    Opis:
    The article discusses changes in the area of culture related to promoting and distributing cultural content on the internet, as well as transformations concerning flow of cultural content, practices of participation in culture and new business models, that emerged in this sphere. Statistics on the usage of media, including TV and the internet, in Poland were examined. While presenting changes in distribution and related new business models, focus was put on the effects of content overproduction and numerous channels of distribution, resulting in the growing role of filtering mechanisms. It has also been shown, how the use of the internet supports participation in culture offline, and the relevant mechanisms have been pointed. Raising popularity of the internet, diversification of channels to access cultural content and more democratic, in comparison to the old media, ecosystem, with lowered entry barriers, belong to the crucial aspects of the changes discussed. Among conclusions, the role of the state in this new system, as well as and the place for the Internet in the broader model of civic participation are discussed.

    Prawo autorskie, czy też szerzej – prawo własności intelektualnej, stanowi kategorię normatywną tradycyjnie budowaną w oparciu o instytucje prawa prywatnego, w szczególności zaś przy zastosowaniu modelu prawa własności. Nie może być ono jednak współcześnie traktowane ściśle jako hermetyczna grupa przepisów będących „pozakodeksowym działem” prawa cywilnego. Gwałtowny postęp techniczny, otwarcie rynków na obszarze Unii Europejskiej, nowe pola eksploatacji utworów, a także łatwość dostępu i rozpowszechniania rezultatów pracy twórczej to tylko najważniejsze dzisiaj przesłanki ingerencji państwa w funkcjonowanie prawa autorskiego poprzez wprowadzenie do niego mechanizmów publicznoprawnych. Byłoby naiwnym forsowanie tez, jakoby prawo cywilne zawierało normy zapewniające wystarczająco skuteczną ochronę twórcom i innym uprawnionym podmiotom z jednej strony oraz słusznych interesów społeczeństwa rozumianych jako prawo dostępu do twórczości z drugiej. Tak określony obszar zaangażowania państwa można określić mianem „systemu publicznego zarządzania prawami autorskimi i prawami pokrewnymi”. Mieszczą się tutaj grupy przepisów dotyczących organów administracji publicznej, posiadających kompetencje we wskazanej sferze, organizacji zbiorowego zarządzania prawami autorskimi i prawami pokrewnymi, kontroli produkcji nośników optycznych, opłat o szczególnym charakterze, Funduszu Promocji Twórczości oraz odpowiednich procedur. Oczywiście wszystkie wymienione kategorie mieszczą się w zakresie działu administracji rządowej „kultura i dziedzictwo narodowe”, którego centralnym ogniwem jest minister właściwy do spraw kultury i dziedzictwa narodowego”. Wymienione przeze mnie instytucje prawne pełnią różnorakie role w obrębie prawa autorskiego, wśród których warto wymienić przede wszystkim funkcję ochrony twórców, usprawnienia i kontroli legalności obrotu, redystrybucji środków pieniężnych wśród uprawnionych oraz wspieranie twórców i podmiotów praw pokrewnych, natomiast jako cel nadrzędny należy widzieć zapewnienie warunków dla rozwoju szeroko rozumianej twórczości. Abstrahując jednakże w zupełności od rozważań w przedmiocie konieczności budowania instytucji prawa autorskiego, skłaniając się bardziej do silnej ochrony twórców (innych uprawnionych podmiotów) czy też szerokiej deregulacji obrotu bądź na przykład zestawienia daleko idącej deregulacji obrotu w opozycji do ściśle cywilistycznych rozwiązań, pragnę podkreślić, że rozwój prawa autorskiego (oraz ogólnie ujętego prawa własności intelektualnej), jego badanie, ulepszanie, usprawnianie stanowi współcześnie istotny element warunkujący dla rozwoju kultury, nauki, techniki, a wobec tego – być może – w ważnej części cywilizacji człowieka jako całości na jej obecnym etapie.
    Copyright – or the intellectual property right – is a normative category traditionally based upon private law institutions, with the use of the property right model in particular. However, nowadays it cannot be treated strictly as a hermetic group of articles, constituting a branch of the civil law outside the code. The abrupt technological progress, the opening of the European Union markets, the new fields of artistic works' exploitation as well as the ability to get to and spread the results of one's creative work with great ease – these are the most important reasons for the state's interference in the functioning of the copyright law. This interference consists in introducing the public law mechanisms into the copyright law. It would be naive to advance a thesis that the civil law includes legal norms providing the sufficient protection of authors and other entitled subjects on the one hand, and of the society's rightful interests on the other ( where the “society's interests” are understood as the right to have access to other people's creative output ). Thus defined area of the state's involvement may be described as “the system of the public management of copyright and related rights”. The category involves groups of articles concerning the following areas: the public administration bodies competent in given spheres, the organizations of the collective management of copyright and related rights, the optical carriers production control, special fares, the Creativity Promotion Fund, and the proper procedures. Obviously, all of the above categories are comprised within the government administration branch called “culture and national heritage”, whose central link is the minister proper of culture and national heritage. The legal institutions I mentioned serve many functions within the copyright law. Among their many roles the ones worth mentioning are the protection of the author, facilitating and controlling the legality of the turnover, redistributing financial resources among the entitled subjects, and supporting authors and the related rights' subjects. However, it is the ensuring of favourable conditions for the widely understood creativity that should be recognized as the supreme goal of these institutions' functioning.

