    Analiza dotychczasowych badań w aspekcie neurofizjologicznych procesów i rozwoju czynności mówienia wskazuje na występowanie związku pomiędzy ogólnym statusem fizycznym dziecka a jego percypowaniem swojego ciała, w szczególności funkcjami z zakresu małej i dużej motoryki a realizacją głosek. Badania stanowią kontynuację podjętych przez autorów w poprzednim tomie czasopisma rozważań teoretycznych o znaczeniu zdolności percypowania ciała i integracji oraz koordynacji zmysłowo-ruchowej w kontekście rozwijania sprawności realizacyjnych. Celem badań była ocena zróżnicowania i zależności pomiędzy statusem fizycznym, sprawnością funkcjonalną mięśni oddechowych a motoryką artykulacyjną wśród dzieci z ubytkiem słuchu w stopniu znacznym i głębokim (n = 17) po implantacji ślimakowej na tle dzieci słyszących, ale z wadą wymowy (n = 29). Wszyscy badani byli poddawani terapii logopedycznej w Centrum Diagnostyki, Leczenia i Rehabilitacji Zaburzeń Słuchu, Głosu i Mowy w Wojewódzkim Szpitalu Podkarpackim im. Jana Pawła II w Krośnie. Prezentowane wyniki potwierdziły, że motoryka mięśni oddechowych, wyrażona ich sprawnością funkcjonalną, wraz ze zmieniającym się statusem fizycznym dziecka wpływa na stan artykulacji, niezależnie od etiopatogenezy ewentualnych wad w tym zakresie. Poszukiwanie zatem optymalnych sposobów terapii logopedycznej w zakresie wad wymowy powinno obejmować zintegrowane z usprawnianiem mięśni oddechowych ćwiczenia kształtujące koordynacyjne zdolności motoryczne. Sprawne i wydolne mięśnie oddechowe stanowią bowiem istotną część narządu wykonawczego mowy, biorącego udział w realizacji dźwięku.
    The analysis of current research in the aspect of neurophysiological processes and development of speech functions shows that there is a relationship between the general physical status of a child and his or her perception of their body. This concerns especially the functions in the area of fine and gross motor skills, and speech sound production. This research represents the continuation of theoretical considerations on the importance of body perception, integration and sensorimotor coordination in the context of the development of realization efficiency. The aim of the study was to evaluate the differences and relationships between physical status, the functional efficiency of respiratory muscles and articulatory motor skills in children with severe and profound hearing impairments (n = 17) after cochlear implantation compared to hearing children with speech impediments (n = 29). All the participants were subjected to speech therapy at the Centre for Diagnostics, Treatment and Rehabilitation of Hearing, Voice and Speech Disorders in the John Paul II Provincial Hospital of Podkarpacie in Krosno. The presented results confirmed that the motor skills of respiratory muscles expressed in their functional efficiency combined with the changing physical status have an effect on the state of articulation, regardless of the etiopathogenesis of possible defects in this field. Therefore, the search for optimal methods of speech therapy in the field of speech impediments should include exercises integrated with respiratory muscle improvement to develop coordination motor skills. Efficient and strong respiratory muscles are an essential part of the speech executive organ which is involved in speech sound production.

The authors analyse ways of treating auditory processing disorders in the context of current knowledge in audiology, pedagogy and speech therapy. The problem of central auditory disorders has Been described in world literature for at least several decades, but there is still an ongoing discussion regarding effective forms of diagnosis and therapy. Early detection of disorders increases the chances of effective hearing and speech rehabilitation as well as preventing difficulties in school learning. This is the third and final article in a series closely examining the issues related to central auditory processing disorders in children (CAPD).

