    This paper deals with the reality of North Korea’s education and its middle school education. North Korea still maintains its own curtain and remains isolated from the rest of the world. For that reason, it is very difficult for an individual researcher to get closer to the reality of North Korea’s education. To overcome the limitation, this article actively utilizes a means- interview with defectors who live in South Korea. To understand the current situation of North Korean education, the author interviewed 38 students. It is very useful in order to know the reality that cannot be accessed in the official way. This article firstly examines the general goals of North Korean education and the characteristics of the school curriculum. Next, this paper describes the features of North Korea’s middle school students’ life. Through examining the educational situation of North Korea, the principles of North Korean education have been revealed as fostering newly developed communists. Furthermore, it is a principle that the texts included in North Korea’s national language textbooks should stick to the communist partisanship and reflect socialist patriotism.

    Opis:
    The central party organs dealt with all issues of the internal and foreign policy of the republic, led the national economy, public organizations, and personnel policy. Therefore, the documents of the ‘special folders’ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) Kazakhstan reflect various spheres of the life of the republic, which for a long time were not available to researchers due to the highest secrecy stamp imposed. The article deals with one of such areas of the problem – the settlement of Kazakh repatriates and representatives of other nationalities from China, who left during the civil war, collectivization, famine and repressions, who, unable to withstand the attitude of local residents and the persecution of the authorities of the country, republic or regions to which they moved, returned back to Kazakhstan. The ways of solving problems related to their settlement in Soviet farms, organization of trade with them, their cultural services, medical care, their resettlement, maintenance and veterinary services for their livestock are analyzed. Authors describes the reasons and measures to prevent the mass return of "nomads" back to China, despite all the decisions taken, the measures taken by the leadership of the republic in connection with the gaps made by some representatives of local authorities during their placement.

    Although South Korea and North Korea have shared a common national and cultural heritage for thousands of years, they have become de facto stranger to each other in the last few decades. They differ not only in a different political and economic system, but also in the mentality and lifestyle of ordinary citizens, and in language. Since the 1990s, the number of North Korean defectors has increased. Those who decide to escape to South Korea encounter many problems in their new homeland. The aims of this article is to present the main adaptation problems faced by North Korean defectors, such as trauma, discrimination and problems with assimilation in South Korean society. There are also shown the examples of how to overcome or reduce them, as well as what support from the South Korean authorities looks like.
    Хотя Южная Корея и Северная Корея имеют общее национальное и культурное наследие, которое формировалось на протяжении тысячелетий, за последние несколько десятилетий они фактически стали чужими друг другу. Оба государства отличаются не только политической и экономической системой, но и менталитетом, и образом жизни обычных граждан, а также языком. С 1990-х годов количество перебежчиков из Северной Кореи увеличилось. Те, кто решается бежать в Южную Корею, сталкиваются со множеством проблем на своей новой родине. Цель данной статьи - представить основные проблемы адаптации, с которыми сталкиваются перебежчики из Северной Кореи, такими как травмы, дискриминация и проблемы с ассимиляцией в южнокорейском обществе. Также показаны примеры преодоления таких препятствий и то, как выглядит поддержка со стороны властей Южной Кореи.

    Zabójstwa, porwania czy operacje o charakterze dywersyjnym należą do najbardziej sensacyjnych wątków związanych z aktywnością służb wywiadowczych PRL. W artykule zostały przedstawione przykłady przeprowadzonych oraz planowanych przez Departament I MSW „działań specjalnych” tego rodzaju. Choć nie było ich zbyt dużo, dają one ogólny obraz, w jaki sposób je organizowano i jak przebiegły lub miały przebiegać. W części końcowej opublikowany został dokument pt. Stosunek polskiego prawa karnego wobec osób, które dokonały likwidacji zdrajcy Ojczyzny, opracowany w połowie lat sześćdziesiątych w Departamencie I MSW.
    Assassinations, kidnappings and sabotage operations are among the most sensational topics related to the activity of the intelligence services of the People’s Republic of Poland. The article presents examples of ‘special operations’ of this kind carried out and planned by Department I of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Although there were not many of them, they give a general picture of how they were organised and how they went or were supposed to go. In the appendix, there is published a document entitled Stosunek polskiego prawa karnego wobec osób, które dokonały likwidacji zdrajcy Ojczyzny [The Attitude of the Polish Criminal Law Towards People Who Liquidated Traitors of the Homeland], prepared in the mid-1960s in the Department I of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
