Postmortem examination of 13 Cervus nippon L. acclimatized in Poland were conducted and in all of the examined animals he found parasitic worms. In spite of 100% of extensity of invasion, the intensity of the helminthiasis was always unvsually low (table 2). Analizing the causes which could exert influence on the low intensity of invasion, the author supposes that it is conditioned by the specificity of food ingestion by Cervus nippon L. Summarizing, the author states that the helminthofauna of the Cervus nippon L. acclimatized in Poland is characterized by: 1) the poor species composition which includes barely 12 specics, 2) the lack of occurrence of species specific to Cervus nippon L., 3) the different species composition of which 50% (6 species) are new species to the Cervus nippon L.

Celem opracowania było określenie siły powiązań między konkurencyjnością poszczególnych działów przemysłu spożywczego a ich wynikami ekonomiczno-produkcyjnymi. W latach 2009-2011 na rynkach zagranicznych ulokowano 57% przyrostu produkcji przemysłu spożywczego. Pomimo trudnych i zmiennych warunków gospodarczych panujących ostatnio (tzw. okres dekoniunktury), polscy producenci żywności dobrze radzili sobie na rynkach zagranicznych. Polski przemysł spożywczy wykazał dużą odporność na zjawiska kryzysowe. Jego międzynarodowa konkurencyjność oceniana jest wysoko, a w szczególności dotyczy to wybranych produktów sektora cukierniczego, owocowo-warzywnego, tytoniowego, a w mniejszym stopniu także mięsnego i mleczarskiego. Silna pozycja konkurencyjna producentów artykułów spożywczych była jednym z czynników, który umożliwiał rozwój tej gałęzi przemysłu oraz sprzyjał utrzymaniu dobrej kondycji ekonomicznej firm spożywczych. Potwierdza to wskaźnik korelacji między miernikami konkurencyjności oraz ROE i dynamiką produkcji sprzedanej. Większa była jednak siła powiązań konkurencyjności z wynikami produkcyjnymi niż ekonomicznymi.
In the years 2009-2011 in theforeign markets were located 5 7% increase in food production. Despite the difficult and changing economic conditions (the so-called period of recession) polish food producers have coped well in foreign markets. Our food industry has shown a high resistance to the crisis phenomena. Its international competitiveness is evaluated highly, and in particular this applies to selected products in the confectionery, fruit and vegetables, tobacco, and to a lesser extent, meat and milk. The strong competitive position of food producers was one of the factors that allowed the development of the industry and has contributed to maintaining the economic viability of food companies. This confirms the correlation between the ratio and ROE measures of competitiveness and dynamics of sold production. However, was greater competitive strength of the results of the relationship than economic production.

Celem pracy była ocena przewag cenowych polskich producentów żywności na poziomie przetwórstwa względem producentów niemieckich w 2012 roku na tle 2002 roku. Analiza średnich krajowych cen producenta podstawowych i wysoko przetworzonych produktów przemysłu spożywczego w Polsce oraz cen tych produktów w Niemczech wskazuje, że w większości badanych artykułów polscy producenci w 2012 roku byli nadal konkurencyjni. W latach wcześniejszych zjawisko to dotyczyło jednak większej liczby produktów, co świadczy o postępującym procesie wyrównywania cen artykułów spożywczych na rynku polskim i niemieckim. Poziom naszych przewag cenowych był jednak zróżnicowany zarówno pomiędzy poszczególnymi branżami, jak i wewnątrz nich. Największe przewagi cenowe na rynku tych produktów osiągaliśmy w przemyśle drobiarskim, piekarskim, cukierniczym i soków, napojów bezalkoholowych i wód mineralnych, a mniejsze w mleczarskim, mięsnym, owocowo-warzywnym oraz na rynku takich wyrobów, jak margaryny i przetwory rybne. Proces wyrównywania cen żywności na rynku polskim i niemieckim jest rezultatem zarówno szybko rosnących cen tych produktów w Polsce, jak i taniejących wielu artykułów żywnościowych w Niemczech.
The aim of the study was to estimate price advantages of the Polish food producer at the processing level compared to the German producers in 2012 based on 2002. Conducted analysis of diversifying food prices in Poland and in Germany shows that Polish producers still have meaning the majority price towards German producers, both on the level of the producer, as well as the consumer. The biggest advantage we achieved so far in the poultry meat market and meat products, dairy products and cereals and confectionery, as well as juices, soft drinks and mineral waters and tobacco. Currently undoubtedly progressing process of price equalization of both the producer and the consumer on the Polish and German, and applies to all products (animal, vegetable and highly processed). The process of price equalization is one of the factors that forced Polish food producers to seek sources of non-price competitiveness.

