The content of the article was created during the search for justification for, stated in the subject literature, the need for the existence of an integrated (trans-disciplinary) science about humans; this need to gather existing knowledge which allows for a comprehensive and holistic understanding about an individual, their essence (both humans and their humanity) and their activity encouraging the education of a person ready to take responsibility for the quality of their life resulting from reflection and understanding. Bringing up self-aware and thinking people, who realize themselves in their personal, professional and social life, who are responsible for themselves, others, and the world around them. The aim of the conducted analysis was also to search for a common language (common categories and meanings) of researchers from various scientific fields (philosophy, anthropology, sociology, pedagogy, physics, law, history, mathematics and others) and various cultures concerned about their existence, and thus about the existence of an individual and their humanity.

In the perspective of humanistic pedagogy, humanistic education at school is more than just teaching humanities. Humanistic pedagogy, without denying the standardization of school education, postulates taking into account its existential dimension. Self-understanding, reading the meanings and values of various life forms as well as their interpretation and internalization should become important elements of education. This understanding of the didactic process results from the humanistic concept of man. According to this approach, a human being is not only an empirical being, but also a significant being. Understanding was adopted as the basic epistemological and ontological category of the humanities and education in the field of humanities.
W perspektywie pedagogiki humanistycznej kształcenie humanistyczne w szkole jest czymś więcej aniżeli tylko nauczaniem przedmiotów humanistycznych. Pedagogika humanistyczna, nie negując standaryzacji kształcenia szkolnego, postuluje uwzględnienie wymiaru egzystencjalnego nauczania w szkole. Istotnymi elementami kształcenia powinny stać się samorozumienie, odczytywanie sensów i wartości różnych form życia oraz ich interpretacja i uwewnętrznienie. Takie rozumienie procesu dydaktycznego wynika z humanistycznej koncepcji człowieka. W takim ujęciu byt ludzki nie jest tylko bytem empirycznym, lecz także bytem znaczącym. W artykule przyjęto rozumienie za podstawową kategorię epistemologiczną i ontologiczną nauk humanistycznych i kształcenia humanistycznego.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: This article is intended as a contribution to discussion on the role of music philosophy in educating contemporary participants in the world of culture. From a broader perspective, it fosters reflection on the condition of the humanities today. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS:The author makes use of traditional literary studies, employing, as a music philosopher, a speculative method and availing herself of the tools of analytical philosophy; she also refers to the empirical experiences of musicians and listeners. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The argumentation is based on metacritical analysis of the subject literature within the scope of trends and challenges in music philosophy. The author considers the possibility of educating sensitive and active receivers of classical music. She invokes the reflection of the philosopher Peter Kivy in light of the discussion carried on with him by James O. Young and Jerrold Levinson. Irrespective of their differences of opinion, these philosophers all emphasised the role of the aesthetic education of the listener. The author highlights points on which the philosophers’ dispute is merely superficial. RESEARCH RESULTS: The subject literature is dominated by the analytical model. This results partly from the obligation to imitate the sciences that weighs upon the humanities and also from subjecting the results of humanistic reflection to processes of parametrisation. Music philosophy and musicology are increasingly divorced from live experience and are turning into elite disciplines, reserved solely for a narrow group of specialists. Therefore, we should aspire to specifying how the academic goals of music-related study can be reconciled with the mission of disseminating the culture of listening to music and understanding it. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The idea of interdisciplinary reflection on the experiencing of music should be promoted among scholars (musicologists and music philosophers).

The purpose of the article is to expose the child as a separate category in the context of the idea of humanistic education. This is because the issue is insufficiently developed in the literature on the subject. Meanwhile, historical studies show that the beginning of systematic scientific reflection on the child and childhood did not appear until the mid-nineteenth century. In the past, the child's world complemented the adult world. The child was deprived of his own rights, did not have the freedom to decide on important areas of life (education, profession), for a long time remained at the very bottom of the social hierarchy.                     Hence because of the rapid liberalization of the child's position and objective treatment by adults, up to the limits of appropriation of childhood, it is desirable to refer to the category of childhood seen from the perspective of the idea of humanistic education. Humanistic education, in fact, cares for the defense of man "against such an ideological organization of life that could lead to the killing and trampling of the human person".  
    Celem artykułu jest wyeksponowanie dziecka jako odrębnej kategorii w kontekście idei wychowania humanistycznego. Jest to bowiem zagadnienie niewystarczająco opracowane w literaturze przedmiotu.  Tymczasem z historycznych opracowań wynika, że początek systematycznej refleksji naukowej nad dzieckiem i dzieciństwem pojawił się dopiero w połowie XIX wieku.  W przeszłości świat dziecka stanowił uzupełnienie świata dorosłych. Dziecko było pozbawione własnych praw, nie posiadało swobody decydowania o istotnych obszarach życia (wykształcenie, zawód), przez długi okres pozostawało na samym dnie hierarchii społecznej. Stąd też w rzeczywistości  gwałtownej liberalizacji pozycji dziecka i przedmiotowego traktowania  przez dorosłych, aż do granic zawłaszczenia dzieciństwa, jest  pożądane odwołanie się do kategorii dzieciństwa postrzeganego z perspektywy idei wychowania humanistycznego. Wychowanie humanistyczne bowiem dba o obronę człowieka „przed taką ideologiczną organizacją życia, która mogłaby prowadzić do uśmiercenia i podeptania osoby ludzkiej”.

