economic environment. In the marine industry, except for the education system and research, such organizations have prospects of development as the most competitive in the shipbuilding, fishing industry, port management, the logistics of fishing in the ocean and coastal fisheries, transport and storage prior to further processing. In this article is proposed a holistic resource approach to the formation of intellectual organization as a major maritime educational complex that integrates all stages of maritime specialist training, from a seaman to a master of a large ship including active research and intense maritime practice.

Opis:: Aims of this paper are: (1) to characterize open and networked innovation idea for an innovative company, (2) to present knowledge management (KM) and synergic effects of intellectual capital (IC) development of the innovative company in open and networked innovations. Open and networked innovation links KM activities of innovative firms that collaborate and compete among themselves during execution of innovation processes within networks. Interorganizational KM and learning by the innovative company with partners (suppliers and consumers of knowledge, innovations) in open and networked innovations influence on synergic effects of its IC development. The paper also presents the results of questionnaire research on synergic effects of IC development by innovative companies in open and networked innovation.
Celami artykułu są: (1) scharakteryzowanie dla przedsiębiorstwa innowacyjnego koncepcji otwartej oraz sieciowej innowacji, (2) przedstawienie zarządzania wiedzą (ZW) oraz efektów synergicznych rozwoju kapitału intelektualnego (KI) przedsiębiorstwa innowacyjnego w otwartych i sieciowych innowacjach. Otwarta oraz sieciowa innowacja łączy czynności ZW innowacyjnych firm, które współpracą oraz konkurują ze sobą w trakcie realizacji procesów innowacji w obszarze sieci. Międzyorganizacyjne ZW oraz uczenie się innowacyjnego przedsiębiorstwa z partnerami (dostawcami i klientami wiedzy) w otwartych i sieciowych innowacjach wpływa na efekty synergiczne rozwoju jego KI. Artykuł przedstawia również wyniki badań ankietowych na temat efektów synergicznych rozwoju KI przedsiębiorstwa innowacyjnego w otwartej i sieciowej innowacji.

Opis:: Sustainable development considers the development that achieves the present economic goals, without obstructing the future development in a sense of satisfying the needs of society and endangering the environment. Recently, the entrepreneurship phenomenon has been widely recognized as an important path towards sustainable development, positively contributing to the development of society. Thus, in the paper, the empirical evidence on linkages between entrepreneurial activity indicators and social development goals is provided. To examine the linkages, the data from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor and Sustainable Development Goals Index were used. The empirical results suggest that entrepreneurship represents an important factor for fostering sustainability, particularly in opportunity-driven and innovative entrepreneurial activities. The results show, that both of them have a positive impact on sustainable development, while the necessity-driven entrepreneurial activity negatively affects sustainable development. This could be explained by the fact that necessity entrepreneurs are not likely to become the entrepreneurs to implement a promising business opportunity, but rather to earn an income. To achieve the sustainable development goals as well as entrepreneurship should become the national priority by introducing new policies and measures, that is, making the conditions, through which entrepreneurship could achieve positive contributions to the development of the society.
Zrównoważony rozwój to taki, który osiąga obecne cele gospodarcze, nie utrudniając przyszłego rozwoju w sensie zaspokajania potrzeb społeczeństwa i narażania środowiska. Ostatnio zjawiska przedsiębiorczości zostały powszechnie uznane za ważną ścieżkę do zrównoważonego rozwoju, która pozytywnie przyczynia się do rozwoju społeczeństwa. Dlatego w artykule przedstawiono empiryczne dowody na powiązania między wskaźnikami aktywności przedsiębiorczej a celami rozwoju społecznego. Do zbadania powiązań wykorzystano dane z Globalnego Monitora Przedsiębiorczości i Indeksu Celów Zrównoważonego Rozwoju. Wyniki empiryczne sugerują, że przedsiębiorczość stanowi ważny czynnik wspierający zrównoważony rozwój, szczególnie w przypadku działań zorientowanych na możliwości i innowacyjnych działań przedsiębiorczych. Wyniki pokazują, że oba te czynniki mają pozytywny wpływ na zrównoważony rozwój, a przedsiębiorczość zorientowana na konieczność negatywnie wpływa na zrównoważony rozwój. Można to wyjaśnić faktem, że przedsiębiorcy zorientowani na konieczność prawdopodobnie nie podążą w kierunku realizacji obiecujących nowych możliwości biznesowych, ale raczej w celu uzyskania dochodu. Aby osiągnąć cele zrównoważonego rozwoju, jak również przedsiębiorczość, powinny się one stać priorytetem krajowym poprzez wprowadzenie nowych polityk i środków, co oznacza stworzenie warunków, dzięki którym przedsiębiorczość mogłaby osiągnąć pozytywny wkład w rozwój społeczeństwa.

