Opis:
The article deals with the assets of building broad-gauge lines in Europe. The delivery time for international transport of goods affects international business in terms of the capital put into goods and subsequently affects its turnover rate. The current disproportion of different line gauges in Europe causes significant problems in the transport of goods especially in commodity streams in the East - West direction. Based on previous research of commodity streams in international trade and a comprehensive analysis of all performed studies for building broad gauge lines, the assets of building these lines included the development of employment, increasing the transport capacity and the building of transshipment stations in Slovakia. The current geopolitical developments have also a significant impact on international transport and important transport links, therefore diversifying these risks is a logical consideration to ensure the smooth delivery of goods and thus the development of international trade.
Artykuł omawia koszty budowy kolei szerokotorowej w Europie. Czas dostawy w międzynarodowym transporcie towarów wpływa na prowadzenie międzynarodowej działalności gospodarczej, a także na obrót kapitałem. Występujące obecnie różnice w szerokości linii kolejowych w Europie powodują znaczne problemy podczas transportu towarów, zwłaszcza ze Wschodu na Zachód. Dotychczasowe badania przewozów towarowych w handlu międzynarodowym i kompleksowe analizy kosztów budowy szerokotorowych linii kolejowych wskazują na wzrost zdolności przewozowych, ale także na budowę nowych stacji przeładunkowych, a tym samym na zwiększenie się zatrudnienia na Słowacji. Bieżące wydarzenia geopolityczne mają istotny wpływ na połączenia w transporcie międzynarodowy, w związku z tym zróżnicowanie i analiza zagrożeń są ważne z punktu widzenia zapewnienia sprawnych dostaw towarów, a tym samym rozwoju handlu międzynarodowego.

W artykule omówione zostały wymagania eksportowe owoców jako towaru łatwo psującego się oraz analiza łańcucha dostaw na przykładzie procesu eksportu jabłek z Polski do Chin.
The paper deals with the problem of the supply chain of fruits. The legal regulations, technical procedures and safety requirements are also presented in the article. The profile of polish marketplace of apple producers is briefly characterized. Poland is one of the biggest apple producers, in the European Union. The Russian ban on the products from the European Union was the reason for the search of the new market outlets including China. The part of the paper reflects legal, qualitative and export regulations as well as the phyto-sanitary requirements for the fruit pickers and transporters. It has to be taken into consideration, that fruit is extremely demanding product for transportation. It is vital to deliver sufficient climatic conditions, firstly adjustment and then maintenance of the appropriate temperature and humidity. The refrigerator technology in the process of transport of apples has also been presented. The supply chain of fruits from Poland to China has been presented and shortly analysed. The process of transportation is occurring in each and every part of the chain. It is an inseparable element connecting the whole chain into one consistent, constantly working process.

Przedstawiono kształtowanie się średnich kosztów 1 wozokilometra przebiegu samochodów ciężarowych powyżej 12,0 Mg dmc w zbadanych przedsiębiorstwach w 2017 r. według ich wielkości oraz podano średnie ważone koszty jednostkowe dla całej zbadanej zbiorowości. Wyspecyfikowano główne koszty rodzajowe. Zilustrowano kształtowanie się zbadanych w 2017 r. kosztów jednostkowych z kosztami z lat 2009 – 2016. Zaprezentowano strukturę rodzajową średnich kosztów 1 wozokilometra przebiegu w 2017 r. według badań ITS.
The article represents second part of the publication of the results of cost studies conducted at the Polish enterprises of international freight transport, operating mainly on the routes to the markets of countries located outside Poland’s eastern border. The first article concerned the average unit costs in the examined enterprises operating mainly on the EU markets. The statistical characteristics of the examined enterprises were presented according to their size groups determined by the numbers of used trucks. Shown is the average cost of vehicle - kilometre of mileage for the trucks of 12.0 Mg GVW at the surveyed enterprises in 2017 arranged by their size and weighted average unit costs for the entire surveyed population. The main generic costs have been specified. The evolution of the unit costs examined in 2017 with the costs from 2009-2016 was illustrated. Structure of the average costs per 1 vehicle-kilometre of the mileage in 2017 according to ITS survey was presented.

Przy tym wyszczególniono główne rodzaje kosztów oraz podano dla ilustracji kształtowanie się powyższych zbadanych w ITS kosztów jednostkowych w latach 2009 – 2016. Zilustrowano strukturę rodzajową średnich kosztów 1 wozokilometra przebiegu w przedmiotowym zakresie w 2017 r.
The article is the first part [1] of the publication on cost studies results conducted at the Polish international freight transport enterprises, operating mainly on the EU countries markets. The statistical characteristics of the surveyed enterprises were presented according to their size groups determined by the numbers of trucks used. Shown is the average cost of 1 vehicle-kilometre of mileage for the vehicles over 12.0 Mg MAW in the surveyed enterprises in 2017 (by size of enterprises) and weighted average costs for the entire surveyed collectivity. At the same time, the main types of costs were listed and the unit costs examined at ITS for the years 2009-2016, were outlined for illustrations. The generic structure of the average costs of 1 vehicle-kilometre of mileage in the scope in question, was illustrated for the 2017.