Poprawa sytuacji ekonomiczno-finansowej przedsiębiorstw, a zatem i poszczególnych sektorów gospodarki realna jest w przypadku, gdy podmioty mają przewagę konkurencyjną nad swoimi rywalami.
After accession to the European Union a revival ofPolish food industry production was observed. It resulted in improvement of economic andfinancial performance of that industry and increase of profits generated by food processors. Indices of profitability sustained at high level and liquidity was safe. Slow down offood industry production in 2008 was one of the factors which influenced a minor deterioration of the economic and financial performance of the food industry. It resulted in curbing of export shares increase in production sold. About 22% ofproduction was exported in 2008 which was the same share as in 2007 (during the first years after joining the EU export shares had been growing by several per cent each year). Still high share of export in production sold as well as satisfactory performance of food industry prove its high competitiveness.

Polski przemysł spożywczy jest w dobrej sytuacji ekonomiczno-fi nansowej. Wejście Polski do Unii Europejskiej było korzystne dla tego działu przemysłu, a światowy kryzys gospodarczy ujawnił się z pewnym opóźnieniem i tylko w niektórych obszarach tego działu przemysłu. Było to jednak zjawisko krótkotrwałe, gdyż już w 2009 roku sytuacja się odwróciła.
It can be stated that the Polish food industry in the fi rst years of Polish membership in the European Union was characterized by high dynamics of development. Sold production of this division has been increasing at 4-7% annually, and annual investment expenditures have increased by at least 50%. In mid of 2008, when revealed to the world economic crisis, the pace of development of the food industry decreased (up to 2-4%), nevertheless the industry proved to be resistant to the phenomenon of crisis. As a result of slowdown, there was only a small decrease in defi ning measures of economic and fi nancial situation of food producers. But this was only a temporary phenomenon, because in 2009, all economic and fi nancial indicators increased and reached recorded levels since the transition. Almost half of the food and beverage producers were located in the central provinces (Wielkopolska, Mazovia and Lódź) and in Silesia. Economic and fi nancial situation of companies in Mazovia province and Silesia province was better than the national average, and two other economic and fi nancial indicators have been relatively large.

A new case of Dermacentor pictus Herm. infection in Ełk from Grajewo region is described. This points to common incidence of the tick in Grajewo. Augustów, Mańki regions. Extensive studies on the biology and ecology of D. pictus and its role in the transmission of infectious diseases are mandatory. Several cases of piroplasmosis observed in these regions, as well as dead foxes being often found in the spring time when ticks make their appearance, are suggestive in this direction.

The author passes in review the literature of the problem and states that according to it there has been registered up to now only one centre of the Dermacentor reticulatus tick within the present boundaries of Poland (Obitz). Then he quotes results of own investigations carried out in the elk preserve Czerwone Bagno (Province of Białystok), during which he found Dermacentor pictus on animals living in natural conditions (elk- Alces alces, roe- dear Capreotus cripreolus), on domestic animals (cattle) and on vegetation. Analysing the results of his investigations the author comes to the conclusion that D. pictius is a species well spread in the Czerwone Bagno preserve. Thiking in consideration till, role of D. pictus as a carrier of many a dangerous discase of men and animals, the author emphasizes the necessity of minute field investigations in the cited area.
