Opis:
This article deals with a dynamic simulation of the movement and fall of persons working at a height, using the rope belaying system. The input data, which are necessary for a created simulation model, were obtained from experimental measurements realised from the concrete belaying system. The simulation analyses were performed for three different values of the rope pre-load level. Consequently, the outputs from the simulations presented in this article were applied in a real design proposal of the rope anchoring arrangement for a horizontal belaying system.

W publikacji scharakteryzowano system transportu stosowany w podziemnych kopalniach węgla kamiennego. Omówiono transport załogi, urządzeń i materiałów oraz urobku. Zasygnalizowano konieczność optymalizacji całego przebiegu procesu transportowego, co przekłada się na wydajny i efektywny system logistyczny, będący zarazem warunkiem koniecznym sprawnego i bezpiecznego prowadzenia wydobycia węgla. Przedstawiono koncepcję zintegrowanego systemu transportu poziomego nowoczesnej kopalni. Scharakteryzowano istotny element zintegrowanego systemu transportowego, jakim powinna być podwieszana kolej o napędzie własnym.
This publication describes the transport system used in coal mines. Elements of transport such as transport of personnel, equipment and materials and output were presented. The need to optimize the entire transport process influencing the efficient and effective logistics system was signalled, which is a prerequisite for the efficient and safe administration of coal mining. There is also a concept of the integrated horizontal transport system in a modern mine proposed. An important element of the integrated transport system, which should be a self-propelled monorail was characterized.

The article presents two ways of grid coordinates transformation from 1965 to 2000 system on the basis of a 3rd class horizontal control from the Oleśnica region. The coordinates transformations are carried out by District Offices and District Offices of Geodetic and Cartographic Documentation in their regions.

The Integrated Zone Comparison Technique (IZCT) was utilized with computerized polygraph instrumentation and the Academy for Scientific Investigative Training’s Horizontal Scoring System ASIT PolySuite algorithm, as part of a blind study in the detection of deception. This paper represents a synergy analysis of combining fMRI only deception data with each of the three individual physiological parameters that are used in polygraph. They include the electro-dermal response (EDR), pneumo, and cardio measurements. In addition, we compared the detection accuracy analysis using each single parameter by itself. The fMRI score and each individual polygraph parameter score on individual subjects were averaged to establish an overall score.

Opis:
Drilling with a rotary steerable system, the mechanical drilling speed increases by two times compared to drilling with a screw bottom-hole motor, which provides significant savings drilling-time. The effective length of the horizontal elbow increases, which enables to increase the production rate more than twice. It is found that in comparison with the bottom hole motor, rotary steerable system provides drilling smoother barrel, which reduces the risk of accidents to come out. The dependence between the type of the bent housing and the most rational fields of its application is revealed, recommendations on the choice of the rotary steerable system for various issues of directional drilling are developed.

The article presents studies on the electromechanical system of a metallurgical horizontal looper in the steelmaking industry. During the operation of this unit, parameters in the system changes due to variations of length and mass of the steel strip, these variations significantly change elastic properties and reduce moments of inertia. Various methods of combating elastic vibrations in electromechanical systems are analyzed in this article. The article presents a description of experiments with a horizontal looper. A mathematical model for two extreme positions of the unit was developed based on experimental results. Simulation experiments were made and their results are presented. A new control system structure is proposed to reduce vibrations in the electromechanical system of a horizontal looper. A power-up sensor, adjuster and velocity derivative feedback were added into the model structure. The proposed feedback link structure takes into account the change of steel strip length. From the experimental data it follows that the proposed system provides effective damping of mechanical vibrations in the steel strip if its length during operation is changed.

2D position error in the Global Positioning System GPS depends on the horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP) and User Equivalent Range Error UERE. The non-dimensional HDOP coeffcient, determining the influence of satellite distribution on the positioning accuracy, can be calculated exactly for a given moment in time. However, the UERE value is a magnitude variable in time, especially due to errors in radio propagation (ionosphere and troposphere effects) and it cannot be precisely predicted. The variability of the UERE causes the actual measurements (despite an exact theoretical mathematical correlation between the HDOP value and the position error) to indicate that position errors differ for the same HDOP value. The aim of this article is to determine the relation between the GPS position error and the HDOP value. It is possible only statistically, based on an analysis of an exceptionally large measurement sample. To this end, measurement results of a 10-day GPS measurement campaign (900,000 fixes) have been used. For HDOP values (in the range of 0.6-1.8), position errors were recorded and analysed to determine the statistical distribution of GPS position errors corresponding to various HDOP values. The experimental study and statistical analyses showed that the most common HDOP values in the GPS system are magnitudes of: 0.7 ( = 0.353) and 0.8 ( = 0.432). Only 2.77% of fixes indicated an HDOP value larger than 1. Moreover, 95% of measurements featured a geometric coeffcient of 0.973 - this is why it can be assumed that in optimal conditions (without local terrain obstacles), the GPS system is capable of providing values of HDOP ≤ 1, with a probability greater than 95% (2). Obtaining a low HDOP value, which results in a low GPS position error value, calls for providing a high mean number of satellites (12 or more) and low variability in their numer.

Opisano etapy formowania składu pociągu w technologii przeładunku poziomego oraz związane z tym rodzajem przeładunku zalety. Porównano system do istniejących technologii transportu kombinowanego. Prezentowany projekt jest wynikiem prac badawczych prowadzonych w ramach realizacji projektu rozwojowego nr R10-0065-10 „System transportu naczep drogowych na wózkach kolejowych w kombinowanym ruchu kolejowo-drogowym”.
An innovative solution “Modular intermodal combined transport system” used to carry the road trailers is presented in this article. The basic components of the system structure are shown. The stages of forming the set of train in the horizontal handling technology and benefits connected with this type of handling are described. The system is compared to the existing technology of combined transport. The presented project is the result of research works within realization of the development project No. R10-0065-10” System of road trailers transport on the railway bogies for the combined rail-road traffic”.

The paper presents the concept of an innovative solution of a wagon for transportation of standard road semi-trailers in combined traffic. The concepts of a wagon itself and a rotation mechanism designed for horizontal-skew trailer transshipment to a wagon are presented. The solution may be an alternative to the French system Modalohr, the German CargoBeamer and the Swedish Flexiwaggon.
W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcję innowacyjnego rozwiązania wagonu dla transportu standardowych naczep drogowych w ruchu kombinowanym. Przedstawiono koncepcje wagonu oraz mechanizmu obrotu przeznaczonego do poziomego, skośnego przeładunku naczepy na wagon. Rozwiązanie może stanowić alternatywę dla francuskiego systemu Modalohr, niemieckiego CargoBeamer oraz szwedzkiego Flexiwaggon.

In this paper, an optimal fuzzy controller based on the Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization (TLBO) algorithm has been presented for the stabilization of a two-link planar horizontal under-actuated manipulator with two revolute (2R) joints. For the considered fuzzy control method, a singleton fuzzifier, a centre average defuzzifier and a product inference engine have been used. The TLBO algorithm has been implemented for searching the optimum parameters of the fuzzy controller with consideration of time integral of the absolute error of the state variables as the objective function. The proposed control method has been utilized for the 2R under-actuated manipulator with the second passive joint wherein the model moves in the horizontal plane and friction forces have been considered. Simulation results of the offered control method have been illustrated for the stabilization of the considered robot system. Moreover, for different initial conditions, the effectiveness and the robustness of the mentioned strategy have been challenged.
