Father Stanisław Wilczewski Ph.D. became famous as a splendid speech therapist, working theoretically and practically for the sake of the culture of the living word and as an esteemed preacher. This paper aims at presentation of his activities that give testimony to his attention to the quality of the preached words and preaching in general. Wilczewski taught future priests a hygiene of voice, which should be communicative with an internal involvement and the experience of the preaching the Word of God and the preaching action. He was one of the most outstanding preachers in the history of the diocese of Katowice.

The author presents some reflections on the issue of training carried out among speech therapists in Poland taking into account one of the disorders, namely peripheral dyslalia. In the following sections of the paper, the writer depicts a catalogue of problems which, according to the author, should be found in the training scheme. At the same time, the author deals with the specifics of the method of formalising the disorders in the area of phoneme realization in speech therapy composed with phoniatrics. She indicates the original character of the area of study and of the practical activity in speech therapy.
Autorka przedstawia rozważania dotyczące kształcenia logopedów w Polsce, biorąc pod uwagę jedno z zaburzeń, a mianowicie dyslalię obwodową. W poszczególnych częściach opracowania prezentuje katalog zagadnień, które powinny znaleźć się – zdaniem autorki – w programach kształcenia. Jednocześnie podejmuje rozważania ukazujące specyfikę ujęcia zaburzeń realizacji fonemów w logopedii w porównaniu z foniatrią. Wskazuje też na oryginalny przedmiot badań i działalności praktycznej w logopedii.

The article points out that the problem of the main binary relation in speech-language therapist (therapist-patient) and the interrelated relationship (speech-language therapist-patient-family/carer) should be addressed with respect to dialogue personalization, respecting the autonomy of each participant in speech-language therapy as well as the specificity of the primary group (family) and secondary (organizational, contractual). The sequence of appropriate interactions, that is, the interactions of the main actors of the diagnostic and therapeutic process, can transform into a lasting relationship and thereby influence the progress in speech-language therapy and the quality of the patient's life, if personal contacts and language announcements are reciprocated with kindness, respect and willingness partner collaboration.

The article is an attempt to look at a few selected volumes for a child’s addressee, which allows to indicate the aspects of evaluation to the buyers of such editions, and to the publishers to forecast the accuracy of composing such publications. The editorial reading was based on volumes of poems by Jerzy Ficowski, Elżbieta and Witold Szwajkowski, Marcin Brykczyński and Agnieszka Frączek in the context of speech therapy exercises. This editorial reading, also colloquially understood as “reading activity”, focused on the following phenomena: – bold, – italics, – highlighting with colour, – placing the text on a coloured background, – moving the information about the practised phonic sounds onto the margin, – placing the information about the practised phonic sounds and the age of the child in a live page, – font selection (serif/sans-serif), – change of the letter depending on the recipient of a given paragraph, etc. The observations concern the power of the educational (speech therapy) influence of the editorial aterial or the materiality of the book in the meaning of Roland Reuß. One can also try to say that this series of distinctions facilitates working with the text both for the speech therapist and the child. However, one should pay attention to the entire editorial and child-perspective of such editions. Not only the way of distinction itself is important, but the correspondingly clear contrasts between the used colours, writing degrees, spacing, etc. are preserved, remembering the fun and educational function of the type of publication for the child as a recipient, especially with speech therapy deficits.

W artykule dokonano analizy zjawiska, jakim jest b-learning w terapii logopedycznej dzieci. Przedstawiono odpowiedzi na hipotezy badawcze z rozprawy doktorskiej autorki pt. „B-learning w diagnozie i terapii logopedycznej dzieci”, w której stara się znaleźć odpowiedź na pytanie, czy nowe technologie korzystnie wpływają na rozwój językowy współczesnych dzieci? Cyfrowy świat niesie nie tylko zagrożenia, ale również korzyści. Logopedzi, którzy są odpowiedzialni za rozwój językowy dzieci, powinni szczególnie uważnie obserwować i badać te zjawiska, by wypracować jak najlepsze metody stymulujące mowę i komunikację „cyfrowych tubylców”.
The author of the article analyzes the phenomenon of b-learning in speech therapy of children. The article presents answers to research hypotheses from the PhD dissertation of the author, ”B-learning in the diagnosis and speech therapy of children”. The author tries to find an answer to the question whether new technologies have a positive impact on the linguistic development of contemporary children? The digital world has not only risks but also benefits. Speech therapist, who are responsible for the linguistic development of children, should pay particular attention to these phenomena and study them in order to develop the best possible methods of stimulating the speech and communication of ”digital natives”.

