With the incomplete probability information, the joint probability distribution modelling and system reliability-based optimization design of structural systems with failure interactions are challenging problems in the domain of reliability. This article is designed to propose a system reliability-based optimization design method for optimizing the scraper chain with multiple failure modes. Firstly, the common failure modes of the scraper chain are analysed. For each failure mode, a reliability model for the failure of scraper chains is obtained. Secondly, aiming at the joint failure probability modelling problem, a method for estimating the failure probability of the scraper chain based on system reliability is proposed. The reliability of scraper chains is calculated by the stochastic perturbation technique and the four-moment method. And then, the optimization design problem is discussed based on system reliability. And the optimal model is established. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified by the illustrative example of scraper chains. The proposed joint failure probability estimation method and design optimization are shown in the example. The results obtained can provide a reference for the optimal design of the scraper chain.
Ze względu na niekompletność danych dotyczących prawdopodobieństwa, modelowanie wspólnego rozkładu prawdopodobieństwa oraz oparte na niezawodności systemu projektowanie optymalizacyjne systemów konstrukcyjnych, w których zachodzą zależności między uszkodzeniami stanowią trudne problemy niezawodnościowe. W artykule zaproponowano metodę optymalizacji konstrukcji łańcucha zgrzebłowego, w której wykorzystuje się obliczenia niezawodności systemu. Ponieważ dla łańcucha tego typu istnieje wiele potencjalnych przyczyn uszkodzeń, w pierwszej kolejności analizowano powszechnie występujące przyczyny uszkodzeń. Dla każdego rodzaju uszkodzenia łańcucha otrzymano model niezawodnościowy. Następnie, mając na uwadze problem modelowania wspólnego rozkładu prawdopodobieństwa uszkodzeń, zaproponowano metodę szacowania prawdopodobieństwa uszkodzenia łańcucha na podstawie niezawodności systemu. Niezawodność łańcuchów zgrzebłowych obliczano za pomocą techniki zaburzeń stochastycznych oraz metody momentu czwartego rzędu. Na podstawie otrzymanej niezawodności systemu, omówiono problem optymalizacji konstrukcji łańcucha oraz wyznaczono model optymalny. Skuteczność proponowanych metod estymacji wspólnego prawdopodobieństwa uszkodzenia i optymalizacji konstrukcji weryfikowano na podstawie przykładu łańcucha zgrzebłowego. Uzyskane wyniki mogą stanowić punkt odniesienia dla optymalnego projektowania łańcuchów zgrzebłowych.

Every year, the production of industrial phosphoric acid generates more than 100 Tg of phosphogypsum (PG), leading to significant environmental damage and the occupation of a vast amount of land space. The urgent need to explore applications for PG has become increasingly apparent. However, impurities such as organic substances, slime, phosphorite, and SiO2 reduce the whiteness of PG, making it difficult to utilize for high-value applications. To address this issue, this study employed a two-stage flotation process to remove the majority of impurities, including SiO2, organic substances, and fine slime adhered to the surface of PG particles. The raw PG sample was first sieved to remove some SiO2 particles. After flotation, sulfuric acid and tributyl phosphate were introduced to decompose the PG particles and remove the impurities wrapped inside. Following this flotation combined extraction process, the whiteness of the PG sample improved from 54.1% to 92.9%, meeting the requirements for building walls and filters.

The rheological property of asphalt is an important factor affecting the pavement performance of asphalt binder, and the fundamental reason for the change of asphalt rheological property is the strong evolution of asphalt material meso structure. However, the internal mechanism of rejuvenated asphalt mastic system is complex and its rules are difficult to grasp. Aiming to study the relationship between meso mechanical parameters and rheological parameters of rejuvenated asphalt mastic, the meso structure model of rejuvenated asphalt mastic was established and improved based on the discrete element method. Moreover, the meso parameters of the model were obtained by the objective function method, and then the influences of various factors were studied to construct the mathematical constitutive model of rheological parameter modulus and meso mechanical parameters. Combing with the reliability of the improved Burgers model was verified based on the rheological test results of rejuvenated asphalt mastic. In addition, the virtual test of dynamic shear rheological dynamic frequency scanning was carried out on the asphalt mastic sample by particle flow software. By adjusting the mesomechanical parameters, the simulation results (complex shear modulus and phase angle) were consistent with the test results. This study clarified the relationship between mesomechanics and macro performance, and this model could be used to obtain the complex shear modulus of rejuvenated asphalt mastic under different types, filler-asphalt ratio and external force environments by adjusting particle flow, wall boundary and other conditions, which can greatly save the workload for the later research and provide a theoretical basis for production experiments.

