    The seeking of a lifetime partner/spouse, establishing and maintaining close relationships are central developmental tasks in young adulthood. In successful achievement of these tasks relational competences may play a crucial role, thus making it reasonable to study their conditions. This article provides a theoretical and empirical analysis of the relationship between relational competences and attachment style, relationship status, and gender. It presents a study of a normal sample of 423 young adults, aged 20-35, who completed The Questionnaire of Relational Competences in Intimate Relationships, Revised Adult Attachment Scale, and Demographic Questionnaire. The analysis of the data revealed that in the description of various relational competences all three factors play an important role. It has also turned out that the association between relational competences and attachment style is influenced by the circumstances pertaining to relationship status.

    The article analyses relationship patterns as predictors of relationship status (having vs not having a partner) among female university students. Inner relationship patterns were identified on the basis of written statements on significant relations. The statements were obtained through the Relationship Anecdotes Paradigm (RAP), which allows the acquisition of autobiographic records of narrative nature on personally significant interpersonal relations. The results of the analysis based on the concept of Core Conflictual Relationship Theme (CCRT) helped predict whether a respondent has a partner thanks to only one category of relationship patterns – the desire of the self to feel well and comfortably, to have a sense of stability, to feel happy and self-satisfied, triggered in the context of referring to a significant interpersonal relation in the narratives. The other aspects of the patterns – responses of the other to the self’s desire and the response of the self to the reactions of the other – do not markedly affect the prediction of the relationship status.

    Cel pracy Głównym celem przeprowadzonych badań było określenie związku pomiędzy uzależnieniem od Facebooka a satysfakcją ze statusu związku. Materiał i metody W badaniu online wzięło udział 105 osób w wieku 18 -36 lat (M = 24,31, SD=3,35), w tym 63 kobiety i 42 mężczyzn. Osoby badane wypełniły skalę Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS; Andreassen, Torsheim, Brunborg, Pallesen, 2012) w polskiej adaptacji Charzyńskiej i Góźdź (2014) oraz Skalę Satysfakcji ze Statusu Związku (ReSta; Lehmann i in. 2015) w polskiej adaptacji Adamczyk (2019). Wyniki Przeprowadzono analizę korelacji między zmienną uzależnienie od Facebooka a satysfakcją ze statusu związku. Korelacja między zmiennymi okazała się istotna statystycznie. Wnioski Wyniki wskazują na istnienie związku między uzależnieniem od Facebooka a satysfakcją ze status związku. Istnieje potrzeba dalszych badań w tym obszarze, między innymi replikacja badania na większej grupie osób badanych.
    Objectives This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between Facebook addiction and satisfaction with the relationship status. Material and methods The online study involved 105 participants between the age of 18-36 (M = 24.31, SD =3.35), including 63 women and 42 men. The participants completed the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS; Andreassen, Torsheim, Brunborg, Pallesen, 2012) in Polish adaptation by Charzyńska and Góźdź (2014) and the Satisfaction with Relationship Status Scale (ReSta; Lehmann et al., 2015) in Polish adaptation by Adamczyk (2019). Results Correlation analysis was carried out between Facebook addiction and satisfaction with the relationship status. Correlation between variables was statistical significant. Conclusions The findings revealed the existing link between Facebook addiction and status satisfaction. It is need of the future research in this area, among others replication of the study on the bigger respondents group.

    Opis:
    The purpose of this article is description of perception and valuation of animals by students from selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe. In the first part of article was presented the history of the relationship between human and animal. The theoretical part of text includes also reflections on the moral status of animals. In the second part of article was presented results of the research which was conducted by author in 2015. The subject of the researches was: “Environmental values in the awareness of the students of humanities and life sciences from the selected European countries”. The project was conducted based on the quantitative method. The sample was comprised 520 students. In the article proposes the following research problems: Does the perception of animals depend on the direction the respondents study? Does gender affect how respondents perceive animals? The questions and independent variables were nominal, and their analysis required the use of a chi-squared test to examine. On the base statistical calculations can be concluded that sex and faculty of study doesn’t differentiate respondent’s opinion about animals welfare. The lack of differences in opinions between respondents is explained by the fact that it is the result of specifics of cultural Central Eastern Europe, not of gender or field of study. Obtained conclusions are pushing for further research in this area.

    The aim of this article is to present the results of research about the socio-economic status of women after divorce. 120 women after divorce participated in the survey. The women assessed their financial situation in the period before and after the divorce and the impact of divorce on their financial situation, housing and professional work. The results indicate that there is no difference in the assessment of the material situation before and after the divorce. The negative impact of divorce experienced especially women running a household alone, and a woman with two children. Living with a new partner or with second husband, and being the initiator or of the divorce process was associated with a positive assess- ment of the impact of divorce on the financial situation and housing.

