The paper describes a relief intensity factor (RIF) as a method to: 1) recognize main forms of the young-glacial landscape; 2) characterize their morphometry; 3) determine their changes due time and different conditions, as well as 4) compare forms on different altitudes. It consists of three factors: relative height RH and neighborhood NH (counted on the basis of DTM) and also a structure of forms STR – their grain composition GC and the shape FS (relied on geological maps). The model of the Pomeranian relief intensity allows to predict characteristic values for selected postglacial landscape forms. Taking into account the range of the I – III quartile, these values are as follows: for marginal lake basins – 3-6 (mean 4.25); for proglacial stream valleys – 4-7 (5.66); for outwash plains – 6-9 (7.88); for hills consisting of the glacial till (end moraines, ground moraine) and also kames and eskers – 8-12, mean 9.20-10.33 (end moraines 10-12, mean 10.52).

The central questions addressed in this paper are: (1) how are forms related to predication? And (2) what role do forms and predication play in the discovery and articulation of truth? The first section of the paper provides—in broad strokes—a synopsis of Plato’s account of forms. The second section considers predication in relation to forms showing that the existence and nature of forms is a necessary condition for predication, and that Plato’s account of predication is consistent with, in fact, anticipates, Aristotle’s treatment of reality in the Categories. The conclusion of the paper is that forms and predication are central to philosophical hermeneutics, to the discovery and articulation of truth.

On a Riemannian manifold, two differential operators: the gradient and the divergence are defined and investigated in the bundle of alternating differential forms of any degree with values in a vector bundle. Several algebraic, analytic and geometric properties of the two operators are derived. The vector character of the gradient on forms turns out to be a source of possible applications.

Opis:
The research dealt with opinions of homeschooling parents on preferred homeschooling methods and forms. Using the questionnaire method, it mapped opinions of 78 parents from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. It examined the influence of selected variables, i.e. age of parents and number of homeschooled children, on the preference for methods and forms of education. On the basis of research findings it could be stated that younger respondents preferred unschooling more than older respondents. The older respondents, on the other hand, preferred classical teaching methods and forms more. It was also found that the number of homeschooled children had no influence on parents’ choice of homeschooling methods and forms.

The development of flexible forms of work is one of the most discussed problems concerning the contemporary labor market. This article presents thoughts on the evolution of the concept of flexibility and its types to date. The presence of both negative and positive aspects of flexible solutions from the point of view of employers and employees is stressed. Potential applications of flexible forms of work improving relations between the professional and personal lives of workers are presented. The last section is devoted to factors impeding the introduction and use of flexible forms of work in Poland - legal regulations and a lack of awareness of organizational and time-based solutions and their methods of implementation.

A psychological analysis of the functioning of people in the work envi- ronment has been conducted on the basis of the results of quantitative research carried out among workers employed in nine forms of flexible employment, drawing on a model of selected psychological variables, in- cluding employment choice autonomy, attribution of organizational mem- bership, form and content of psychological contract, and attitudes towards work and social skills, including personal flexibility and assertive behav- iour. Work satisfaction in flexible types of employment has also been stud- ied, along with the psychological cost associated with this type of employment.

