    Außer Zweifel steht, dass sich die modernen Lehrbücher zu verschiedenen Fächern von deren Vorläufern in vielerlei Hinsicht unterscheiden. Alessandra Zurolo nimmt in ihrer Untersuchung deutsche medizinische Lehrtexte aus verschiedenen Zeitstufen unter die Lupe und stellt ihre charakteristischen Merkmale auf verschiedenen Ebenen dar, um einerseits auf bestimmte Muster deren Gestaltung hinzuweisen und andererseits ihre geschichtliche Entwicklung zu verfolgen.
    Nie ulega wątpliwości, że współczesne podręczniki poświęcone różnym tematom i dziedzinom różnią się od swoich poprzedników pod wieloma względami. W swoim opracowaniu Alessandra Zurolo analizuje niemieckie teksty dydaktyczne z zakresu medycyny pochodzące z różnych epok i omawia ich charakterystyczne cechy na różnych poziomach, aby y jednej strony wskazać pewne wzorce w ich kompozycji, a z drugiej strony prześledzić ich historyczny rozwój.
    There is no doubt that modern textbooks on various subjects differ from their predecessors in many ways. In her study, Alessandra Zurolo analyzes German medical didactic texts from different periods and discusses their characteristic features on different levels to point out certain patterns of their design on the one hand and to track their historical development on the other hand.

    The article discusses problems for native speakers and foreigners when reading literary texts during Polish language classes. Two important books are presented here (K. Koziołek, 2006; A. Janus¬ Sitarz, 2009). It also refers to publications about the importance of literature in teaching and the role of the teacher (J. Kowalikowa 2004, B. Chrząstowska 1979, 2009). The author of the article also compares the theory of A. Janus¬ Sitarz (designed for teaching Polish as a mother tongue) with J. Spiro’s concept of 6 reading types (concerning the function of literary texts in teaching Polish as a foreign language). The author concentrates on the problem of responsible reading (as described by M.P. Markowski, 2000) and on teaching being understood as an invitation to a dialogue with text. K. Koziołek, A. Janus¬ Sitarz and C. Kramsch in glottodidactics recommend this kind of dialogic approach.

This paper sets out to report a classroom-based study which explored EFL learners’ reception of coursebook culture-focused texts. The data collected in the study was used to identify different dimensions of learners’ interest stimulated by the texts they read. The findings have some potential implications for taking an intercultural perspective in foreign language teaching.

    The article analyzes the methodological and pedagogical literature on the subject, describes means of implementing a text-centric approach to learning the Ukrainian language in specialized school. The author summarizes the essential characteristics of the concept of "text-centric approach", reveals ways of using text in Ukrainian language lessons in high school and chooses exercises and tasks, which provide efficiency of students' preparation for further education in modern universities. Under results of the study, we come to the conclusion that the implementation of text-centric approach will contribute to improving the generalization and systematization of students' knowledge and forming their speech abilities and skills, and systematic work with texts of different genre and stylistic identity, including professionally oriented, makes it possible to transfer knowledge to students about the chosen profession. Purpose – the study of pedagogical and methodological literature on the chosen problem, clarification of essential characteristics of the text-centered approach, definition of content and features of texts’ usage, in particular professionally oriented, in lessons of the Ukrainian language in specialized school. Methods. The study, analysis, and synthesis of pedagogical and methodical literature have been used to determine the essential characteristics of the concept of "text-centric approach" and to reveal the ways of using the text in Ukrainian language lessons in high school, theoretical comprehension and generalization of the experience of Ukrainian language teachers, and the analysis of textbooks in the Ukrainian language made it possible to formulate methodical recommendations for organization of work with texts. Results. Due to the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the text-centric approach in the Ukrainian language lessons in high school allows to optimize the generalization and systematization of students' knowledge of the Ukrainian language, the formation of speech skills, and systematic work with texts of different genre characteristics, in particular professionally oriented, will enable to transfer knowledge to students about the chosen profession.

    The authors of this article concentrate on the use and role of fairy tales in foreign language teaching to primary school children. They discuss these notions on the basis of scholarly literature and questionnaire responses of 2nd- and 3rd-year students of pedagogy and language studies at Wielkopolska University of Social and Economic Studies in Środa Wielkopolska. Apart from pointing to the necessity of introducing fairy tales in education, particularly foreign language education, they identify and describe in their account a number of tools which can be helpful for the presentation and discussion of content from fairy tales in a foreign language class at the primary school level. They also enumerate a number of effects which children’s work with fairy tales brings and in the end they draw conclusions with regard to the subject in question.