    Club coaches, national team coaches, as well as Olympic or Paralympic team coaches are those trainers who use their knowledge, professionalism and experience to lead their trainees to achieve sports results that satisfy athletes as well as coaches and authorities of Polish associations of various sports disciplines practiced by the athletes. A good trainer is the most important person in the coaching team, as they supervise the whole participation of their Olympians or Paralympians. Among the graduates of the Szczecin University’s Physical Education, there are many trainers of various sports disciplines. They are club coaches, national team coaches and they also hold coaching functions at the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. The aim of this paper is to: present the university (student) characteristics of the analyzed coaches and a physiotherapist who stand among the potential candidates to be appointed for the coaching and medical staff of their trainees (including the football team) who will fight for qualification standards guaranteeing them participation in the 32nd Summer Olympics or 16th Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020; showing the current coaching activity of the trainers and a physiotherapist in question; presenting the criteria and eligibility rules which the athletes of the coaches and the physiotherapist need to obtain to take part in the Tokyo Olympic or Paralympic competition. The research material consists of six graduates of the University of Szczecin, who majored in Physical Education, and who currently work primarily in the coaching team (Tomasz Kaźmierczak, Jacek Kostrzeba, Tomasz Lewandowski, Grzegorz Musztafaga, Miłosz Stępiński) and the medical/therapeutic team (Beata Buryta). All of the analyzed graduates of the University of Szczecin are among the trainers and physiotherapists who are candidates for the Polish national team for the 32nd Olympic Games or the 16th Paralympics Games Tokyo 2020. Tomasz Kaźmierczak – he will definitely be present for the fourth time at the Summer Games Tokyo 2020 as a coach for disabled rowers (previous participations in 2008, 2012, and 2016). The trainees of the coaches in question (except for the football team) can be included into the Polish team participating in the Summer Games Tokyo 2020 and at least compete in finals during the Olympic or Paralympic competition.

    The article presents activities undertaken by a Public Provincial Library – the Copernicus Library in Toruń in the field of promoting readership among children and adolescents in the 1980s. The author describes the situation of libraries after WWII and the role of librarians, emphasizing the educational aspect of their work. In addition, she recreates the course of seminars organised for librarians from children’s libraries, the curiculum of which included academic lectures including lectures on authors of books for children, an analysis of the status of readership and libraries and a discussion of the latest developments. The text includes a description of popularizing activities and initiatives. Cyclical library lessons and thematic projects like holiday and summer campaigns, are also described. The article is based mainly on historical source materials stored in the Archives of the Public Library and the State Archives in Toruń. They include documents relating to the institution, i.e. reports, characteristics of the directions of library development for selected years, as well as materials documenting library events and happenings.