Over the last few years considerable progress in medicine and the emergence of multispecialist teams have tightened the relationship between medicine and logopaedics. The aim of this paper is to discuss selected aspects of the cooperation among laryngologists (mainly those who specialise in oncological laryngology), and phoniatricians. I will present the selected aspects of this cooperation, among others aims of a speech therapist (a member of a multidisciplinary team of specialists) in therapies that can help people with cancer of the mouth, nasal cavity, larynx and throat; and people with professional dysphonia.
W związku z olbrzymimi postępami w medycynie i tworzeniem się wielospecjalistycznych zespołów w ostatnich kilkunastu latach zacieśnia się związek logopedii z medycyną. Celem artykułu jest omówienie wybranych aspektów współpracy logopedy z laryngologiem (przede wszystkim specjalizującym się w onkologii laryngologicznej) i foniatrą. Zaprezentowano wybrane aspekty tej współpracy, między innymi zadania logopedy – członka interdyscyplinarnego zespołu specjalistów – w procesie terapii osób z chorobami nowotworowymi w obrębie jamy ustnej, jamy nosowej, krtani i gardła oraz osób z zawodowymi dysfoniami.

In recent years, the speech-language pathology has developed dynamically. It plays a growing role not only in the area of education but also in the field of medicine. Teaching correct articulation is just one of possible challenges faced by speechlanguage pathologists. The multidisciplinary context of that field of knowledge can be seen in various subfields of speech-language pathology which have evolved over time. Therefore, the primary objective of the conducted research was to assess the awareness of the importance of speech-language pathologists in everyday life of children and adults. The research was carried out among 50 respondents in the city of Poznań and provided the ground for discussion on the subject being the core issue of the presented paper.

Opis:
The modern system of education in higher school requires new approaches to the learning and assessment process. The formation of an adequate self-assessment of students during the learning process affects the quality of education and the motivation of self-learning and self-improvement. What is important for future speech therapist is the ability to criticize their level of knowledge and skills, which is a prerequisite for mastering logodiagnostic competence. The most difficult for students is a non-point evaluation, which requires formed critical thinking and adequate self-esteem. The article presents the results of self-assessment during the lecture and non-point evaluation of each other during seminars and practical classes of first-year students of the first (bachelor’s) level of the specialty “Special education” from the “Speech Therapy” program at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University in 2016–2018. The obtained results made it possible to consider the assessment, as a condition for the professional development of future speech therapists, and as a means of feedback communication between participants in the educational process in higher school.
Współczesny system kształcenia wyższego wymaga nowego podejścia do uczenia się i oceniania. Kształtowanie adekwatnej samooceny studentów poprzez ocenę ich sukcesów w uczeniu się wpływa na jakość edukacji i motywacji do samokształcenia i samodoskonalenia. Dla rozwoju zawodowego przyszłych logopedów duże znaczenie ma umiejętność krytycznego podejścia do poziomu ich wiedzy i umiejętności, co jest warunkiem do opanowania kompetencji logodiagnostycznych. Najtrudniejsze dla studentów jest ocenianie bezpunktowe, które wymaga ukształtowanego myślenia krytycznego i adekwatnej samooceny. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki samodzielnego oceniania na wykładach oraz bezpunktowego systemu oceniania siebie nawzajem podczas zajęć praktycznych i ćwiczeń studentów pierwszego roku studiów licencjackich na specjalności pedagogika specjalna programu terapii mowy na Uniwersytecie im. Borysa Grinczenki w Kijowie w latach 2016–2018.
Современная система образования в высшей школе требует новых подходов к обучению и оцениванию. Формирование адекватной самооценки студентов через оценивание успехов в обучении влияет на качество образования и мотивации к самообучению и самосовершенствованию. Актуальным для профессионального становления будущих логопедов есть умение критически относится к уровню своих знаний и умений, что является предпосылкой к овладению логодиагностической компетенцией. Наиболее трудным для студентов есть безбальное оценивание, которое требует сформированного критического мышления и адекватной самооценки. В статье представлены результаты самооценивания на лекциях и безбального оценивания друг друга на семинарских и практических занятиях студентов І курса первого (бакалаврского) уровня специальности «Специальное образование» образовательной программы «Логопедия» Киевского университета имени Бориса Гринченка в 2016–2018 гг. Полученные результаты дали возможность рассмотреть оценивание, как условие профессионального становления будущих логопедов, средство обеспечения обратной связи между участниками учебного процесса в высшей школе.