Violence has been part of the human history since its very beginning. As some believe, it is “Cain’s sin” that determines violent human behaviour. Though this belief is obviously simplified, it reflects the nature of man. We are eager to seek evil in others, in individuals and in social structures. It is not just the family that is oppressive. Violence is ubiquitous; it is inflicted by peer groups, social classes, organisations, and by the state. Violence is commonly defined as social behaviour against someone or something, the aggressor being on one side and the victim on the other. Usually, a narrow definition of violence is used; i.e., violence is understood as the use of force to obtain from others what they are not willing to give or what they do not want to do. However, violence is a more complex phenomenon. Some forms of violence are sophisticated and difficult to discern, not only in the behaviour of others but also in our own actions. Violence occurs on a micro-scale in the form of pressure, extortion, inducement, or restrictions, and on a macro-scale – as wars, crises, terroristic acts, or revolutions. Violence is not only physical and psychological; it may also be personal, structural, hidden, explicit, emotional, and rational. What follows, it takes place in a wide array of spaces: in culture, sport, politics, the media, in the public space and at home. Therefore, the narrow definition of violence fails to include many of its aspects, and as such it is not practical. Using such a definition, we are left with extreme cases, so in fact we define pathologies. A serious difficulty in defining violence is connected with defining human rights in a unified way. These vary from culture to culture and have been evolving throughout history. Violation of these rights constitutes the essence of what is referred to as violent behaviour. Each society defines and attempts to prevent violence differently, and also in its own way indicates those who judge the perpetrators of prohibited acts.

One of the best known economic theories of the early 21st c. is Pine & Gilmore’s of the experience economy (1999). This is nothing new for the tourism industry which has always been selling emotions, dreams and memories involving travel. Recently, however, it has become much more important to provide professionally (consciously and purposefully) prepared tourism products, strongly marked with emotion1. Efforts to create original experiences for tourists include not only various modifications of traditional tourism packages, but also a search for new recreation spaces and new forms of tourism. The aim of this article is to review new tourism-recreational areas (e.g. military areas, new churches, so-called ‘destination centres’, along with ordinary and extreme experience spaces), as well as new forms of travel and recreation (e.g. creative, event, sports, culinary or extreme tourism). The analysis includes those phenomena which above all are currently gaining in popularity as part of the tourist experience triad (WŁODARCZYK 2013).

Structure is an essential element of most architecture works, but beyond its main function to carry loads, it can also enrich and animate the architectural space. The architect, in cooperation with the engineer, may expand awareness of the architectural potential of the load-bearing system and design efficient structural forms that are based on the natural flow of forces and are simultaneously functional, unique, and aesthetic. The article shows how to design such forms and attempts to demonstrate that they can have a positive impact on the originality and beauty of an architectural object.

Forms of Address as Discrete Modal OperatorsThe category of expressions of politeness includes, among others, forms of address. Forms of address express honorification. Honorification can be defined as a special type of meaning that consists of information about the social and interpersonal relations between the speaker and the addressee, the speaker and the hearer, and the speaker and the protagonist of the predication. As far as their place in the syntactic structure is concerned, forms of address can either be integrated with the other elements of a predication or not. However, they are always part of a predication’s semantic structure. Moreover, forms of address convey the speaker’s attitude to the meaning of the predicate that they want to convey, which consequently means that forms of address also carry a modal element. Modality can be defined as a situation in which an individual is in a particular mental state, i.e. exhibits some kind of attitude to a situation or a type of situations.Forms of address can be categorised as modal operators conveying imperatives, requests, suppositions, etc. The term "operator" can be used for a unit of language when it changes the semantic structure of the predication. My research on honorification is mainly based on contemporary corpora, both monolingual and multilingual. In the present study, I analyse forms of address which carry imperative and optative meanings. Formy adresatywne jako dyskretne operatory modalneW obrębie wyrażeń realizujących funkcje grzecznościowe znajduje się grupa form adresatywnych. Są one częścią kategorii honoryfikatywności rozumianej jako szczególny rodzaj znaczenia zawartego w treści wypowiedzi, informację o towarzysko-społecznej relacji między nadawcą a odbiorcą, nadawcą a słuchaczem oraz nadawcą a bohaterem wypowiedzi. Gramatycznie formy adresatywne mogą być zarówno zintegrowane, jak i niezintegrowane syntaktycznie z resztą wypowiedzi, ale zawsze są częścią semantycznej struktury zdania. Wyrażają one także stosunek mówiącego do komunikatu, jaki przekazuje odbiorcom komunikatu, i tym samym mają przekaz modalny. Przez modalność autor rozumie sytuację, w której dane indywiduum (osoba) znajduje się w danym stanie mentalnym, tj. ma określony stosunek do szeregu sytuacji i typów sytuacji.Formy adresatywne można uznać za dyskretne operatory modalne zawierające takie treści, jak: rozkazuję ci, życzę sobie, przypuszczam i in. Termin ,,operator" używany jest w przypadkach, w których możemy go wskazać jako nośnika zmian w semantycznej strukturze zdania. Współczesne badania nad honoryfikatywnością autor opiera głównie na obecnie opracowywanych narodowych korpusach wielojęzycznych równoległych i jednojęzycznych i analizuje formy adresatywne o znaczeniu imperatywnym i optatywnym.