    Opis:
    The analyses aim to determine aerodynamic force coefficients in the case of airflow around two smooth or rough cylinders positioned at different angles to the direction of wind velocity. Such systems, for instance, may be part of a tubular water slide. The results were compared with the values of the interference coefficient of the cylinders arranged in a row included in Eurocode EN 1991 part 4. The aerodynamic forces of the cylinder systems were determined on the basis of experimental tests conducted in a wind tunnel. To verify the above results, CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulations were prepared. An important observation is that for the angle of yaw β = 0◦, the negative component of the lift force (lateral) fy is shown, while for the other cases, the situation is opposite and the lateral force points outside the gap (upward). The second is that the results of aerodynamic drag for rough cylinders arranged in a row and calculated according to EN 1991 part 4 may be underestimated. The flow around the pair of smooth cylinders is quite different from that of the rough ones, because during the experiment the first falls into the critical flow regime, while the second has supercritical characteristics.

    Opis:
    The article discusses education mechanisms as a tool of individuals’ social allocation in the social structure. It presents sociological theories of inequality in education, ascertaining on their basis that the institution of school does not provide equal opportunities to its participants. In particular, migrants’ children, on whom the study focuses, are disadvantaged in this matter. Further, the text discusses possible ways of reducing these educational inequalities; three main directions of the integration policy, which should be followed both on the system and the school level, are distinguished and presented.
    Artykuł ukazuje mechanizmy edukacji, stanowiące narzędzie społecznego ulokowania jednostek w strukturze społecznej. Tekst prezentuje rożnorodne teorie socjologiczne na temat nierowności w polu edukacji, konstatując na ich podstawie, iż instytucja szkoły nie zapewnia jednakowych szans jej uczestnikom, w szczegolności zaś dzieciom migrantow, ktore stanowią głowny przedmiot powziętych badań. Ponadto, w tekście odnaleźć można rownież sposoby redukcji tychże edukacyjnych nierowności; wyodrębnione i opisane zostały trzy głowne kierunki, w ktorych powinna dążyć polityka integracyjna, zarowno na poziomie systemowym, jak i szkolnym.

    In determining the effects of actions when designing road structures, the influence of the loads caused by the buffeting of the passing vehicles (high-cycle forces) is neglected. Taking into account the fatigue load, they can have a very large impact on the assessment of the load capacity. The subject of analysis is the pressure and velocity distributions around a truck. At the current stage of the work, it can be concluded that the gusts of passing trucks affect the dynamics of the gantry structure and the elements suspended on it, such as platforms or boards. There is a strong suction force. It is possible to simplify the model in such a way that the board and the wind move with the speed of the vehicle while the truck remains stationary. Due to the lack of reliable guidelines for strength calculations of such structures, advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools were used. This paper also presents a shaking table built by the authors for dynamic loading of structural models. It describes the construction of the shaking table and the kind of movement made by the table deck. It also shows a scheme of the table deck suspension on linear bearings, as well as a scheme of the table motion system.
    Przy określaniu skutków oddziaływań przy projektowaniu obiektów drogowych pomija się wpływ obciążeń wywołanych podmuchami od przejeżdżających pojazdów (siły wysokocyklowe). Biorąc pod uwagę również obciążenie zmęczeniowe, mogą one mieć bardzo duży wpływ na ocenę nośności konstrukcji. Przedmiotem analizy są rozkłady ciśnień i prędkości wokół samochodu ciężarowego. Na obecnym etapie prac można stwierdzić, że podmuchy od przejeżdżających ciężarówek wpływają na dynamikę konstrukcji bramownicy i zawieszonych na niej elementów, takich jak pomosty czy tablice. Istnieje duża siła ssąca. Możliwe jest uproszczenie modelu w taki sposób, aby tablica i wiatr poruszały się z prędkością pojazdu, podczas gdy ciężarówka pozostaje nieruchoma. Ze względu na brak rzetelnych wytycznych do obliczeń wytrzymałościowych takich konstrukcji, zastosowano zaawansowane narzędzia obliczeniowej mechaniki płynów (CFD). W artykule przedstawiono również zbudowany przez autorów stół wstrząsowy do dynamicznego obciążania modeli konstrukcyjnych. Opisano w nim konstrukcję stołu oraz rodzaj ruchu, jaki wykonuje płyta stołu. Przedstawiono również schemat zawieszenia płyty stołu na liniowych łożyskach oraz schemat układu ruchu stołu.