Ni625/WC composite coatings added with different amounts of Y2O3 were prepared on the surface of 304 stainless steels by laser cladding. This study focused on the microstructure characteristics, microhardness, and corrosion performances of Ni625/WC composite coatings. The results showed that Y2O3 can effectively improve the corrosion resistance of the composite coatings. The microstructure from the bottom to the surface of composite coatings consists of plane crystal, cellular crystal, columnar crystal and equiaxed crystal. The Y2O3 content of optimum composite coating was 1.0%. Its microhardness was three times that of matrix material. In addition, the corrosion current density of the composite coating was only 2% of Ni625/WC coating, which was attributed to the good properties of Y2O3 and appropriate Y2O3 refined microstructure.

Constrained by the micro-space structure, it is proposed to use platinum wire incandescent ignition combustion mode to achieve the operation of internal combustion engine. However, the combustion test of the platinum wire incandescent ignition in miniature piston internal combustion engine shows: the combustion mode of micro-space platinum wire incandescent ignition has a poor combustion characteristic, low heat release rate, long combustion duration, and low combustion pressure. Therefore, a homogenous charge compression ignition mode is proposed to realize the operation of miniature internal combustion engine. However, it is found that the compression combustion cannot be come true in the cold start-up state of the micro engine. And the compression combustion in the first cycle was realized by the way of increasing the temperature of the cylinder block and platinum wire appropriately. The results show that: The maximum heat release rate is obviously improved and the combustion duration shortened by 28.6ºCA, and pmi increased by 76%. So, a novel hybrid combustion mode of in-cylinder compression combustion supported by the platinum wire incandescent ignition is put forward, through the way of adjusting the temperature of platinum wire, and this combustion mode is regarded as the ideal combustion mode of micro reciprocating piston internal combustion engine.

Opis:
In numerically controlled grinding of aeroengine blades, a sharp change in a rotating shaft caused by a singular zone greatly reduces grinding precision and quality. This paper proposes an algorithm to optimize the tool-path that combines optimization of the C-axis rotation angle, a modification to the tool orientation and adjustments to the tool position by taking a four-array machine tool with two rotational axes (B-axis and C-axis) as an example. The algorithm was verified using VERICUT software, furthermore, in machining experiments, the rotation amplitudes of the rotary axis in singular areas was effectively reduced, which ensured grinding quality of blades.

Opis:
Nitrocellulose (NC) with a semi-rigid polymer chain is one of the typical traditional cellulose derivatives. Optimization of its mechanical properties is of great significance for improving the performance of NC-based propellants. The nitrate glycerol ether cellulose (NGEC) was prepared by introducing glycerol onto the unreacted, free hydroxyl groups on NC through a three-step process (alkalization, etherification, and nitration). The effects of both the nitration process and the degree of etherification on the NGEC nitrogen content were qualitatively explored. By adding NGEC into modified double-base propellant, a standard engine grain with a diameter of 50 mm was produced by adsorption, granulation, and screw extrusion. The heat of explosion, and other physical properties of NGEC were characterized and the variation in mechanical properties and performance after storage for 6 years was investigated. The results indicated that the sensitivity was improved, and the stability was slightly decreased on increasing the nitrogen content of NGEC. Compared with NC containing similar nitrogen levels, NGEC exhibited a slightly higher heat of explosion, similar compatibility, and lower sensitivity. Additionally, the solubility of NGEC in ethanol/ether exceeded 99.7%. Through branched-chain chemical modification, the glycerol ether played a significant role in achieving internal plasticization among the cellulose chains.
