    Jezus, otoczony w Galilei przez tłumy ludzi, doświadcza w stołecznej Jerozolimie radykalnej obcości. Po dokonaniu profetyczno-mesjańskiego czynu w świątyni (wywrócenia stołów przekupniów) ściąga na siebie wrogość władz żydowskich, które podejmują kroki prowadzące do Jego zgładzenia. Jezus odbierany jest w Jerozolimie jako heretyk, który rzekomo naruszył integralność judaizmu i w ten sposób sam wyalienował się z tej religii. Władze żydowskie nie są bowiem w stanie zaakceptować Boskiej tożsamości Jezusa, zamykając się tym samym na dokonanie się w Nim pełni Objawienia, czyli przekształcenia się judaizmu biblijnego w chrześcijaństwo.
    In Jerusalem, Jesus, earlier followed by crowds of people in Galilea, experiences the feeling of radical estrangement. After the prophetic and messianic act (of overturning the tables of the money changers and the benches of sellers) which he performed in the temple he is approached by the Jewish authorities with hostility, and the plot to kill him is begun. In Jerusalem, Jesus is perceived as a heretic who has allegedly violated the integrity of Judaism, thus having alienated himself from that religion. The Jewish authorities are incapable of accepting the divine nature of Jesus and ignore the fact that the Revelation has been fully accomplished in him. Therefore they render themselves unable to witness the transformation of biblical Judaism into Christianity. Translated by Dorota Chabrajska

    Opis:
    Fundamental theology as a discipline and academic center conducting research as well as didactic and organizational activity has existed at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin since its beginning, first as the Department of Fundamental Theology (1918–20), then the Section of Fundamental Theology (1920–99), and since 1999 as the Institute of Fundamental Theology. As it developed, the center began to take the form of a scientific school, the Lublin School of Fundamental Theology. Its foundations were laid by Rev. Edward Kopeć. Subsequently, it was developed by, among others, Rev. Stanisław Nagy, Rev. Romuald Łukaszyk, Rev. Henryk Zimoń (religious scholar), and especially by Rev. Marian Rusecki (a student of Rev. E. Kopeć), the main co-founder of the school and its most prolific author, whose scientific achievements are the department’s showcase and have influenced contemporary Polish fundamental theology. During his time, especially at the beginning of the 21st century, the school reported its greatest scientific and organizational achievements. Currently, it is continually being developed by Rev. M. Rusecki’s students who work at the Institute of Fundamental Theology and its graduates working in other centers. This article presents the scientific characteristics (historical outline, features and main trends) of the Lublin School of Fundamental Theology (Section 1) and its most important achievements (Section 2): the main publications, organizational achievements as well as national and international cooperation.

    Teologia fundamentalna, jako dyscyplina i ośrodek akademicki prowadzący działalność naukowo-badawczą, dydaktyczną i organizacyjną, istnieje w KUL od jego początku, najpierw jako Katedra Teologii Fundamentalnej (1918-20), potem Sekcja Teologii Fundamentalnej (1920-99), a od 1999 Instytut Teologii Fundamentalnej. W trakcie rozwoju ośrodek ten zaczął przybierać kształt szkoły naukowej – lubelskiej szkoły teologii fundamentalnej. Jej podwaliny położył ks. Edward Kopeć. Potem rozwijali ją m.in. ks. Stanisław Nagy, ks. Romuald Łukaszyk, religioznawca ks. Henryk Zimoń, a zwłaszcza ks. Marian Rusecki (uczeń ks. Kopcia) – główny współtwórca szkoły i jej najpłodniejszy autor, którego naukowe dokonania są wizytówką szkoły i oddziałują na współczesną polską teologię fundamentalną. Za jego czasów, zwłaszcza od początku XXI w., szkoła odnotowała najwięcej najbardziej znaczących dokonań naukowych i organizacyjnych. Aktualnie starają się ją rozwijać uczniowie ks. Ruseckiego pracujący w Instytucie Teologii Fundamentalnej KUL, a także jej absolwenci pracujący w innych ośrodkach. W niniejszym artykule została przedstawiona naukowa charakterystyka (rys historyczny, cechy i główne nurty badawcze) lubelskiej szkoły teologii fundamentalnej (punkt 1) oraz jej najważniejsze osiągnięcia (punkt 2): główne publikacje, osiągnięcia organizacyjne oraz współpraca krajowa i międzynarodowa.     J. Ratzinger-Benedict XVI relates theological cognition to following Jesus and going in His footsteps. He emphasizes the inseparable, mutual, servant-like relationship between academic theology and Christian praxis, Christological hermeneutics with the existential basis of faith. Intellectual and spiritual understanding of the mystery of Jesus depends on intimacy with Him and grows on this path: only the Son can show the Father because he knows Him in a way that defines his existence as the Son. The eternal inter-Trinitarian conversation with the Father – the prayer of the Son, His sonship-obedience – finds its corporal expression in history, and the humanity of Jesus, whose culmination is the cross, remains His prayer. The earthly life, and finally the Passover of Jesus, introduces into the human, vague concept of God the experience of the loving Father, thus making the course of history definitively meaningful and fulfilling, and the faith legitimate. Ratzinger defends Christology as a conceptual understanding of the truth of the Gospel, the depth and integrity of which Christology guards and to which it refers. Disregarding in faith the cognitive achievements and heritage of systematic theology leads to depriving faith of its most important contents, without which it starts to look in the dark for justifications which are subjective as well as fuzzy.

    The article explores how Personalist Philosophy can be helpful for Theology by focusing on the concrete topic of the body. The renewed philosophical interest in the body is important for Christian Theology inasmuch as the latter is centered on the concreteness of the Incarnation. The article follows Gabriel Marcel’s approach as a guideline to review the understanding of the body proper to Personalism. In this approach, the body is seen as the person’s relational presence in the world and among others and as the openness of the person towards transcendence. The richness of this approach is explored in three important areas of dogmatic theology: Christology, Sacramentology, and the Theology of Creation. The article exemplifies the circularity between Philosophy and Theology in the concrete topic of the body.
    Artykuł ukazuje, w jaki sposób filozofia personalistyczna może być pomocna dla teologii poprzez swoją koncentrację na temacie ludzkiego ciała. Zainteresowanie współczesnej filozofii ciałem jest dla teologii chrześcijańskiej ważne o tyle, że ta ostatnia koncentruje się przecież na misterium wcielenia. Artykuł podąża za myślą Gabriela Marcela, by ukazać charakterystyczną dla personalizmu interpretację ludzkiej cielesności. W tym podejściu ciało jest widziane jako relacyjna obecność w świecie i pośród innych ludzi oraz jako otwarcie osoby na transcendencję. Bogactwo tej perspektywy zostaje ukazane w artykule na trzech płaszczyznach teologii dogmatycznej: chrystologicznej, sakramentologicznej i protologicznej. Tym samym dowiedziona zostaje korelacja pomiędzy myślą filozoficzną a teologiczną w podejściu do tematu ciała.

    The aim of this article is to show the achievements of the Lublin School of Fundamental Theology in the field of Christology. The first part of this article presents a short outline of Christological research, with the simultaneous focus on the most important scientific publications of the Lublin centre in the field of Christology. The second part discusses the essential features of the Lublin Fundamental Christology.