W niniejszej publikacji dokonano porównania średnich kosztów jednostkowych i stawek przewozowych w zbadanych przedsiębiorstwach operujących głównie na rynku UE i przedsiębiorstw przewożących przeważnie w relacjach z rynkami krajów położonych poza wschodnią granicą Polski.
The article represents the third part of the publication of cost study results conducted at the Polish international truck transport companies and covering the results for 2017, presented against the background of costs for the years 2009 - 2016. The first article, placed in No. 2/2018 of the ITS quarterly, concerned average unit costs and their generic structure at the surveyed enterprises operating mainly on the EU markets. The second article, included in the No. 3/2018 of the ITS quarterly, concerned the development of the unit costs at the enterprises operating transport services mainly on the routes with the countries located outside Poland’s eastern border. This publication compares the average unit costs and transport rates at the surveyed enterprises operating mainly on the EU market and enterprises usually conducting transport services on the routes to the markets of countries located outside Poland’s eastern border.

Do prognozowania pracy przewozowej międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego wykorzystano oryginalną metodę ekspercką wzajemnych oddziaływań zdarzeń. Zadaniem wybranych ekspertów, zarówno ze środowisk akademickich, jak praktyków branży transportowej było określenie wpływu różnorakich zdarzeń o charakterze gospodarczym i politycznych na kształtowanie się przedmiotowej pracy przewozowej polskich przedsiębiorstw w perspektywie 2030 r. Wariantowa prognoza opracowana została na podstawie uzyskanych drogą ankietową prawdopodobieństw warunkowych zdarzeń, z przygotowanej listy zdarzeń. Dodatkowo przedstawiono wyniki prognozowania przy wykorzystaniu metody trendu czasowego z lat 2005 – 2016.
The original expert method of the events interactions was used to forecast the haulage work of the international freight transport. The task of selected experts, both from the academics and practitioners of the transport industry was to determine the impact of various economic and political events on the shaping of the said haulage work of Polish enterprises until 2030. The variant forecast was based on the probabilities of conditional events obtained from the questionnaire, from the prepared list of events. Additionally, the forecasting results are presented using the time trend method from the years 2005 - 2016.

The article discusses the issues concerning forwarding. Presents the responsibilities of the international freight forwarder in the context of foreign trade, the process of forwarding. They have raised the legal aspects that allow you to make international road haulage. Discussed key issues concerning the principle of transport and freight charges. On the basis of the operation of the enterprise. examined through the analysis of SWOT / TOWS business environment and analyzes the services of the transport process in the context of international agreements.

The article represents the next part of the periodical publications of the Department of Economic Research in the field of cost analysis of the Polish international freight transport companies. It summarises and makes comparative assessments of the average unit costs of these companies for 2019 in relation to the results of the previous period. The survey involved both, the carriers operating on the eastern markets and in the European Union countries. The article presents statistical characteristics of the companies surveyed, taking into account their size, determined, based on the number of the fleet’s heavy goods vehicles being operated. It also shows how the average costs of a single vehicle-kilometre (veh-km) of mileage, for a truck above 12.0 Mg GVW are shaped, according to the size of the companies and taking into account the direction of transport (EU countries). The generic structure of the costs of the companies examined has been analysed. The evolution of unit costs for both 2019 and the whole period 2009-2018 were presented in tabular and graphic form.
Artykuł stanowi kolejną cześć cyklicznych publikacji Zakładu Badań Ekonomicznych ITS w zakresie analizy kosztów polskich przedsiębiorstwach międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego. Dokonano w nim zestawienia i oceny porównawczej średnich kosztów jednostkowych przewoźników za 2019 rok w odniesieniu do ich wyników z lat ubiegłych. Badaniem objęto zarówno przedsiębiorstwa obsługujące rynki wschodnie, jak i państw Unii Europejskiej. Przedstawiono charakterystykę statystyczną badanych podmiotów, z uwzględnieniem ich wielkości, określonej na podstawie liczebności eksploatowanej floty pojazdów ciężarowych. Pokazano również, jak kształtują się średnie koszty jednego wozokilometra (wozokm) przebiegu dla samochodu ciężarowego powyżej 12 Mg dmc, według wielkości przedsiębiorstw oraz z uwzględnieniem kierunku przewozu (rynki UE). Analizie poddano również strukturę rodzajową kosztów badanych przedsiębiorstw. Changes in the numbers of international freight transport enterprises in Poland and the numbers of vehicles fleet in these enterprises in the years 2004 - 2014. The number of licenses and excerpts from the licenses of companies engaged in domestic transport at the end of 2014. The haulage work of the freight carrying fleet above 3.5 Mg GVW in the international and domestic transport. The haulage work of the Polish international freight transport against the background of respective work in other EU countries. The article represents next part of the cyclical publications of the Department of Economic Research and Transport accessibility in the field of cost analysis of the Polish international freight transport companies. It made a comparative assessment of the average unit costs of international carriers incurred in 2021 in relation to the results from previous years. The study covered enterprises serving Eastern markets and the European Union (EU). The statistical characteristics of the surveyed entities are presented, taking into account their size, determined based on the size of the fleet of trucks operated. It also shows the average costs of one vehicle-kilometre (vehicle-km) of mileage for a truck over 12 Mg GVM, depending on the size of the enterprise and taking into account the direction of transport. The generic cost structure of the surveyed carriers was also analysed. The development of unit costs in 2021 in relation to the period 2009-2020 is presented in tabular and graphic form. A summary of the evaluation of the impact of external factors on the functioning of the sector, from the carriers’ perspective, was also presented. The study was conducted based on the questionnaires completed by carriers associated with (ZMPD) Association of International Road Carriers.
Artykuł stanowi najnowszą cześć cyklicznych publikacji Pracowni Ekonomiki i Dostępności Transportu w zakresie analizy kosztów polskich przedsiębiorstwach międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego. Dokonano w nim oceny porównawczej średnich kosztów jednostkowych przewoźników międzynarodowych poniesionych w 2021 roku w odniesieniu do wyników z poprzednich lat. Badaniem objęto przedsiębiorstwa obsługujące rynki wschodnie, jak i Unii Europejskiej (UE). Przedstawiono charakterystykę statystyczną badanych podmiotów, z uwzględnieniem ich wielkości, określonej na podstawie liczebności eksploatowanej floty pojazdów ciężarowych. Pokazano również, jak kształtują się średnie koszty jednego wozokilometra (wozokm) przebiegu dla samochodu ciężarowego powyżej 12 Mg DMC, w zależności od wielkości przedsiębiorstwa oraz z uwzględnieniem kierunku przewozu. Analizie poddano również strukturę rodzajową kosztów badanych przewoźników. Przedstawiono w formie tabelarycznej i graficznej kształtowanie się kosztów jednostkowych w 2021 roku w odniesieniu do okresu 2009-2020. Przedstawiono również podsumowanie oceny wpływu czynników zewnętrznych na funkcjonowanie sektora, z perspektywy przewoźników. Badanie prowadzono na podstawie ankiet wypełnionych przez przewoźników zrzeszonych w ZMPD.