The deep changes in Polish legal system and economy that took place after 1989 contributed to the emergence of new challenges for public administration. The legislator, in order to satisfy growing numbers of social demands, appointed new tasks and created a new legal form of action for public administration entities. However, not every of the new forms were fitted to classically understood administrative law. Part of this new forms at the same time combines some features characteristic for administrative law as well as typical for civil law, which gives them untypical (hybrid) character. As an example, there can be mentioned: civil law contracts with so called “overlays” (obligatory additional conditions) imposed by certain legal acts as well as administrative settlements and administrative contracts. The aim of this article is to analyze those hybrid forms of action of public administration entities in terms of implementation the objectives of regulation set by the legislator.

Nietypowe formy zatrudnienia stają się coraz ważniejsze w krajach uprzemysłowionych. Na europejskich rynkach pracy w ostatnich latach obserwuje się rosnące powstanie tak zwanych "bardziej elastycznych form pracy", które odbiegają od standardowych umów o pracę. Wzrost ilości umów na czas określony, „mini-praca” - w niepełnym wymiarze czasu i zatrudnianie przez agencje pracy, potencjalnie zwiększają elastyczność zatrudnienia dla przedsiębiorstwa - a także do pewnego stopnia - dla pracowników, jednak te formy zatrudnienia są uważane za gorsze i bardziej ryzykowne w porównaniu z regularnym (tradycyjnym) zatrudnieniem, w szczególności w zakresie możliwości osiągnięcia zysków i bezpieczeństwa pracy.
Atypical forms of employment are becoming increasingly important in industrialised countries. In European labour markets in recent years, there has been a growing emergence of so-called ‘more flexible forms of work’, which deviate from standard employment contracts. The growth of fixed-term contracts, mini-jobs, part-time working and agency work potentially increases flexibility for companies – and also to some extent for employees – but these forms of employment are generally regarded as inferior and more risky compared with regular employment, particularly in terms of earning potential and job security.

Do badań wykorzystano aplikacje o tej samej funkcjonalności w obu technologiach. W analizie porównawczej uwzględniono czasy danych operacji oraz wydajność aplikacji.
The article presents a comparison of two technologies for creating desktop applications based on C#. The analysis conserns the use of the processor, RAM and time of the operation was carried out on the technologies of Windows Presentation Foundation and Windows Forms. The research use applications with the same functionality in both technologies. The comparative analysis took into account the times of operations and application performance.

Cyberbullying is a behaviour of ever increasing occurrence. Methods of cyberbullying vary, from less serious to very serious forms. The aim of the research was to find out what forms pupils in the Slovak Republic use to perpetrate cyberaggression and through what forms they are victimized. The research was conducted on a sample of 696 pupils of elementary and secondary schools, using the research tool Cyberbullying and Online Aggression Survey Instrument (2010). It was proved that the simplest form of cyberbullying is gross insults posted on the Internet and the most difficult form is creation of websites and videos to cause emotional injury.