Humanistic management may be among the latest buzzwords, but the older generation maintains that it knew all about it all along. Some of them had practised it at the workplace. It is all about workplace dignity. By giving it a fancy name, Generation Z is only reinventing the wheel. Upon interaction with the respondents selected for the study, the researcher concludes that humanistic management can help reduce attrition and raise employee productivity. As a result, the employer can become more price-competitive and quality-competitive at the workplace. Thus, the outcome is a virtuous cycle of enhanced productivity, enhanced competitiveness and reduced training costs. But what piqued the curiosity of the researcher was why, to this day, humanistic management remains an exception and not the rule, across the employer community. This is because employers placed more faith in authoritative managers than in individual workers and group dynamics. They ignored interpersonal relationships. They failed to acknowledge the value of dignity in the economics and management space! This amounts to being wise to the penny and foolish to the pound. At best, it may lead the employee to churn out products at the same dreary pace for the rest of his/her work life. For all one knows, the employee concerned may be capable of delivering more but no thanks to absence of humanistic management, the employee concerned is seldom motivated to excel himself/herself at the workplace. Humanistic management dispels the notion that productivity level is the same across employees.

The article analyzes the problem of the absence of religious studies in Polish school education. The first part explains the status of religious studies as a discipline. Philosophical concepts have always been closely related to the development of basic sciences. For example, great mathematical theories put forth at the turn of the century, and general theory of relativity were crucial for the advancement of physical sciences and at the same time had a great impact on the formation of a new science philosophy. They also initiated a new era of exploring the Universe, thus opening many issues in the fields of astrophysics and astronomy. In biology, the theory of evolution has greatly impacted the understanding of such fundamental issues as the origin of living species and the occurrence of the phenomenon of life on Earth. Another breakthrough in life sciences was a result of the progress in molecular biology which concerned sequencing genomes and modification of genetic resources of living organisms. These great achievements have led to formation of several new fields of life sciences such as: synthetic biology, systemic biology as well as personalized medicine.

This text expands on the essence of Cicero’s humanistic pedagogy. The article consists of four parts: the introduction focuses on pedagogical connotation of the humanitas concept and connection of this term to the Greek φιλανθρωπία and παιδεία found in Cicero, the following two parts are devoted to Cicero’s own analysis of the features of humanitas as regards the process and result of education and the concluding part emphasises the point that Cicero himself used the word humanitas to describe an education-based life practice of an individual. Freedom as a subject of academic research in psychology has always been confined to a space regarded as difficult to explore. Since the beginning of psychology as a branch of science the discussion of freedom has been largely absent or fragmented. This is mainly due to the lack of agreement on the most appropriate method of examination of different phenomena. The adoption of a specific repertoire of methodological and philosophical assumptions has ignited interest in the topic and issues of freedom. The history of freedom being present in psychology is an ongoing struggle between different paradigms regarding the nature of this subject and its associated methods of examination.

Increasing requirements in the field of monitoring the impact of machines contributes to the analysis of production processes in order to verify their environmental loads. The research carried out in this area is aimed at identifying the negative impact of the tested object to be able to introduce changes in the consumption of raw materials and energy while limiting the negative impact on the environment. The article will present the results of the life cycle assessment (LCA) of the process of mass, thermo-shrinkable packaging of beverage bags depending on the change in the way the packaging machine is powered. In addition, as part of the analysis, it was indicated which stage of the process has the biggest negative impact on the environment. LCA results are presented at the stage of endpoint characterization.