    В трех группах (по 15 особей в каждой) фризских молочных овец, овец корридель и помесей F₁ фризской молочной и корридель в сельскохозяйственной опытной станции Пучнев в 1984 г. изучали молочную продуктивность, состав молока, состояние здоровья вымени и приросты ягнят. Содержание соматических клеток в молоке определяли с помощью аппарата Фоссоматик 15610.Количество клеточных элементов определяли в статистических расчетах и с помощью логарифмирования. Изменвивость среднего значения выражали в процентах (V). Исследовали образцы первой надоенной партии, а затем всего молока. Содержание всех указанных элементов доения в первой струе молока было более низким, чем во всем молоке. Установлене статиотически существенная зависимость между содержанием соматических клеток и удельным весом лактозы (r = -0,155 - -0,348), белка ( r = 0,115 - 0,527) и сухого вещества в молоке ( r = 0,109-0,195). Коэффициент корреляции между количеством клеточных элементов в молоке и молочной продуктивностью, а также приростом ягнят (особенно в первом месяце выращивания) был в общем отрицательным и статистически несущественным.
    Three groups (by 15 heads each) of East-Friesian sheep, Corriedale sheep and F₁ crosses of the above breeds were tested at the Experiment Station Puczniew in 1984. Milk performance, milk composition, udder health state and growth of lambs were comprised with the tests. The content of somatic cells in milk was determined with the use of the Fossomatic 15610 apparatus. The amount of somatic cells was expressed in statistical calculations in terms of scores and logarythmic values. The variability of mean values was expressed in % (V). Samples of the first streams of milk contained less number of the above components than the whole milk, Statistically significant relationship between the content of somatic cells in milk and per cent of lactose in milk (r = -0.155- -0.348), per cent of proteins in milk (r = 0.115-0.527) and per cent of dry matter of milk (r = 0.109-0.195) were found. Correlation coefficients between the content of somatic cells in milk and the milk performance as well as the growth of lambs (particularly in the first month of rearing) were, as a rule, negative and statistically insignificant.

    Until very recently, the Polish civil registry offices and administration courts refused to transcribe foreign birth certificates of the children of homosexual couples (biological children of one of the partners, adopted children or children born through surrogacy). The aim of the article is to critically analyze this practice. As Polish law stands today, children who are refused a transcription of their birth certificate have no possibility to obtain Polish documents confirming their Polish citizenship (such as a passport or ID). Therefore, the refusal to provide a transcription not only has formal and evidentiary consequences, such as a lack of a Polish certificate of civil status, but it also creates important practical consequences for the interested parties. Until recently, this result was largely ignored by Polish courts and other authorities. However, a ground-breaking judgment was rendered by the Supreme Administrative Court on 10 October 2018, in which the Court ordered a transcription of the birth certificate of a child who identified a Polish citizen as the mother and another woman as the second parent. The author submits that the existing case law of the European Court of Human Rights suggests that the practice of refusing to transcribe the birth certificates of the children of homosexual couples violates the European Convention of Human Rights.
    Polskie urzędy stanu cywilnego i sądy administracyjne odmawiały do niedawna transkrypcji zagranicznych aktów urodzenia dzieci par jednopłciowych (biologicznych dzieci jednego z partnerów, adoptowanych lub urodzonych przy pomocy macierzyństwa zastępczego). Celem opracowania jest krytyczna analiza tej praktyki. W aktualnym stanie prawnym dzieci par jednopłciowych, którym odmawia się transkrypcji zagranicznego aktu urodzenia, nie mają możliwości uzyskania w Polsce żadnych dokumentów potwierdzających ich tożsamość i polskie obywatelstwo. Odmowa transkrypcji powoduje zatem nie tylko formalno-dowodowe skutki w postaci braku polskiego aktu stanu cywilnego, ale naraża zainteresowanych na istotne trudności praktyczne. Aspekt ten umykał do niedawna polskim sądom i innym organom. Przełomowy jest jednak w omawianym zakresie wyrok Naczelnego Sądu Administracyjnego z 10 października 2018 r., w którym sąd ten nakazał dokonanie transkrypcji aktu urodzenia dziecka obywatelki polskiej i innej kobiety, wskazanej w akcie jako drugi z rodziców. Autor argumentuje także, że z dotychczasowego orzecznictwa Europejskiego Trybunału Praw Człowieka można wnosić, iż praktyka odmawiania transkrypcji aktów urodzenia dzieci par jednopłciowych jest sprzeczna z Europejską Konwencją Praw Człowieka.

    Opis:
    The object of this study is to analyze the employment relationship of employees holding managerial positions at different levels of management from the perspective of the most important structural features characterizing this relationship. According to the established position of the science of labor law and the settled case law, these characteristic features include: voluntariness and reciprocal obligations, remuneration for the work, work continuity and personal nature of the work performed, the obligation of due diligence, the risk owned by the employing entity and, and subordination of the employee to the employer in the course of their work. Analysis of the characteristic features of the employment relationship of managers indicates that the higher in the hierarchy of the organization the managerial position is, and the larger the area of matters falling within the competence of the executive management employee is, the more atypical the employment relationship is, and the more it departs from the classical model. This tendency is best seen in relation to senior management employees, who, being at the top of the organizational structure, do not have their own superior, and the final economic result of the organization and the level of its competitiveness in legal transactions depend mostly on their attitudes and creativity. In the case of this category of workers, the employee subordination is the least explicit – if there is one at all – and also there are visible far-reaching distinguishing features in terms of employment characteristics such as: personal performance of work, the nature of the obligation, tending towards outcome commitment and risk (especially economic and personal), which burdens the workers to a much greater extent than in the typical employment relationship. This observation de lege lata calls into question the status of employee of top managers. However, the lower in the hierarchy of management the given position is situated, and the lower the area of matters falling within the competence of the executive employee, the more the employment relationship is visible, referring to the classic characteristics of the employment relationship model.