Badane organiczne formy zostały odkryte w rejonie Wzgórz Tebańskich w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie miejscowości Qurna (Górny Egipt). Wychodnie z tymi formami znajdującej się na zachód od Luksoru na zachodnim brzegu Nilu. Omawiane formy poddano badaniom mineralogiczno-petrograficznym.
Organic siliceous forms were discover at Theban hills near Qurna (Upper Egypt). Outcrops containing mentioned forms are located at the west bank of Nile vis a vis Luxor town. These forms were described and examined using mineralogical-petrographical methods.

The purpose of this paper is to determine organizational forms (formal, non-formal) and the level of tourism activity among young people of secondary schools in Cracow depending on gender, the type of school and the education of the parents. The study included 1472 students of schools in Cracow. Physically active forms of tourism are undertaken mostly by girls - 63% rather than by boys - 52%. With increasing levels of education of the parents, the number of young people practicing active forms of tourism also increases. The undertaking of active forms of tourism varies, depending of the type of school attended. Young people in secondary (63,9%) and primary (65,7%) schools most often chose to go for tourism. In primary (50,1%) and secondary (39,4%) vocational schools they go least often. Active forms of tourism usually take the form of informal practice among friends and acquaintances (mostly hiking - 47%).

This paper discusses the family Araceae, emphasizing its worldwide distribution and the diversity of morphological and ecological characteristics of the family that have enabled it to reach such a prominent position with diverse habitats. Few families of its size have come to inhabit such a diverse spectrum of habits and biomes. The family has important habit forms and growth structures that have enabled such distributional patterns. The very broad spectrum of life forms it demonstrates is one of the main characteristics of the family, namely broad habitat diversity. This coupled with high species diversity; high rates of endemism and the presence of large numbers of unknown species (probably the highest of any family percentage-wise) constitute principal characteristics of the family.

Despite intensive development of numerical methods of resolution of ordinary differential equations, we still seek analytical solutions of these equations in the algebraic form. The analytical solution in an algebraic form, is very convenient in case of investigation of the course of solution in a large interval of changes of parameters, it also gives more qualitative informations. This concerns first of all linear equations which are the most often met models of physical objects. Important advantage of these solutions is also their open form regarding established state of the system. The paper proves existence of algebraic forms of solutions of control vectors with components: exponential, sinusoidal with different circular frequencies and sinusoidal multiple. Also solutions for other kind of control vectors which are mentioned in the literature are presented.

We solve several problems in the theory of polynomials in Banach spaces. (i) There exist Banach spaces without the Dunford-Pettis property and without upper p-estimates in which all multilinear forms are weakly sequentially continuous: some Lorentz sequence spaces, their natural preduals and, most notably, the dual of Schreier's space. (ii) There exist Banach spaces X without the Dunford-Pettis property such that all multilinear forms on X and X* are weakly sequentially continuous; this gives an answer to a question of Dimant and Zalduendo [20]. (iii) The sum of two polynomially null sequences need not be polynomially null; this answers a question of Biström, Jaramillo and Lindström [8] and also of González and Gutiérrez [23]. (iv), (v) The absolutely convex closed hull of a pw-compact set need not be pw-compact; the projective tensor product of two polynomially null sequences need not be a polynomially null sequence. This answers two questions of González and Gutiérrez [23]. (vi) There exists a Banach space without property (P); this answers a question of Aron, Choi and Llavona [5].

The climate of a high-altitude postglacial cirque, such as Kozia Dolinka, is conducive to the occurrence of permafrost. Both the depth of permafrost and the area it covers, as well as the presence of year-round snow patches, can serve as indicators for assessing the impact of global warming on the climate of mountains, including the Tatras. With few meteorological stations to survey the remote and inaccessible high-altitude areas of the Tatra Mountains, any research must rely on measurements spanning limited time periods. Against this background, the 5-year series of temperature measurements from the Kozia Dolinka cirque obtained by the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IGiPZ PAN) can be used to analyze air temperature patterns on concave and convex terrain forms in the alpine climate zone if compared to the results of measurements from stations of the State Hydrological and Meteorological Service located nearby, i.e. the Kasprowy Wierch HighMountain Meteorological Observatory and the Hala Gąsienicowa Nival Research Station of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, National Research Institute (IMGW-PIB). This study confirms that there is a relationship between air temperature and the formation and duration of snow cover on concave and convex terrain forms. It also reveals a hitherto unknown fact that concave terrain forms, i.e. postglacial cirques, of the alpine zone have milder thermal conditions in winter than convex terrain forms. The analyses highlight the need for further, more detailed research using modern automated meteorological stations.