The article is the next part of the cyclical publications of the Department of Economic Research in the field of cost analysis of the Polish international freight transport companies. It summarises and comparative assessments of the average unit costs of these companies for 2020 in relation to the results of the previous period. The survey involved both carriers operating on the eastern markets and in the European Union countries. The article presents the statistical characteristics of the undertakings surveyed, taking into account their size, determined on the basis of the number of the fleet of heavy goods vehicles operated. It also shows how the average costs of a single hauler (haul meter) for a truck above 12.0 Mg GVW are shaped, according to the size of the companies and taking into account the direction of transport (eastern markets, EU). The generic structure of the costs of the companies examined has been restructured. Presented in tabular and graphic form the evolution of unit costs for both 2020 and the whole period 2009-2020.
Artykuł stanowi kolejną cześć cyklicznych publikacji Pracowni Ekonomiki i Dostępności Transportu (dawnego Zakładu Badań Ekonomicznych) w zakresie analizy kosztów polskich przedsiębiorstwach międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego. W artykule omówiono rozwój polskiego sektora międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego od 2005 r. Przedstawiono kształtowanie się wielkości pracy przewozowej według typów przewozów oraz jej udział w rynku europejskim w 2016 r. Zaprezentowano średnie koszty 1 wozokilometra przebiegu i jednostkowe koszty rodzajowe w 2016 r. według grup wielkości zbadanych firm oraz średnie koszty jednostkowe w latach 2009 – 2016 ogółem i według wyspecyfikowanych rodzajów kosztów, a także strukturę rodzajową średnich kosztów 1 wozokilometra przebiegu w 2016 r.
The article discusses development of the Polish sector of the international freight transport since 2005. Shaping of the haulage work arranged by type of transport and its share in the European market in 2016 has been shown. The figures characterizing the number of international transport companies in Poland and the number of trucks used by them are given. The selected features of enterprises participating in unit cost studies conducted by ITS were characterized. The average costs of 1 vehicle-kilometre of the mileage and generic unit cost in 2016 were presented according to the size groups of the surveyed companies and average unit costs in 2009-2016 in total as well as according to the specified types of costs and the generic structure of average costs of 1 vehicle-kilometre of mileage in 2016.

This article is about the integration idea of rail and road long-distance transport to increase the efficiency of the transport chain. The article compared two transport models - conventional (using road transport) and intermodal transport (using road and rail transport). The proposed intermodal model uses the Container Transport System for freight transport in relation: consolidation point (company) – container terminal – rail transport – container terminal – deconsolidation point and radial transport system of road transport to ensure door-to-door delivery. The model was examined to optimize cost, time, capacity and environmental factors. Moreover, in the article the main features of both models were identified and compared. Freight rates and the prices given in the article are consistent with the actual rates charged by carriers, but they are not an offer.
