Opis:
In India, the population of about eight lacks people who are engaged in riding cycle rickshaw as an occupation. It is an unorganized sector of India. A cycle rickshaw is a modified form of bicycle which is the cheapest mode of transportation for carrying passengers, luggage and goods. Many tasks connected with this occupation are associated with strenuous body postures, and some body movements typical for this job which, when combined with a heavy load, result in frequent work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs).Working postures were analyzed by means of Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) tool and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) tool in order to determine the area of discomfort. The outcome of the research is beneficial for manufactures of cycle rickshaws and similar products well as users of such products, including cycle rickshaw operators. Some suggestions were given to have increase the comfort and safety level.

Opis:
The Indian System of Medicine known as ‘Ayurveda’, had been in use from time immemorial. It was the main system of healthcare in the ancient and medieval period but has presently become a contemporary system today. It has its own principles developed during its peak which formed the basis for stable concepts upon which the whole system has grown and developed. But today due to various political, social, cultural, etc. turmoils that had resulted due to repeated and consistent invasion on India right from the ages for almost 8 centuries have resulted in its fall of status from main system to a contemporary or alternate system. But from the last two decades, the failure of Modern system of medicine to provide safe and desired health status to many people has resulted in retracing their steps towards this science. Today, education system of Ayurveda is far more different from the past methods as it has undergone drastic changes totally. The result of this change has also affected the field and the science too. A question thus emerges as to how far this methodology and understanding will help it to reach the levels and importance that it was in the past with the present system of education. The present chapter is an attempt to give a detailed review of the education system of India and its relative effect with respect to Ayurvedic education.

Opis:
Industrial high-speed rotating machines entail constant and consistent monitoring to prevent downtime, affecting quantity and quality. Complex machines need advanced intelligent fault diagnosis showing minimal errors. This work offers a MATLAB-based fault diagnosis for sugar industry machines. The vibration behavior of physical industrial machines is obtained, and the signals are provided to a MATLAB program to identify the fault. The information helps to suggest remedies to include in the maintenance schedule. The ease and comprehensible nature of the method reduce time and enhance the reliability of condition monitoring for industrial machines.

Opis:
Research background: Despite the large volume of research which has been conducted, the association between corporate governance mechanisms and firm performance remains a controversial issue, particularly with the growth of accounting settings around the world. Purpose of the article: This study assesses the moderating role of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on the association between corporate governance mechanisms and firm performance in selected Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country-listed firms, namely Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and United Arab Emirates over the period 2016–2019. Methods: Importantly, we examine the direct and indirect influences of royal family members on long-term firm performance. We attempt to answer our research questions using robust estimation methods such as pooled OLS, fixed effect, random effect and first difference models. Findings & value added: The outcome reveals a significant and positive impact of firm size and board size on the firm performance in the pooled sample, while there is a significantly negative influence of financial leverage on firm performance. The impact of RFP on FP is seen to be negative and significant while the interaction term is found to be positive and statistically significant. This notably refers to the possibility that royal family directors could play an essential role in influencing the executive management team to fully react to provide extensive voluntary disclosure and comply with IFRS adoption. Our simultaneous quantile regression analysis displays the influence of corporate governance mechanisms on firm performance in various stages. While we observe that IFRS transformation has improved information comparability, policy makes in GCC countries should continue to foster conducive environment to support innovative business practices that help diversify their economies.

Opis:
The objective of the study described the importance of L-asparaginase and its importance in the field of medicine. Different types of enzymes are produced based on the adaptation to the environment where the living organisms live to tune the metabolic pathways according to their adapted changes. The enzymes present in various organs are produced by many cell types in multicellular organisms. Except ribosomes all other known enzymes are proteinaceous in nature. L-asparaginase is a potential therapeutic agent for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and chronic myelogenous leukemia which is approved by FDA & WHO. L-asparaginase catalyzes the deamination of L-asparagine to L-aspartic acid & ammonia. Unlike normal cells, malignant cells require large amount of L-asparagine for protein synthesis and cell division. From this background the present review is an effort to gather the information on the mechanism, sources, molecular details and application of L-asparaginase enzyme.

Fossil fuels plays vital role in the development of the nation. The limitation of the Non-renewable energy required alternative energy sources such as solar, wind energy, hydro energy and biomass energy etc., and these renewable energies are eco-friendly in nature. The study has conducted for the determination of fatty acid profile in Jatropha curcas oil, determination of restriction sites in genomic DNA of Jatropha curcas, comparison of DGAT gene sequence alignment of different plants using Clustal W software. and PCR amplification of DGAT gene. The results confirmed that the solvent extraction produced high quality oil. From the thin layer chromatography plate, the saturated fatty acid like Linoleinic acid (0.14), Palmatic acid (0.38), Stearic acid (0.72), and unsaturated fatty acid like and Oleic acid (0.90) were identified. The genomic DNA was restriction digested with EcoRI, BamHI, PstI, HindIII. The observed that restriction bands for EcoRI was 3 sites and for Hind III was 1 site respectively. The amplification of gene encoding DGAT gene from the genomic DNA was carried out by polymerase chain reaction and also by bioinformatics software and was found to be approximately 2 kb size. Our study makes initial step for altering of the Jatropha seed oil for enhancing the oil content level.

Opis:
In this work, the free vibration behaviour of A357 composite plate reinforced with dual particle size (DPS) (3 wt.% coarse + 3 wt.% fine, 4 wt.% coarse + 2 wt.% fine, and 2 wt.% coarse + 4 wt.% fine) SiC is evaluated using the finite element method. To this end, first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) has been used. The equations of motion have been derived using Hamilton’s principle and the solution has been obtained through condensation technique. A thorough parametric study was conducted to understand the effect of reinforcement size and weight fraction, boundary conditions, aspect ratio and length-to-width ratio of plate geometry on natural frequencies of A357/DPS-SiC composite plates. Results reveal significant influence of all the above variables on natural frequency of the composite plates. In all the cases, A357 composite plate reinforced with 4 wt.% coarse and 2 wt.% fine SiC particles displayed the highest natural frequency owing to its higher elastic and rigidity modulus. Further, the natural frequencies increase with decrease in aspect ratio of the plate geometry. Natural frequency also decreases with increase in the number of free edges. Lastly, increasing the length-to-width ratio drastically improves the natural frequency of the plates.
