Good implementation of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system differs from unsuccessful one before everything the ability of both foreseeing and reducing the amount and the size of numerous traps which appear at every stage of the life cycle project implementation. In this article, based on the results of questionnaire sent to 50 companies with different employment size, events affecting the failures of the ERP system implementation were identified and on their base a level of risk as well as additional costs related to preventive actions (reducing the probability or effects of the problem occurrence) were investigated. To evaluate the risk values of chosen ERP system implementation tasks, a spot risk assessment method was used.

In this article, based on the results of questionnaire sent to 50 companies with different employment size, events affecting the failures of the ERP system implementation were identified and their risk level as well as additional costs related to preventive actions (reducing the probability or effects of the problem occurrence) were investigated. Opis:
Virtualization of IT system implementation and maintenance processes is now possible in small and micro-companies, characterized by relative simplicity and a marked recurrence of business processes. The popularity of such an approach to the implementation is largely due to the wide availability of IT solutions offering remote administration of authorized IT resources. A virtual form of implementation offers a significant reduction of both cost and time, compared with a traditional approach. The aim of this paper is to offer an analysis and assessment of the potential of virtualization of the business processes relating to IT system implementation and maintenance.

In the years 2011–2012 Polish universities were obligated to implement education requirements In compliance with the National Qualifications Framework. First the universities defined intended learning outcomes, a basis on which curricula were drawn up. The most difficult part of the implemented system is the appropriate identification of method(s) to assess whether the expected learning outcomes have been achieved. This article discusses an examination system commissioned by maritime administration for seafarer examining, and indicates possibilities of using the developed solutions in the process of learning outcomes assessment at technical universities and academies.

"Od momentu przystąpienia do Unii Europejskiej w 2004 r. polskie województwa stały się podmiotami wspólnej polityki regionalnej, w ramach której otrzymują na realizację jej podstawowych celów coraz większe środki z unijnego budżetu. Jak pokazało doświadczenie poprzedniego okresu programowania, dla efektywnej absorpcji tychże funduszy oraz zagwarantowania rzeczywistych, pozytywnych efektów ich wykorzystania niezbędny jest odpowiednio konstruowany i sprawnie funkcjonujący system instytucjonalny. Na system ten składają się z jednej strony procedury dotyczące programowania, zarządzania, finansowania, kontroli itp., z drugiej – faktyczne działanie wszystkich zaangażowanych podmiotów. Artykuł zawiera główne wnioski z badań prowadzonych w 2008 roku. Celem badań była analiza doświadczeń wdrażania funduszy strukturalnych przeznaczonych dla regionów w latach 2004–2006, w tym w szczególności identyfikacja głównych porażek, oraz poznanie zakresu wykorzystania związanych z nimi doświadczeń przy kształtowaniu modelu implementacji funduszy w kolejnej perspektywie budżetowej 2007–2013. Przedstawione zostały także procedury tworzenia szesnastu Regionalnych Programów Operacyjnych oraz priorytety przyjęte w ich ramach przez samorządy poszczególnych województw."
Structural funds – instruments of cohesion policy – are aimed to support local and regional development and to speed up regional convergence. For the last few years they have been the main source that enable realization of different activities and investments on local level in Poland. In the light of systematic extension of financial resources provided within structural funds effective absorption of those funds becomes a matter of great importance. Experience of previous implementation period gives some clues on the perspective of use of structural funds provided for Polish regions in 2007–2013 period. The results of previous research showed that effective absorption of pre-accession and structural funds depends on many both material and untouchable factors but the most important for effective absorption is adequate institutional system with procedures of programming, financial management, monitoring, evaluation etc. This paper presents the results of research conducted in 2008. The authors focused on three main areas: experience of 2004–06 period of implementation – identification of successes and barriers of structural funds implementation system, practical use of these experiences to improve institutional system for 2007–13 period and finally priorities of 16 Regional Operational Programmes realized in Polish voivodeships.

Opis:
The paper presents a concept for the use of fuzzy modelling and reverse inference to analyze the effects of planned implementation of an ERP system in a medium-sized manufacturing company. The proposed approach allows the possibility of achievement of the effects corresponding to the assumed enterprise targets to be evaluated, and is based on the assignation of suffcient conditions providing these effects defined in the form of selected indicators. The paper also includes a presentation of the results of computer experiments in the field of the determination of the influence of selected fuzzy modelling parameters on the obtained solutions. The suggested concept is dedicated to consultants of ERP software to support decision-making processes.

