    Building objects are objects generated by man. They are then the houses, buildings and the objects of small architecture the making up elements of technical infrastructure of cities. They should guarantee comprehended occupants' safety in projecting, execution and use. In article was introduced placed with regard building objects on safety.
    Obiekty budowlane to obiekty wygenerowane przez człowieka. Są to budynki, budowle i obiekty małej architektury stanowiące zabudowę miejską wraz z infrastrukturą techniczną. Powinny one gwarantować ogólnie pojęte bezpieczeństwo mieszkańców na etapie ich projektowania, wykonywania i eksploatacji. W artykule przedstawiono wymagania sta-wiane obiektom budowlanym ze względu na bezpieczeństwo.

    W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badania opinii publicznej, przeprowadzonego w grupie osób pracujących i przebywających czasowo w obiektach zabezpieczanych środkami technicznymi i ochroną fizyczną. Wyniki badania wskazują na poczucie bezpieczeństwa u ankietowanych. Artykuł prezentuje również opinie ankietowanych na temat monitoringu w zabezpieczonych obiektach.
    This article presents results survey of public opinion in group of people working and temporary being present in the supervised buildings with technical mechanism and bodyguards. The results of research gave information about feeling safety in opinion of asked people. The opinion asked people about picture monitoring working in the supervised buildings has been presented too.

    Opis:
    The aim of this paper is to use closed-circuit television (CCTV) to search and track moving objects in inland waterways. The area of the analysis is the part of the West Odra river between the Długi and Kolejowy bridges in Szczecin. The points of interest are chosen intentionally due to the risk of vessel collision with bridges. The results of the research into the implemented methods of tracking objects could be utilized in the future to extend inland navigation services, which could be used by the captains of the ships and River Information Services operational personnel as well.

    Opis:
    The operation of an autonomous movable objects, such as a sea transport vessels, implies the presence of a source of potential energy on board the vessel and the possibility of converting this energy into the work required for the autonomous movable object (vessel). Being an autonomous object, a transport vessel should be provided with energy for it moving, energy for heat exchange processes on board and electricity for powering electrical equipment, automation and navigation systems, and household needs on board. An analysis of the component of the engine room equipment made it possible to designate (combine) the generating equipment of mechanical energy flow, equipment which are generating the heat energy flow and equipment which are generating the electric energy flow. Based on the results of the research the relationships between the energy flows are identified connections and ways to ensure stabilization of energy generation on board the cargo vessel is outlined. Using the results of the research the relationships between the energy flows will reduce the likelihood of accidents on board a cargo vessel due to a stop in the generation of one of the energy flows and thereby ensure increased safety of man at sea. Taking into account the peculiarities of the distribution of energy flows in ship power plants can be an effective tool not only to improve the economic performance of it, but also to increase the safety of navigation and navigation in general, due to the reliable provision of uninterrupted and efficient operation of ship power plants.

    This paper presents an innovation methodology for quantity assessment the safety of dynamic positioning in locally confined area of technological work performance under nonlinear dynamic disturbances of environmental factors. The methodology is based on new integrated paradigm of prediction coordinated components interactions, which form dynamic positioning system. Proposed methodology implementation effect is based on the analysis of complex models that form the knowledge base. The comprehensive reserve of controllable thruster’s reactions was adopted as quantitative characteristic of dynamic positioning safety.

    Opis:
    Readiness and reliability is a special attribute of rescue systems (army, police, fire service), where performance at the highest level is more important than economic efficiency. For this reason, special attention is given to the process of renewal of technical objects. In such systems, a preventive strategy is most often used. Though this is a safe model, it does not always take into account the specifics of the use of a technical object. Moreover, in some situations, it forces the end of life of a device that could still continue to operate as intended. The article analyzes precisely such technical objects, removed from operation after just 10 years of use. It was shown that such approach is not justified and that modern management strategies must be implemented also in relation to machinery and equipment operating in rescue systems. The most important achievements of the article are the use of reliability analysis methods in the systems where it is not common, and the indication of the benefits of such analysis. It has been shown that knowing the characteristics of reliability, you can consciously control each process and make decisions in this regard based on the technical condition of the facility and not on instructions. In the case under study, this would make it possible to undermine the decision to withdraw the analyzed objects from operation.

    Przekraczanie granic stanowi kompetencję organizacyjną pozwalającą odpowiednio kształtować procesy współpracy międzyorganizacyjnej. Jej rola w zarządzaniu bezpieczeństwem publicznym wynika z konieczności wspólnej realizacji działań przez wiele organizacji, których zasoby i umiejetności wzajemnie się uzupełniają. Jednakże analizy prowadzone w tym zakresie są ograniczone. Z tego względu w niniejszym artykule podjęto próbę zidentyfikowania uwarunkowań i podstawowych działań związanych z przekraczaniem granic w zarządzaniu bezpieczeństwem publicznym.
    Boundary spanning is the organizational competence enabling to shape the process of inter-organizational collaboration. Its role in public safety management results from the necessity of joint action of many organizations whose resources and competencies are complementary. However, the analysis carried out in this area are limited. Therefore, this article attempts to identify the conditions and basic activities related to the boundary spanning in public safety management.
