Opis:: Od wielu lat informacje o położeniu ruchomych obiektów transportowych (pojazdy samochodowe lokomotywy pociągów) są monitorowane na bazie systemu pozycjonowania GPS i zwrotnej transmisji informacji do centrum sterowania poprzez system GSM/GPRS. Autorzy chcieli zwrócić uwagę na zagrożenia tego typu monitoringu (związane z czynami przestępczymi lub terrorystycznymi) oraz zaproponować istotną poprawę bezpieczeństwa przesyłania i przetwarzania takich informacji poprzez odpowiednie zabezpieczenia kryptograficzne wprowadzone poprzez normy UE w bezpiecznych aplikacjach automatyki kolejowej.
From several years information about positioning of transport objects (cars and locomotives of trains) are monitoring using standard positioning system GPS and GSM/GPRS system for feedback transmission for dispatcher centre. The authors deals with existing threats and attacks for monitored information and proposition for increasing the transmitted and processed information using appropriate cryptographic methods actually used in railway signaling systems.

Opis:: In the paper are presented results of market researches of logistic enterprises in Upper Silesia region which determine the level of implementation of GPS systems in vehicles. The results of that research implied design of GPS-GPRS module to be applied in vehicles as an alternative solution for modules already present on the market.
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań ankietowych przedsiębiorstw transportowo-spedycyjnych, dotyczących stopnia wykorzystania nawigacji satelitarnej GPS w pojazdach. Wyniki tych badań stanowiły bodziec do zaprojektowania modułu GPS z możliwością pakietowej transmisji danych GPRS alternatywnej do produkowanych na rynku.

Opis:: The article presents conception of authors management and monitoring system based on GPS, for application in the transport and land and air communication. This system arises as an answer to demand of local Civil Services, which are member of a crisis management. System purpose is to increase the effectiveness and safeties during salvage actions. In following years the system evolved, allowing its use not only in land conditions but also in the transport and the air lifesaving. Article shows future plans connected with the system development and the extension with ADS-B system (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast).

Opis:: In 2011 ITAM has completed work conducted with WIML's representatives to develop a comprehensive method of psycho-physiological pilots' signals and external environmental parameters during a test flight. It has been assumed that data will be collected "off line" during a training flight and stored in the monitoring module's memory, and after the flight it will be loaded to the operator's station system at the airport. The "On line" transmission of chosen parameters directly into a database and ongoing observation have also been anticipated. One of the main assumptions for the system was its independent work from the avionics systems of aircraft used for training. This has made it possible to use the system regardless the type of aircraft equipment and without having the necessity to stringent criteria of aviation hardware acceptance. The recording system has been designed as a distributed system consists of modules carried by the pilot, those placed permanently in the cockpit of the plane, a station for test flight preparation and reading recorded data, as well as a database system accessible via the Internet. Communication between the various system modules is to employ various transmission systems, wired as well as wireless. For safety reasons wireless communication between modules in the cockpit was not used in flight, with the exception of GSM transmission used to transfer selected data directly to the Central Acquisition System.

Opis:: The paper contains a review and analysis of evolutionary paths of seven most important, from network development strategy point of view, wireless communication systems, especially the WLAN operating according to the IEEE 802.11 standard. With respect to WLAN, trends related to evolution toward mobile network and self organizing network as well as toward integration of WLAN and GSM using GPRS are presented. Concerning WLAN architecture development, evolution paths toward distributed controlled network as well as centrally coordinated and controlled network are described. Moreover, analysis includes cellular mobile radio systems, wireless personal networks, wide area wireless packet data systems, satellite-based mobile systems, paging/messaging systems and cordless telephones. With respect to these systems, general evolution process and trends associated with this process are described.
