    Bounded lattices with an antitone involution the complemented elements of which do not form a sublattice must contain two complemented elements such that not both their join and their meet are complemented. We distinguish (up to symmetry) eight cases and in each of these cases we present such a lattice of minimal cardinality.

    We consider join-semilattices with 1 where for every element p a mapping on the interval [p,1] is defined; these mappings are called sectional mappings and such structures are called semilattices with sectional mappings. We assign to every semilattice with sectional mappings a binary operation which enables us to classify the cases where the sectional mappings are involutions and / or antitone mappings. The paper generalizes results of [3] and [4], and there are also some connections to [1].

    We introduce a bounded lattice L = (L;∧,∨,0,1), where for each p ∈ L there exists an antitone involution on the interval [p,1]. We show that there exists a binary operation · on L such that L is term equivalent to an algebra A(L) = (L;·,0) (the assigned algebra to L) and we characterize A(L) by simple axioms similar to that of Abbott's implication algebra. We define new operations ⊕ and ¬ on A(L) which satisfy some of the axioms of MV-algebra. Finally we show what properties must be satisfied by L or A(L) to obtain all axioms of MV-algebra.

    Cel pracy: Podjęte badania miały na celu określić zmiany ontogenetyczne dorosłych kobiet i mężczyzn ciśnienia krwi i tętna w populacji o niskim statusie społeczno-ekonomicznym. Materiał i metody: W pracy wykorzystano wyniki badań 142 kobiet i 97 mężczyzn, mieszkańców południowej Lubelszczyzny. Badanych podzielono na grupy wiekowe, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50 oraz 51-60 lat. Wykonano następujące pomiary: ciśnienia tętniczego krwi oraz tętna. Wyniki poddano analizie statystycznej, obliczono wartości średnie i odchylenia standardowe dla każdej z grup wiekowych oraz wskaźnik dymorfizmu (WD). Wyniki i wnioski: Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na niepokojące zmiany nadciśnieniowe u mężczyzn w całym badanym okresie ontogenezy. U kobiet zaobserwowano bardziej regularny przyrost ciśnienia tętniczego z wiekiem; zmiany chorobowe pojawiają się dopiero w najstarszej z grup wiekowych. Nie stwierdzono nietypowych zmian w częstości skurczów serca. Zróżnicowanie międzypłciowe w badanej populacji względem ciśnienia tętniczego malało z wiekiem badanych.
    Aim of work: The aim of this experiment was to determine ontogenetic changes of adult women's and men's blood pressure and heart rate within the population with low SES. Material and methods: our work made use of examination results of 142 women and 97 men ― habitants of southern Lublin Voivodeship. The examined were divided into 3 age group: 21-30, 31-40, 41-50 and 51-60. We measured pressure and heart rate. Our results were subject to the statistic analysis, average values and those of the standard deviation were calculated for all the age groups, as well as the dimorphism index. Results and conclusion: the results of the experiment indicate worrying changes in blood pressure in men independently of the age group. We recorded a more regular increase in women's blood pressure and pathological changes appear only in the oldest age group. Non-standard changes in hearth rate were not found. WD index of blood pressure diminished along with age of the examined.

    The concept of a commutative directoid was introduced by J. Ježek and R. Quackenbush in 1990. We complete this algebra with involutions in its sections and show that it can be converted into a certain implication algebra. Asking several additional conditions, we show whether this directoid is sectionally complemented or whether the section is an NMV-algebra.

    We deal with congruences on semilattices with section antitone involution which rise e.g., as implication reducts of Boolean algebras, MV-algebras or basic algebras and which are included among implication algebras, orthoimplication algebras etc. We characterize congruences by their kernels which coincide with semilattice filters satisfying certain natural conditions. We prove that these algebras are congruence distributive and 3-permutable.

    W zachodniej części piaskowni Łubienica-Superunki, położonej na Wysoczyźnie Ciechanowskiej (północne Mazowsze), stwierdzono występowanie struktur peryglacjalnych, takich jak: inwolucje, bruk peryglacjalny oraz pseudomorfozy po dużych epigenetycznych klinach mrozowych z wypełnieniem lodowo-piaszczystym (ang. composite wegdes). Struktury te wykształcone są w większości bezpośrednio pod współczesną glebą i warstwą piasków pokrywowych o małej miąższości poza jednym z klinów, który występuje w obrębie osadów fluwioglacjalnych w transgresji młodszego stadiału zlodowacenia warty.
    In the western part of the Łubienica-Superunki sand pit, located on the Ciechanowska Upland (northern Mazovia), periglacial structures were observed such as: involutions, periglacial pavement and large epigenetic composite wegde psuedomorphs. The structures occur usually below contemporary topsoil and thin layer of cover sands, besides one frost wedge, which is developed in fluvioglacial sediments from transgression of younger Saalian ice sheet.

    A generalization of the well known theorem about the division of the common curve of two quadrics in two parts which are tangent to a common sphere is given.
    W pracy przedstawiono dowód twierdzenia o rozpadzie linii przenikania dwóch powierzchni drugiego stopnia stycznych do wspólnej kwadryki wzdłuż stożkowych. Idea dowodu polega na ustaleniu kolineacji środkowych zachodzących pomiędzy płaszczyznami stożkowych styczności i dowolną płaszczyzną, a następnie, korzystając z kolineacji pomiędzy przekrojami przenikających się powierzchni odpowiednio dobraną płaszczyzną, pokazanie, że przekroje te jednoczą się, uzyskując w ten sposób wspólną stożkową obu powierzchni. Sformułowano i udowodniono analogiczne twierdzenie dla dwóch kwadryk wpisanych w ten sam stożek.

    Opis:
    It is shown that the absence of a justification for the principle of least action is due to attempts to do this on the basis of the mechanics of conservative systems. It is proposed to substantiate it from the most general positions of energodynamics as the nonequilibrium thermodynamics of multivariant energy-transforming systems, which for the first time introduced specific parameters of the spatial inhomogeneity of such systems as a measure of their deviation from equilibrium. With this approach, the principle of least action becomes a consequence of the aspiration of such systems to equilibrium and the ensuing condition of a minimum moment of momentum distribution in an inhomogeneous velocity field, i.e. work required to maintain the moving system in a stationary nonequilibrium state throughout the process. This determines the validity of this principle for non-conservative systems and for all forms of energy, which greatly expands the scope of its applicability and makes it a universal tool for analyzing real processes.
