Opis:
The article is an attempt of a comparative theoretical reflection on melancholy, showing how this theme exists in the literature of different nations. The considerations were included in the form of “excerpts” on the model of the Czeslaw Milosz’s work Excerpts from Useful Tomes. Each excerpt is preceded by a brief interpretive-informing comment, which just throws light on the text and gives voice to the poems themselves. Due to the specifics of this form of expression, only poetic texts were included in the area of research. The aim of this article is to draw attention to the omnipresence of melancholy and show different varieties of melancholy writing taking into account the convergences and divergences in the poetic representations of this theme in the world literature.

It is already the author’s fourth publication in the excerpta series in which he makes available to Polish historians the abundant material on Polish affairs housed in the Vatican archives. The tradition of publications of this type has a long standing in Polish historical sciences. This time the author crossed the boundary of the Vatican and consulted two important Roman institutions: Archivio di Stato di Roma and Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Roma. The subject matter of this part of the excerpta refers to the territory of the historical Greater Poland and the representatives of the episcopate and religious orders active there. Each of the presented persons had to be connected to the history of the archdiocese of Gniezno or the diocese of Poznań in the times of Old Poland in their extensive historical borders.

Opis:
The paper deals with professionalisation of teacher training with a focus on future mother-tongue teachers, i.e. teachers of the Czech language and literature, with a view to the new National Curriculum and its sections, namely the subject group Language and Linguistic Communication. The authors also stress comprehensiveness and inseparability of language teaching and language education and point to the communicative approach based on the dialogic nature of effective teaching communication. The interconnection of teacher – content of education – pupil is seen through the naturalness of speech contact, respecting the aim of mother-tongue teaching defined as cultivation of the linguistic code in pupils with a teacher characterized as a model for speech.