Opis:
Thin plates of three different forms with different physical-mechanical characteristics and free edges are examined in this work. Modeling of geometry and numerical calculation of frequencies and forms of free oscillation of plates is accomplished by the finite element method, which is realized using the licensed computer program FEMAP with the NASTRAN solver. A comparative analysis of the calculated eigenfrequencies is carried out. The dependence of the corresponding frequencies on the physical and mechanical characteristics of the material in the form of coefficients is established.

This paper shows important trends on the contemporary labor market in the area of forms of employment. Possibilities for the implementation of flexible forms of employment in the shipbuilding industry are demonstrated in experience gained through the EUROSTER Project, financed by the European Social Fund. The paper examines the best employment structures for use in the businesses of this industry. Professions that can be performed applying flexible forms of employment are also looked at. Research among the managerial staff of the shipbuilding industry is used to present opinions on implementation of such forms and structures. Lastly, this paper looks at problems linked with barriers to undertaking changes in forms of employment in the companies.

We argue that the current understanding of politics is caught in a tug of war between “economistic” and “postmodern” views, neither of which captures the distinctiveness of political rule and consequently instills confusion among citizens and misplaced expectations from leaders. Drawing largely on Aristotle, who warned precisely against this error, we consider the logic of mastery and contrast it to paternal rule. Then we discuss the voluntary nature of economic activity to distinguish it from the involuntary nature of mastery, before turning to discuss the political proper, which is a combination or mixture of these two that nevertheless makes it qualitatively distinct. These distinctions help us to better appreciate what is a likeness between political and economic, on the one hand, and between political and paternal, on the other while realising that political rule is not exhausted by either economic or paternal alone. The paper seeks to show that political rule finds itself as an in-between condition that balances itself against despotic, mastery, and the kind of care that paternal rule points to.

The main purpose of the reduction theory is to construct a fundamental domain of the unimodular group acting discontinuously on the space of positive definite quadratic forms. This fundamental domain is for example used in the theory of automorphic forms for GLₙ (cf. [11]) or in the theory of Siegel modular forms (cf. [1], [4]). There are several ways of reduction, which are usually based on various minima of the quadratic form, e.g. the Korkin-Zolotarev method (cf. [10], [3]), Venkov's method (cf. [12]) or Voronoï's approach (cf. [13]), which also works in the general setting of positivity domains (cf. [5]). The most popular method is Minkowski's reduction theory [6] and its generalizations (cf. [9], [15]).
Minkowski's reduction theory is based on attaining certain minima, which can be characterized as the successive primitive minima of the quadratic form. Besides these we have successive minima, but a reduction according to successive minima only works for n ≤ 4 (cf. [14]). In this paper we introduce so-called primitive minima}, which lie between successive and successive primitive minima (cf. Theorem 2). Using primitive minima we obtain a straightforward generalization of Hermite's inequality in Theorem 1. As an application we get a simple proof for the finiteness of the class number. Finally we describe relations with Rankin's minima (cf. [8]) and with Venkov's reduction (cf. [12]).

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of tax sovereignty. The author studied the sources of state sovereignty as well as the forms of its implementation. The analysis is aimed at testing the hypothesis that tax sovereignty is realized only through the activities of the legislative bodies of the state power, and one of the manifestations of tax sovereignty is the discretionary powers of the legislator. Basing on the study of the legal positions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation the author concludes that it is necessary to establish clear limits of the exercise of discretionary powers in order to maintain a balance of public and private interests.

