Opis:
The author discusses the current state of alternative education and describes views presented in scientific literature and in the media, showing also Polish parents interest in alternative education. In the main part of the article a research method was presented as an alternative method to work with children at school, outside of school and at university. The idea was shown on the basis of cooperation between Childrens University and Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski University in Krakow, the outcome of which was a series of classes for pedagogy students and a series of lessons for children conducted with the use of alternative research method which took place on the university premises. Finally the author assigns the presented method (following Kupisiewiczs thought) to the category of incomplete alternative approaches which refer to individual elements of educational process.

Artykuł poświęcony jest prezentacji wyników badania opinii społecznej przeprowadzonych wśród słuchaczy studiów kierunków bezpieczeństwo narodowe oraz bezpieczeństwo wewnętrzne w 2014 roku. Głównym problemem badawczym jest pytanie o to, jaki obraz Brunona K. dominuje w świadomości i wyobrażeniach ludzi, którzy jako studenci Wydziału Nauk o Bezpieczeństwie interesują się problematyką zagrożeń terrorystycznych w stopniu wyższym niż statystyczny obywatel. Respondentom zadano między innymi pytania dotyczące zawodu, wykształcenia, cech fizycznych zatrzymanego pod zarzutem przygotowywania zamachu terrorystycznego Brunona K. Pytano również o modus operandi planowanego zamachu, a więc o rodzaj materiału wybuchowego, cel zamachu, sposób umieszczenia ładunku, rodzaj zastosowanego pojazdu itp. Autor podjął również próbę porównania obrazu Agrobombera, jaki wyłonił się z badania opinii społecznej z obrazem terrorysty przedstawionym w prasie polskiej.
The article is devoted to the presentation of the results of the opinion polls conducted in 2014 among the students of the faculty of National security and Internal security. The main research problem is the question of how the image of Bruno K. dominates the minds and imagination of people who, as students of the Faculty of Security, are interested in the issues of terrorist threats. The respondents were asked, among other things, some questions regarding the profession, education and physical characteristics of Bruno K arrested on a charge of preparing a terrorist attack. They were also asked about the modus operandi of the planned attack and therefore the type of explosive, the purpose of the coup, the method of placing the load, the type of vehicle used, etc. The author also made a comparison test juxtaposing Agrobomber’s image that emerged from the survey of public opinion with a picture of the terrorist presented in the Polish press.

The following article is an attempt to present the phenomenon of xenophobia, on the one hand, as an aversion to everything what is foreign, on the other, as a specific way of feeling which in some sense is a behaviour understood for every man. In this paper, other phenomena similar to xenophobia such as racism or discrimination which have a lot of shared areas with xenophobia as well as their most important mechanisms, were also described. Moreover, the issue concerning community was raised without which xenophobia could not actually occur. The article also includes the chosen examples showing signs of xenophobia, on Polish as well as foreign ground, concerning the latest events related to immigrants and refugees which we can see the most frequently in the media and web portals. The aim of this work was to compare particular fields of study: Security Studies, Management and Psychology in terms of intensity of xenophobic attitude, using self-designed questionnaire consisting of 21 statements in total. According to predictions, it turned out that Security Studies students indicate the strongest xenophobic attitudes in all three aspects: ethnic, religious and homosexual, while Psychology students the weakest. However, Management students were placed each time between Security Studies and Psychology students. Most probably the field of study is linked with the intensity of xenophobic attitude. Security Studies students will more often pay attention to something what is strange, untypical as well as threatening in surroundings in order to minimize the possible danger. Psychology students learn the acceptance conduct, not to judge on the basis of fragmentary information which very often requires devoting time and other sources. Security Studies students often cannot afford to do this.

Opis:
This article discusses the content of the inscriptions commemorating Valerian Olszowski coat of arms Prus II. The tombstone is in the church of saint Lawrence in Stolec in the Renaissance style. The inscription has got several obvious advantages. Firstly, it informs about the political role of the family Olszowscy, both Valerian and his sons. This monument is also an excellent example of the use of epigraphic monuments in genealogical researches and accurately determines the cause of death of the title character. The article is also an attempt to resolve a heraldic program, which consists of coats of arms Prus II, Jastrzębiec, Ostoja, Topór. In addition to this, the author took the issues related to the origin of the family Olszowscy, which should be treated as a contribution to the history of this family in the Central Poland.  
Artykuł omawia treść inskrypcji upamiętniającej Waleriana Olszowskiego herbu Prus II (1587–1650). Nagrobek znajduje się obecnie w kościele pod wezwaniem św. Wawrzyńca w Stolcu i utrzymany jest w stylu renesansowym. Inskrypcja ma kilka niewątpliwych zalet. Po pierwsze, informuje na temat roli politycznej przedstawicieli rodu Olszowskich, czyli nie tylko Waleriana, lecz także jego synów. Stanowi także dobry przykład wykorzystania zabytków epigraficznych w badaniach genealogicznych oraz – co jest niezwykłą rzadkością – precyzyjnie określa przyczynę zgonu tytułowego bohatera. Artykuł stanowi również próbę rozwiązania programu heraldycznego, na który składają się herby Prus II, Jastrzębiec, Ostoja, Topór. Ponadto autor podjął zagadnienia związane z pochodzeniem rodu Olszowskich w okresie średniowiecza, które można potraktować jako drobny przyczynek do dziejów tej familii w Polsce Centralnej.

This article is an attempt at comparative analysis of works of two representatives of the republican tradition, that is Immanuel Kant and Andrzej FryczModrzewski. This analysis is based on the following works: Perpetual peace, Doctrine of Right and On the Reform of the Republic. I will compare how both of the authors understand the notion of the republic and other notions such as law, freedom and general will. At the end of this paper I will show how the two republican traditions influenced today’s political reality.