Obecne prawo żywnościowe wymaga od operatorów rynku żywnościowego wdrożenia systemów identyfikowalności, zapewniających właściwą identyfikację dostawców i odbiorców. Przy dużej ilości systematycznie gromadzonych danych dobrym rozwiązaniem jest zastosowanie informatycznego systemu, który zapewni szybki dostęp do archiwizowanych danych. W artykule przestawiono etapy wdrażania informatycznego systemu identyfikowalności opartego na międzynarodowym standardzie wymiany danych GS1 w przetwórni rybnej.
Food business operators are required by the obligatory food law to implement traceability system which ensure proper identification of their suppliers and purchasers. When the huge amount of data is systematically collected by the entity the advisable solution is the implementation of advanced traceability system which ensures quick access to the archived data. The paper describes the stages of electronic and based on GS1 standard traceability system implementation in fish processing plant.

One goal of the Bologna process is to restructure European university programs from monolithic five-year programs into two cycles, bachelor’s and master’s. In this paper, we ask academic staff (n=52) and students (n=126) at the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague about their opinions on the implementation of the two-cycle system at their faculty. Nine out of ten academic staff and three out of ten students prefer the old five-year programs, arguing that the two-cycle system is not suitable for teacher training, subject courses are not sufficiently linked with teaching courses and that bachelor’s graduates cannot find jobs at schools. Students tend to prefer the two-cycle system, mostly because they get the bachelor’s degree. Our results can be used as empirical evidence in discussion about possible changes of teacher training programs.

Modern businesses boost management by implementing integrated IT systems, such as highly popular in Poland – SAP software, to aid the enterprise resource planning (ERP). This paper evaluates the implementation of an ERP system at a steel wheel rims manufacturer and distributor. The main research method was questionnaire, conducted at the Logistics & Customer Service department. The data acquired from the conducted research were analysed and processed to evaluate the implemented solution. Areas for improvement were pinpointed and concerned the adjustment of the software solution to the needs of the enterprise.

The main goal of the work was to create a project to implement an object recognition system into a modular didactic gear production system. The project shows how, thanks to the modular structure of the gear system, it is possible to easily add new elements to it, at the same time increasing its capabilities. At the beginning, the characteristics of the system were presented before the implementation, including a description of the production process that takes place in this system and all modules of the system were exchanged. Then the vision system for object recognition and all its components were described. The technical-organizational project of the implementation presented the concept of the deployment of the system modules and the principle of system operation after the implementation. A 3D model of all system components was also presented.

Increasing awareness and the number of activities for environmental protection has influenced the development of environmental management systems. Currently, there is a wide range of environmental management systems that can be implemented thus organizations can choose which system suits their activities best. Among small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, the most popular is a system based on the ISO 14001 standard. Therefore, it seems advisable to promote the skillful implementation of this system. The study was devoted to this issue. It pointed out that the participation of an external consultant, the size of the enterprise as well as the nature of the activity in small and medium manufacturing enterprises has a small importance at the time of its implementation. To implement such a system skillfully, preparation work period for designing and implementing should last about 9 - 12 months.

W artykule przedstawiono wykorzystanie języka deklaracyjnego w celu formalizacji kroków wykonywanych w ramach czynności utworzenia modeli typów z metodyki Cheesmana-Danielsa. Zastosowanie języka deklaracyjnego umożliwiło wykorzystanie opracowanych formalizmów w procesie budowania regułowego modelu wiedzy. Opracowane reguły zostaną wykorzystane na potrzeby projektowanego systemu regułowego wspierającego analityka systemowego w procesie projektowania systemu informatycznego. Ocena jakości modeli generowanych przez system regułowy, zostanie zweryfikowana poprzez pomiar i analizę otrzymanych wyników przy użyciu miar oprogramowania.
Declarative programming can be used as a language for formalizing steps in 'develop type model' activity used in Cheesman-Daniels methodology. Developed formalism enables to use described rules for steps and can be used in constructing rule-base knowledge model. Described rules will be use in a rule-base system which will support a designer in process of designing the application. Quality control generated model by a rule-base system, will be verified through measurements and analysis received results apply a software metrics.