The article presents the findings from two research projects on bullying among students with communication disorders. The aim of the first project is to survey the opinions of teachers (n = 53) and speech‑language therapists/pathologists (n = 59) on the prevalence of this phenomenon, its causes and potential remedies. Respondents were also asked whether children with speech‑language problems were more likely to become victims of bullying at school in their opinion. The study also accounts for the respondents’ opinions of potential forms of preventing bullying and preparing students for dealing with this problem in the school setting. In addition, the article presents the results of a pilot study carried out in the framework of workshop meetings organized at the University of Silesia in Katowice. During these workshops, educational activities were carried out with regard to the practical aspects of how to deal with bullying at school. The workshops involved both stuttering children and their parents/caregivers. The authors also discuss the results of a survey conducted among the workshop participants in the form of pre‑ and post‑workshop questionnaires. The paper also includes evaluation of issues such as, bullying at school and potential strategies of dealing with it. The final part of the article, provides examples of strategies of how to support students in dealing with bullying in schools.
W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki dwóch projektów badawczych dotyczących mobbingu szkolnego wobec uczniów z zaburzeniami w komunikowaniu się. Celem pierwszego projektu było sondowanie opinii nauczycieli (n = 53) i logopedów (n = 59) na temat częstości występowania tego zjawiska, jego przyczyn oraz potencjalnych środków zaradczych. Respondenci byli również proszeni o ocenę, czy dzieci zmagające się z jakimkolwiek problemem logopedycznym częściej stają się ofiarami dokuczania i/lub znęcania w szkole. Rozpoznawano także opinie badanych na temat potencjalnych form przeciwdziałania mobbingowi szkolnemu oraz ich przygotowania do radzenia sobie z tym zjawiskiem na terenie szkoły. W opracowaniu przedstawiono również wyniki pilotażowego projektu badawczego realizowanego w ramach spotkań warsztatowych dla dzieci jąkających się i ich rodzin, organizowanych na Uniwersytecie Śląskim w Katowicach. Podczas tych warsztatów przeprowadzono zajęcia edukacyjne z zakresu praktycznych aspektów radzenia sobie z mobbingiem szkolnym. W warsztatach wzięły udział zarówno dzieci jąkające się, jak i ich rodzice/opiekunowie. Autorki omówiły również wyniki sondażu przeprowadzonego wśród uczestników przed warsztatami i po ich wdrożeniu na temat mobbingu szkolnego i potencjalnych strategii radzenia sobie z tym zjawiskiem. W podsumowaniu artykułu zarekomendowano przykładowe formy wsparcia ucznia w radzeniu sobie z przejawami dokuczania lub/i prześladowania w szkole.

The main purpose of the article is to draw attention to the need for cooperation between a family assistant and a speech therapist, which rarely occurs. An assistant is another profession called to work with a family in the area of support. "The main task of an assistant is to support parents in the proper fulfillment of their caring and educational functions and shaping the skills of family members in finding solutions to life difficulties" (Krasiejko, 2016, p. 5). Therefore, work in this profession requires continuous expansion of competences and their adaptation to the needs of those under their care. The article introduces one of the topics that a family assistant can meet in his work and which can be a challenge for him, mainly the topic of the correct and incorrect development of a child's speech. Stages of speech development were discussed, with particular attention to preschool children. The presented description of the course of speech development (normative - delayed - disturbed) will allow the family assistant to catch an early deviation from the norm, draw the child's guardians attention to the need for a speech therapy assessment of speech development and to help in organizing consultations with a speech therapist. As a result of the examination, the speech therapist will decide whether to start therapy and refer you to specialist examinations (e.g. audiological, ENT, orthodontic, psychological).

Due to the lack of a statutory definition and due to the interdisciplinary nature of the profes¬sion of a speech therapist, there have been doubts regarding its classification as a medical or paramedical profession. The above is, in fact, of crucial significance from the point of view of tax provisions, since medical care services provided by medical or paramedical facilities, on the condition of fulfilling specific requirements, can enjoy VAT exemption. Unfortunately, there is no definition of medical care in the EU and domestic law, and the requirements nec- essary to exempt a given service from the discussed tax have not been sufficiently specified. This publication, using a dogmatic method, by hitherto not conducted in literature analysis, was aimed at answering the question of whether medical care services provided by speech therapists are exempt from value added tax. Having achieved the aforementioned objective, the paper explicitly indicates that a speech therapist is a medical profession pursuant to the tax law provisions. The paper also leads to the conclusion that, in principle, medical care services provided by speech therapists are subject to exemption from VAT.

Then the characteristics of the mirror as a typical element of the speech therapy room equipment were made. The article discusses the issue of its use in the opinion of speech therapists. Speech disorders specialists note that it should be used first of all for people with articulation disorders and less for people with mutism.

W artykule przedstawiono badania i opinie dotyczące wizerunku i samooceny logopedy. Poruszono też kwestie związane z jego tożsamością , wykształceniem i wyceną usług logopedycznych. Omówiono również problem solidarności zawodowej oraz roli etyki i autorytetów. Podano również zarys koncepcji kształtowania pozytywnego wizerunku logopedy.
The research and opinions regarding the image and self-evaluation of a speech therapist were presented in the article. The issue of his/her identity, education and the cost of logopedic services was raised. The problem of solidarity within the profession of a speech therapist was discussed, together with the role of ethics and role models. The outline of the concept of the speech therapist’s positive image was provided.

Opis:
W artykule przedstawiono pojęcie aktywizacji i aktywności. Wyeksponowano cele aktywizacji człowieka oraz formy i etapy aktywizacji. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono arteterapii (pojęcie, cele, funkcje, metody i techniki), a zwłaszcza jej zastosowaniu w pracy z osobami z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Ponadto zamieszczono wyniki badań prowadzonych w środowisku suwalskim w placówkach zajmujących się niepełnosprawnymi. Artykuł zamykają wnioski.
The article presents the concept of activation and activity. The goals of human activation as well as its forms and stages have been highlighted with special attention paid to art therapy (concept, goals, functions, methods and techniques), especially its application in work with people with intellectual disabilities. The article provides a conclusions drawn from the results of the research conducted in Suwałki region, in institutions dealing with the disabled.
