    Research background: The value of clusters in developing advanced technology products and services as well as promoting regional growth is acknowledged by many policymakers and researchers (Lee et al., 2012). Hence, clusters are identified as enablers of the circular economy and resource efficiency in this study. Companies aim to enhance competencies and create competitive advantages in global competition and this can be achieved through pulling from a common and accessible pool of resources, information and demand for innovation which means that companies can profit from belonging to a cluster. Purpose of the article: The main aim of the article is to overview the scientific literature that addresses the circular economy, identify clusters and their role in the circular economy and suggest how small and medium enterprises could engage in a circular economy through clusters' performance development. Methods: Bibliometric literature analysis enables identifying the latest trends in scientific articles regarding a circular economy and clusters. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) allows for composing the scheme of the cluster?s competitive advantage within circular economy. Findings & Value added: The findings suggest that resource efficiency is considered to be one of the most important ambitions and clusters can work as enablers of a circular economy for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), gaining a competitive advantage at the same time. Clusters can encourage and provide conditions in which SMEs would turn to a circular economy. The scheme of Cluster's competitive advantage proposed by the author can help cluster's coordinators, policymakers and all the concerned parties to verify the importance of clusters' involvement in the circular economy.

    The article reveals the essence of environmental responsibility as a socio-economic and moral-legal category. It has been proved that environmental responsibility is defined not only by legal restrictions and punishment of those subjects that use natural resources in the process of economic activities often causing damage to the environment and the level of environmental awareness of all citizens, whose activities should be focused on sustainable use of natural resources. In the work, features of sustainable development has also been outlined, environmental risks in Ukraine have been analyzed and the author's understanding of the meaning of environmental responsibility and role of managers ensuring the sustainable development of Ukraine and its big industrial regions of the Kryvyi Rih iron ore basin has been presented.

    This paper proposes a fresh look at ecotourism within the framework of sustainable development. The author discusses selected issues involved in the sphere of ecotourism and proposes new ways to improve its current practice in Russia. Answers to questions of the nature, significance, and consequences of ecotourism, the relationship between sustainable development and ecotourism, and the problems of sustainable use of wildlife have been given. The comparative study of practical experience in facilitating ecotourism initiatives overseas has allowed the author to argue their conclusions and recommend a specific scientific approach to the sustainable use of wildlife in Russia.
    W artykule zaproponowano nowe spojrzenie na ekoturystykę w kontekście zrównoważonego rozwoju. Autorka omawia wybrane zagadnienia z zakresu ekoturystyki i proponuje nowe sposoby doskonalenia jej dotychczasowych praktyk w Rosji. Przedstawiono propozycje odpowiedzi na pytania dotyczące natury, znaczenia i konsekwencji ekoturystyki, relacji między zrównoważonym rozwojem a ekoturystyką oraz problemów zrównoważonego użytkowania dzikiej przyrody. Analiza porównawcza praktycznych doświadczeń zagranicznych inicjatyw ekoturystycznych pozwoliła autorce zaproponować nowe naukowe podejście do zrównoważonego użytkowania dzikiej przyrody w Rosji.

    W niniejszej pracy zaprezentowano i omówiono archetyp systemowy tragedii współużytkowania. Przedstawiono następnie model dynamiki systemu dotkniętego takim problemem i zaproponowano sposób jego rozwiązania.
    The thesis raises the issue of the tragedy of the commons environmental resources. The problem was considered using a system dynamics approach. The article discusses the archetype of the Tragedy of the Commons, which initiated a deeper analysis of the problem using dynamic models. Performed simulations allowed the system to point out causes of overexploitation of the resource, which leads to its exhaustion. The study presents and discusses model of sustainable resource management. This model includes the new rules in its structure, which guarantee respect for the resource limitations of the system.

    Celem tej pracy jest pokazanie, w szerokim kontekście, problematyki zasobów w aspekcie zrównoważonego rozwoju gospodarki i społeczeństwa Polski i Unii Europejskiej. Zwrócono uwagę na potrzebę opracowania, zróżnicowanej dla 12 krajów rozwijających się, w tym Polski, a także 15 krajów wysoko rozwiniętych, średnio- i długookresowej strategii związanej z przekształceniem całej Unii Europejskiej 27 krajów w obszar wysoko rozwinięty gospodarczo. Omówiono znaczenie podejścia zasobowego w analizie i ocenie zmian bogactwa społecznego w obecnych warunkach globalizacji gospodarki światowej. Scharakteryzowano pojęcie i podział zasobów, w tym materialnych i niematerialnych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zasobów kapitału społecznego. Przedstawiono prakseologiczne ujęcie zasobów, będące metodologiczną podstawą koncepcji wielofunkcyjnego rozwoju, a także aspekty metodyczne proponowanego przez autora rachunku zasobowego ważnego w analizie i ocenie ekonomicznej zasobów w przestrzennych systemach społeczno-gospodarczych na różnych poziomach organizacji.
    The study was aimed at indicating, in a broad context, the problem of resources in view of sustainable economic and social development in Poland and in the European Union. Medium and long term diversified strategy for the transformation of the whole European Union into highly developed area should be elaborated with the distinction of 12 developing countries (including Poland) and 15 developed countries. The importance of resource approach was underlined in the analyses and evaluations of social wealth under current global economy. The term and division of resources (including material and immaterial ones) were characterised with particular reference to social capital resources. Praxeological perspectives of resources as a methodological basis for multifunctional development concept were presented. Resource balance proposed by author is important in the analyses and economic assessment of resources in spatial socio-economic systems at various levels of organization. Its methodical aspects are also presented in the paper.