    Balancing sports practice at the highest world level with university education is a difficult – but feasible – task. An example of such skilful balance are some graduates of the Higher Pedagogical School in Szczecin, University of Szczecin, majoring in Physical Education, who graduated from the university with a successfully defended Master's thesis while being active athletes. The aim of this paper is: to present current students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Health Promotion of the University of Szczecin (WKFiPZ US) and a graduate of the Institute of Physical Culture of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Szczecin (IKF WNP US) as potential candidates of various disciplines for the 32nd Summer Olympic or 16th Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020; to show their sports achievements in previous Olympic and Paralympic Games; to present the indicators and qualification rules that the analysed athletes must follow to represent Poland in the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. The study involved a group of seven athletes, current students of the University of Szczecin, Faculty of Physical Culture and Health Promotion: Patryk Dobek, Michał Gadowski, Marcin Lewandowski, Piotr Lisek, Katarzyna Mądrowska, Paulina Woźniak, Krystian Zalewski and one graduate of the Institute of Physical Culture of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Szczecin, Anna Harkowska. All of them are members of the national Polish team in their respective sport disciplines. They compete in their respective sports disciplines in which they strive for qualifying standards which guarantee a start in the 32nd Summer Olympic or the 16th Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. Piotr Lisek has the best chance of winning a medal in Tokyo in pole vault, as well as the following disabled athletes: Anna Harkowska in cycling, Michał Gadowski in rowing, and Paulina Woźniak in swimming. Marcin Lewandowski – a titled European medallist in the 800 m race will probably compete in his fourth Summer Olympics Tokyo 2020 (he participated in 2008, 2012, and 2016) and this time will fight for the best place amongst the finalist in the 1,500 m race.

    Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie problematyki nauczania języka i kultury polskiej w warunkach zdalnych na przykładzie Bałtyckiego Uniwersytetu Federalnego im. Immanuela Kanta w Kaliningradzie. Przedstawiony został przebieg wydarzeń edukacyjnych i kulturalnych promujących język i kulturę polską w roku akademickim 2020/2021, takich jak: Międzynarodowe Multimodalne Dyktando oraz konkurs krasomówczy PaintTalks, które zostały zorganizowane w ramach Dni Języka i Kultury Polskiej. Dodatkowo omówiono sposoby realizacji dwóch kursów przedmiotowych przeznaczonych dla studentów studiów licencjackich na kierunku filologia obca: język polski i literatura, które w całości odbyły się w formie online; są to: Wprowadzenie do kultury polskiej i Praktyczny język polski. Uwzględnione zostało także badanie ilościowe, a kwestionariusz ankietowy prezentuje opinie i refleksje uczestników kursów na temat atrakcyjności i efektywności takiej formy uczenia się języka obcego. Powodem podjęcia wybranej tematyki jest potrzeba odpowiedzi na aktualne wyzwania edukacyjne związane z nauczaniem online oraz zaprezentowanie różnorodnych przedsięwzięć promujących język i kulturę polską poza granicami kraju. Tekst wpisuje się we współczesne badania nad promocją języka polskiego jako obcego oraz glottodydaktyczne poszukiwania dotyczące polonistyk światowych.
    The purpose of the article is to discuss the issue of teaching the Polish language and Polish culture in remote conditions on the example of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad. The study presents the educational and cultural events promoting Polish language and culture in the academic year 2020/2021. They included the International Multimodal Dictation and the PaintTalks oratorical competition, which were organized as part of the Days of Polish Language and Culture. The article also presents the methods of implementing two subject courses intended for undergraduate students of foreign philology in the program Polish language and literature, which were entirely conducted in an online form: Introduction to Polish culture and Practical language Polish. Further, the paper shows the results of a quantitative study and of a questionnaire, which express the course participants’ opinions and reflections on the attractiveness and effectiveness of this form of learning a foreign language. The reason for taking up this topic is the need to respond to the current educational challenges related to online teaching and to present various projects aimed at promoting the Polish language and Polish culture abroad. The text is in line with contemporary research on the promotion of Polish as a foreign language and international glottodidactic studies of Polish.

    Mulierum Schola Gregoriana Clamaverunt Iusti is a group with a 10-year history of promoting sacred music – the oldest monodic tradition of the Western Church. In addition to compositions from the Gregorian repertoire, the group chooses also prepolifonic works, including later compositions inspired by Gregorian chant. The proposed interpretation is based on the oldest available liturgical and music sources with a paleographic notation, in the spirit of semiological discoveries initiated by Dom Cardine. The concerts are an attempt at reviving and preserving the music accompanying the liturgy until the times of the Second Vatican Council.
    Mulierum Schola Gregoriana Clamaverunt Iusti to zespół z 10-letnim stażem promocji muzyki sakralnej – najstarszej monodycznej tradycji Kościoła Zachodniego. Oprócz kompozycji z repertuaru gregoriańskiego, zespół sięga po utwory prepolifoniczne, w tym późniejsze opracowania inspirowane śpiewem gregoriańskim.