This paper discusses Polish consumer cooperatives in terms of the embedded economy as understood by Karl Polanyi. The author compares today‟s “new” cooperatives, or informal groups of consumers that have been emerging in Poland since 2010, with the “old” consumer cooperative movement that existed between 1906 and 1939, as represented mainly by the “Społem” consumer cooperative union. Following Polanyi‟s understanding of the relationship between human economy and social institutions, I analyse reciprocity and redistribution as forms of economic integration in past and present cooperatives. Although the “new” cooperatives refer to the prewar cooperative traditions, their structure and economic operation differ vastly from the original model. I argue that the present structure of consumer cooperatives does not provide a base for symmetry and centricity – “supporting structures” for reciprocity and redistribution – although some of the new cooperatives do offer solutions for those deficits. This paper also discusses the nature of class barriers in the contemporary and historical consumer-cooperative movement, and relates this issue to Polanyian notions of countermovement and class interest.

The problem of development of the forms of help being given to a child and family by local governments has been attracting the society's attention in Poland since the beginning of the 1990 s. The analyzed forms of family and child in local communities is only a certain element of the whole care and educational system aimed at achieving European standards. Short statistics of the described reports of the Ministry ofWork and Social Politics and the data of Santa Claus Fund have allowed the author to look into the development of these kinds of help operating in local communities over last decade. Describing the tasks of parish and district councils can differentiate after the legislator the most significant forms of care and support for families in children such as protected flats, specialized family guidance, special centers for families in crisis, day care homes, educational centers, community centers, social and therapeutic centers and clubs. The reformed system of child and family care in Poland is based on the development of family support and preventive actions that correspond with the international law and good practice standards and the main stream of changes in the countries- members of the European Union. The main task of this paper has been to investigate the ways of combining tense forms in folk lyric poetry. The concept of folk lyric poetry in this case refers to the oriental-style love-song, the folk love song which was created with the advent of the eastem Islamie culture into the Slavic south, mostly among the part of the population which accepted the Islam. In terms of context, oriental-style love-songs are a shorter kind of songs, of about ten verse lines on average. Even though the texts in ąuestion are fairly short, they include multiple combinations of the tense forms employed. That is primarily due to the way of presenting their verbal content. The author has proved that the present tense form is the most frequent in this poetry. Why that is so and how its main function is realised are the issues treated in this paper. The author proves there is no oriental-style love-song belon- ging to verbless poetry, that all the songs were composed with the use of two, or usually morę tense forms. The most frequent are the combinations of the present and past tenses, the latter most often expressed by the perfect tense and the aorist. Morę rarely the futurę tense form is involved too.

In the study analysis of organizational forms of health care operators was conducted, including selected legal and economic conditions. Changes in the area of regulations of health care sector were provided, economic conditions of the process of transformations of health care organizations were also examined. It results from conducted studies that the transformation of the health care system should aspire parallel to improving efficiency through taken action in the micro- and macroeconomic, i.e. on the level of health care organization and their legal and economic environment. Leaving the form of SPZOZ, dominating today, for companies, is a huge challenge and can turn out for SPZOZ with both the chance and the threat.

1. Introduction. In a recent article [6], the positive definite ternary quadratic forms that can possibly represent all odd positive integers were found. There are only twenty-three such forms (up to equivalence). Of these, the first nineteen were proven to represent all odd numbers. The next four are listed as "candidates". The aim of the present paper is to show that one of the candidate forms h = x² + 3y² + 11z² + xy + 7yz does represent all odd (positive) integers, and that it is regular in the sense of Dickson. We will consider a few other forms, including one in the same genus as h that is a "near miss", i.e. it fails to represent only a single number which it is eligible to represent. Our methods are similar to those in [4]. A more recent article with a short history and bibliography of work on regular ternary forms is [3].