Opis:: The scientific research is based on a retrospective analysis combined with a logical and systematic analysis of the philosophical and pedagogical achievements of innovative teachers from Ukraine and abroad. The author formulates the existing contradictions of theoretical and methodological, organizational and pedagogical, methodological and practical approaches to this problem. The main competencies (pedagogical knowledge, sectoral expertise, innovation and reflection of practice) in the European and Ukrainian dimensions are revealed and the mechanism of their retranslation is presented.
Badania naukowe opierają się na analizie retrospektywnej połączonej z logiczną i systematyczną analizą filozoficznych i pedagogicznych osiągnięć innowacyjnych nauczycieli z Ukrainy i zagranicy. Autor formułuje istniejące sprzeczności teoretycznych i metodologicznych, organizacyjnych i pedagogicznych, metodologicznych i praktycznych podejść do tego problemu. Ujawniono główne kompetencje (wiedza pedagogiczna, wiedza sektorowa, innowacyjność i refleksja nad praktyką) w wymiarze europejskim i ukraińskim oraz przedstawiono mechanizm ich retranslacji.

Opis:: Safety of navigation is especially challenging and critical when a ship approaches and manoeuvres in harbour areas. Improving the safety especially in the first and last phase of a voyage is crucial and requires measures addressing both the human and technical-technological elements including support systems that shall provide human operators with information relevant for decision making. The present situation is characterized by the introduction of numerous sophisticated technical and support systems often integrated with several components becoming increasingly complex. On the users end, changes are not that obvious and not that rapid as for technology. However, new approaches are under development or already in use. They are characterized by applying and adapting solutions from other transport modes. In this way, tasks and procedures on ships, that are highly safety-relevant and containing high portions of manoeuvring activities have been changed to high back-up procedures as in air planes. For port manoeuvres e.g. the system of pilot/co-pilot was introduced on ferries in a sense that one officer is operating and the other is monitoring and checking the safe performance. In cruise shipping, new structures replacing the traditional rank-based with a flexible system based on job functions. This system creates a kind of a safety net around the person conning the vessel. Each operation is cross checked before execution by one or two other persons. The first obvious consequence is higher costs due to doubling personnel. On the other hand there is also a need for a technology appropriately supporting the checking officer by enabling her or him to monitor what the conning officer is doing. “Fast-Time Manoeuvring Simulation Technology” (FTS) developed at the Institute for Innovative Ship Simulation and Maritime Systems (ISSIMS) has huge potential to fulfil this task. FTS calculates within one second of computing time up to 1000 seconds of real manoeuvring time by a very complex ship-dynamic simulation model for rudder, engine and thruster manoeuvres. It enables prompt prediction of all manoeuvres carried out by the conning officer for the observing officer, too. Predictions of path and motion status allow all officers to see whether the manoeuvring actions have at least the correct tendency or indicating the need for corrections. This new type of support is called Simulation-Augmented Manoeuvring Design and Monitoring (SAMMON) – it allows not only overlooking the next manoeuvring segment ahead but also for the following or even for series of manoeuvring segments. This technology has been used within two research projects: COSINUS (Co-operative Ship Operation in Integrated Maritime Traffic Systems) set out for implementing FTS into integrated ship bridges and to also communicate the manoeuvre plans and display it to VTS centres. Within the European project MUNIN (Maritime Unmanned Navigation through Intelligence in Networks) this technology has been used to investigate if it is possible to steer autonomous ships, in case it would be necessary.
