    Il testo si propone di analizzare le modalità di funzionamento dei sistemi descrittivi nei Salons di Diderot. Recuperando il fitto reticolo di definizioni operative messe a punto da Philippe Hamon nel noto testo Du descriptif, il nostro studio sviluppa una serie di analisi finalizzate a mettere in luce la distanza della prassi descrittiva di Diderot rispetto alle enunciazioni teoriche della trattatistica retorica a lui anteriore o coeva, puntando l’attenzione soprattutto su un uso assolutamente originale del pantonimo all’interno dei Salons.
    The text aims to analyse how the descriptive systems work in the Salons of Diderot. Retrieving the dense network of operational definitions developed by Philippe Hamon in the well-known text Du descriptif, our study develops a series of analyses aimed at highlighting the distance of Diderot’s descriptive practice with respect to the theoretical statements of the rhetorical treatise before him or coeval, focusing above all on an absolutely original use of the pantonyme within the Salons.

    Opis:
    The paper depicts the evolution (and studies its ground and motivation) of the conception of the method of analytical description of Czeżowski, one of the most important figures of the Lvov-Warsaw School of Philosophy. It portrays Czeżowski as an author, whose voice on relation between theory and experience, as well as language and empirical reality, can be still considered important and significant. Generally speaking, Czeżowski distinguishes between two kinds of methods: the inductive ones and the no inductive, i.e. the method of analytic description. The results of the former are the base of every further scientific activity, from the empirical sciences to philosophy. The method serves, first of all, to define abstract concepts and to precise scientific terms, what allow next to set and to express relations between them. Its application is an indispensable and essential part of process of building every abstract scientific theory.Despite some similarities between Czeżowski’s method and other methods of conceptual analysis, the former is not subjected to the paradox of analysis (what is shown), according to the author of the paper.

    Opis:
    This paper provides a sociologists’ reflection of a sociologist on qualitative field research. Reflections will include some methodological and epistemological considerations that are connected with field work, while building the realness of the description and conclusions, i.e. constructing the quality of qualitative research. The intellectual process of doing research will be characterized by analysis of: description of investigated reality (tales of the field), analytical process, usage of commonsense research procedures (so called triangulation procedures), which are used in the field by the researcher and during analysis or writing a research report to adequately “re – present” researched reality. The three above mentioned stages of representation of reality are interwoven to create one complex intellectual process, which is called “field research”. The quality of qualitative research is the intellectual process where some procedures are used to create the accountability of research conclusions.
