    Opis:
    Scharakteryzowano system energetyczno-napędowy i technologiczny (SENiT) jednostek rybackich. Dokonano ogólnej charakterystyki metody dekompozycji możliwej do zastosowania przy szacowaniu gotowości systemu energetyczno-napędowego i technologicznego jednostek rybackich. Zaprezentowano uzyskane wyniki szacowania gotowości dla następujących stanów pracy jednostki rybackiej: podróż morska, wydawanie i wybieranie sieci, operacja trałowania, poławianie w dryfie lub postój w porcie.
    The power-propulsion and technological system (PPTS) of fishing vessels will be characterized. The decomposition method will be described in terms of its use for the estimation of fishing vessel PPTS availability. The results of availability estimation will be presented for the following modes of fishing vessel operation: sea passage, running out and hauling in nets, trawling operation, drift fishing or stay at a port.

    The paper presents an analysis of technologies usable at fishing vessels which ensure that fuel consumption by their power systems is reduced as well as the emission of exhaust gases. During the analysis the specificity of operational activities for fishing vessels and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements have been taken into consideration. Energy saving technological, operational and logistic activities have been discussed. Forecast savings regarding fuel consumption upon application of technological innovations at fishing vessels have been presented.

    The paper presents theoretical analysis of risk assessment of environmental pollution resulting from oil management in the Baltic Sea fishing fleet. Risk assessment is an integral part of safety management, including the environmentally safe operation of vessels. The number of fishing vessels in Polish ports has also been presented. The probability and severity of accidents that could occur has been included as well – based on authors’ experience.

    During of the political and economical transformation in Poland in the 1990s the optimal fishing vessel was developed for fishing in the Baltic Sea. The vessel was tested with respect to its exploitation and fishing capabilities. The ship is intended for research purposes but simultaneously can be utilized as a typical fishing vessel on the Baltic Sea. Construction and exploitation parameters were presented in this text.

    The paper presents an analysis of ecological aspects of oil management in the Baltic Sea fishing fleet based on studies held as part of the project Operational Programme “Sustainable Development of the Fisheries Sector and Coastal Fishing Areas 2007–2013”. There have been proposed algorithms to the preliminary estimation of oils consumption in the fishing vessel fleet, the amount of harmful substances emitted into the atmosphere, the amount of used oils reaching the boat bilges, the quantity of hydraulic used on fishing craft.

    Scientists of the Institute of Technical Operation of Marine Power Plants, Maritime University of Szczecin, are doing research on "Fishing Craft Modernisation Program for the Reduction of Power Consumption and the Minimisation of Environmental Impact" funded by an EU grant OR 16-61535-OR -1600006/06. The first step to reach the final aim - the reduction of the adverse effects of fishing craft on the marine environment - was to identify the age/size characteristics and distribution of Polish fishing vessels. This has enabled the preparation of the range and method of the record keeping of fishing vessels' power systems.
    Pracownicy Instytutu Technicznej Eksploatacji Siłowni Okrętowych Akademii Morskiej w Szczecinie wykonują pracę badawczą "Program modernizacji jednostek rybackich w aspekcie zmniejszenia nakładów energetycznych i oddziaływania na środowisko" w ramach grantu UE. W artykule przedstawiono zebrane i opracowane materiały dotyczące struktury polskich jednostek rybackich, eksploatowanych w oparciu o polskie porty. Analiza była podstawą do opracowania "Karty ewidencji jednostki".

    In this paper, application of the computational fluid dynamics has been presented in the process of design natural ventilation system for the fishing vessel. There are two main types of ventilation systems: natural ventilation which is used on small fishing vessels and sport craft boatsand, and forced ventilation. This type of ventilation is a common solution on all types of merchant ships. In this paper, solution of the velocity filed in the cargo hold space of the fishing vessel had been presented. Natural ventilation system has been validated using the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). All calculations had been performed in the free CFD software called OpenFOAM.

    W artykule przedstawiono autorski program komputerowy umożliwiający wykonywanie obliczeń wskaźników ekonomicznych inwestycji na jednostkach rybackich. Procedury obliczeniowe opracowano z wykorzystaniem danych literaturowych oraz metodyki dostosowanej o specyfiki jednostek polskiej floty rybackiej. Dane niezbędne do obliczeń i analiz pochodzą z wyniku finansowego, bilansu oraz danych zewnętrznych. Mogą być wprowadzane przez armatorów i być gromadzone w bazie danych stanowiącej integralną część programu komputerowego. Obliczenia można wykonywać z wykorzystaniem danych uzyskanych podczas eksploatacji kutrów w celu uzyskania wartości rzeczywistych wskaźników ekonomicznych jednostki, jak również symulować i sprawdzać nowe warianty rozwiązań finansowania i opłacalności eksploatacji jednostek rybackich.
    The paper presents a proprietary software due to which it is possible to calculate economic indicators for investments at fishing vessels. The calculation process has been developed by the application of literature data and methodology adapted to the specificity of the Polish fishing fleet vessels. The data that is required for calculation and analysis are fed from the financial result, balance sheet and external data. They may be entered by shipowners. The may also be gathered in a database which is an integral part of the software. The calculation may be performed using data obtained during vessels operations in order to obtain the actual results of economic indicators for particular vessels as well as in order to simulate and seek for new options for financial solutions and profitability of fishing vessels operation.

    Opis:
    Hull resistance and propulsion calculations are the basis of every ship design. In this paper, application of the computational fluid dynamics are presented together with the results of towing resistance of the model of stern trawler. The practical use of CFD in the preliminary vessels' design process were presented at the stern trawler vessel type.All calculations had been performed in the free CFD software called OpenFOAM. This is set of C++ programming language libraries, designed to solve Navier-Stokes equations.

    The paper presents sample calculations concerning the assessment of the vulnerability to pure loss of stability of a fishing vessel. Calculations were performed for level 1 and level 2 of the method under consideration. In the summary the author discusses the results of calculations. The paper describes the results method for assessment of the stability criteria for a fishing vessel. Calculations were performed by software MAXSURF after the implementation of the algorithm. The result of the calculation are measure the phenomenon criteria of pure loss of stability of a fishing vessel.

    An analysis of the failures occurring in the energetic systems of Polish fishing cutters, covering the years 1999–2012, is presented in this paper.The structural age, size and number of Polish fishing cutters is also indi- cated herein. The eff ect of the failures on the marine environment has been assessed, taking into consideration a presumed fuel spillage depending on fish catch volume and an analysis of the biodegradability of various fuels. The subject of the analysis also includes the damage impact of transponders cooperating with a vessel monitoring system (VMS) on an increase of the risk of collisions between other off shore industry objects and fishing vessels.