    Język polski jako odziedziczony (na obczyźnie) i ojczysty (w Polsce) to dwa różne przedmioty, które wymagają inaczej ukierunkowanych działań dydaktycznych, w tym – w przypadku pierwszego – przesunięcia punktu ciężkości z kształcenia historyczno-literackiego na językowe. W artykule przedstawiamy metodę skorelowaną, czyli dydaktykę języka przez literaturę oraz literatury przez język. Jej istotą jest zintegrowane nauczanie części systemu językowego oraz sprawności. Jest bardzo przydatna w nauczaniu języka odziedziczonego. Pozwala ona na wielokrotny i zróżnicowany kontakt z treściami kształcenia, co wydatnie wspomaga proces zapamiętywania i internalizacji nauczanych zagadnień. Jest też bardziej ergonomiczna, co, przy ograniczonej liczbie godzin zajęć w szkołach polskich poza Polską, jest jej mocnym atutem.
    The heritage language and the mother tongue as school subjects are not the same. Therefore, they require a different approach; namely, in the case of teaching the heritage language, it is necessary to focus more on the language itself than on the historical and literary education of pupils. In the paper, we recommend to teachers Polish as a heritage language the correlated method based on teaching language through literature and literature through language. In this method, learners thoroughly develop their skills and competencies using an integrated approach. Moreover, they have multiple and varied contacts with the literary and educational variety of Polish.

    In this article I present the potential of media sport texts in terms of their utilisation in Polish as a foreign language classes. I discuss various definitions of text to indicate that it can constitute not only a linguistic concept but can also carry a communal element, a state of one’s spirit if you will. Next, I indicate the role of media texts in foreign language teaching. Further, I discuss the role of culture, popular culture in particular, in foreign language teaching. I also reference studies which have indicated the differences in how the same media genres are constructed in various linguistic contexts. My original proposal applies to sport texts, be they broadcast on the radio, television, or the internet. I indicate their potential in foreign language teaching and specific areas in which they may be applied. I conclude by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of utilising sport-themed media texts in Polish as a foreign language classes.
    W artykule zaprezentowano potencjał medialnych tekstów sportowych w zakresie ich wykorzystania na zajęciach z języka polskiego jako obcego. Autor zaprezentował różne definicje tekstu, aby wykazać, że może być to nie tylko pojęcie językoznawcze, ale również pewien element wspólnotowy, stan ducha. Następnie wskazano na rolę tekstów medialnych w glottodydaktyce. W kolejnej części autor odniósł się do roli kultury, zwłaszcza kultury popularnej w nauczaniu języków obcych. Odwołano się także do badań pokazujących różnice w sposobie konstruowania tych samych gatunków medialnych w zależności od obszaru językowego. Autorska propozycja dotyczy tekstów sportowych: radiowych, telewizyjnych i internetowych. Wskazano ich potencjał glottodydaktyczny, pokazano konkretne obszary, w jakich mogą mieć zastosowanie. W konkluzji autor zaprezentował wady i zalety wykorzystania medialnych tekstów o tematyce sportowej na zajęciach z języka polskiego jako obcego.

    The paper deals with professionalisation of teacher training with a focus on future mother-tongue teachers, i.e. teachers of the Czech language and literature, with a view to the new National Curriculum and its sections, namely the subject group Language and Linguistic Communication. The authors also stress comprehensiveness and inseparability of language teaching and language education and point to the communicative approach based on the dialogic nature of effective teaching communication. The interconnection of teacher – content of education – pupil is seen through the naturalness of speech contact, respecting the aim of mother-tongue teaching defined as cultivation of the linguistic code in pupils with a teacher characterized as a model for speech.

This process becomes more difficult in execution when it concerns the text of the culture former: requires a substantial range of expertise, fetched multiple contexts and a variety of practical skills, which will show the specificity of the visual text. The article mentions the difficulties that may occur when it receives the painting of the Hans Memling Last Judgement at the level of analysis of the sense deep religious language. The text shows the changes in the Polish education and culture, which have a large impact on the attitudes of the youth.
