Opis:
In Polish drama published after 1989, everyday life is often presented as the fundamental measure of the heroes’ existence. The authors present the changes in the everyday life order, they underline oppressive and overwhelming character of common experiences, they present difficult, aggressive interpersonal relations. For example, in many texts the unavoid-able elements of the everyday life of the heroes are negligence, harms and even crimes. This way of representing everyday life, usually based on traditional mimetic techniques, does not create an idyllic image of everyday life.

Opis:
Traditional thinking about applying films in educational activities was based on treating them as “didactic vehicles”. Thanks to that approach, it was possible to “smuggle” desirable values, create attitudes or to model pro-social behavior among students. That approach of using art as an education tool (not only films but other forms of art, too) should be understood and associated with the dominance of a communication model in education that is seen through the prism of three basic elements: sender – medium – recipient. Such a view neglects the recipient’s activity in constructing the sense of the work, assuming that the recipient has to “read and acquire” what the sender has offered him. The article, by referring not only to theoretical pedagogical positions, but also to media studies, film studies and cultural studies, considers the possibility of pedagogical application of film from the hermeneutic perspective.

Everyone has the right to dignity, which is assigned by virtue of humanity. Although this right is guaranteed, it is sometimes in different situations violated. It does not always happen in a direct way, but through the actions, which do not take into account the specific needs of individuals due to their differences. The everyday life of such people differs from everyday life of other people. Disability constitutes one of the reasons of this situation. This article is an attempt to draw people’s attention to these aspects of the organization of social life, which not only make life more complicated for people with disabilities, but also contribute to the sense of humiliation that occurs in connection with emerging difficulties.

The articles brings up a question about everyday life as a space to adulthood experience. Its purpose is to take note of the significant role that everyday life may play in the informal adult education. As a standpoint in present reflections, the author takes on Maria Szyszkowska’s Philosophy of Everyday Life perspective, the latter being oriented above all to positive identification of the adults activities with their own lifestyle. The article with its theoretical unfolding of author’s perceptions based on many years of research, convinces us to recognize everyday life as a vital value in life and to make everyday life a matter of self-development of an adult as well as betterment of the relation with other members of the society.

Opis:
The purpose of this paper is to present the everyday school life of younger pupils in pandemic times. The rationale behind the study (conducted from the child’s perspective) lies in the conviction that minors are active actors who understand and interpret the social reality around them and, therefore, are the most reliable source of information (for adults) on the meaning of everyday situations for them (Corsaro, 2005). The research material was collected through a focus group interview with first grade pupils from selected primary schools in Poland. This helped the authors understand children’s experience of distance learning. Analysis of the collected material reveals the many and diverse experiences children have regarding e-learning. The study makes it possible to identify the main categories impacting their daily school-related activities, the tangible environment that constitutes the physical space behind these activities, and the accompanying emotions.

The article is focused upon some items pertinent to the interpenetration of the everyday/ non-everyday of education. Particular attention is paid to the need of opening of prospective teachers to new experiences, of making an attempt at understanding what their source is, and eventually, what consequences they might cause for the adopted educational activities. This text constitutes an introduction to the question of preparing teachers for making an eff ort aimed at designing everyday educational actions in non-obviousness, or ambiguity. The submitted research project was aimed at finding an answer to the question to what extent the dimension of everyday and non-everyday of education is present in projects pertinent to professional activities and elaborated by teachers. According to the results, the professional beliefs of prospective teachers of a small child concerning the quotidian education do not belong to the description of the generation of the young. While in one’s personal life non -ordinary events seem to be obvious, they are left out in relation to education.

Place and spirit of the place have their boundaries often conditioned more by the rules of culture than by the rules of nature. Home garden and settlement both play main roles in this phenomenological structure The author focuses on a problem of borders in cultural landscape that express themselves in landscapes as well as in garden composition. This article attempt is to describe the structure of everyday landscape that results from the way it's used in. There are private, common and public spaces in the everyday landscape, but there is also an important phenomenon of the borders between them.

Opis:
At the beginning of the 21st century, American superhero comics underwent far-reaching artistic, stylistic, and thematic transformations caused by the need to attract new readers and rebuild the weakened market position after the crisis of the 1990s. This is evident, especially in the case of the Ultimate Marvel imprint, which was supposed to have an above-average artistic value and modernize the stories of classic Marvel superheroes. In addition to a number of narrative measures (updated settings, deconstruction of the superhero morality, film framing, etc.), a lot of space was devoted to showing the quotidian life of superheroes, understood both as the need to lead a double life (Spider-Man) and act for the benefit of the society (X-Men, Ultimates). The writers, including Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Millar, and Brian K. Vaughn, also paid a lot of attention to the social consequences of superhero presence. The paper analyzes the forms of presenting the everyday life of Ultimate Marvel superheroes as well as attempts to determine whether such procedures serve to deconstruct or strengthen superhero narratives.

The article deals with the style qualification issue as a way of verbal thinking. It is noted that the language consciousness is a part of the public consciousness – moral, ethical, national, legal, environmental, historical, aesthetic, political, religious, etc., that is represented in oral and written language practice. It was proposed to differ functional styles features, based on the type of language awareness, and the system itself considered to be a communicative-style paradigm. It was emphasized that communication styles are formed historically as a result of constant connection of situational use of language according to its social and cultural functions. In this regard, it was determined that the functional style is a certain type of language and mental activity. It depends on extralinguistic factors (type of com- municants interaction, form, purpose of communication).

Opis:
The article unwraps notions related to young African women’s lifeworld experiences of physical disability. The study is positioned in the broad context of the theoretical frameworks of phenomenology, existential sociology, the social construction of reality, feminist disability theory, and intersectionality. Focus is given to the way social systems of cultural oppression and discrimination impact women with physical impairments and manifest in how they perceive and make meaning of their everyday life experiences. Women with physical impairments often experience a double measure of oppression-being both female and disabled. When these women try to engage in a normal life and interact with others, they experience barriers imposed on them by their social reality-particularly in the form of cultural norms and patriarchal ideals. There are also instances where participants demonstrate resilience in the face of negative social stereotyping, instances that clearly show that they are not different, and do not perceive themselves as being different to able-bodied women. Drawing on semi-structured in-depth interviews with eight young Black women who are living with physical disabilities in Lesotho, the objective of this article is to examine their everyday life experiences within a predominantly able-bodied society.

The birth of a child is a major event in family life, which makes parents take on an important role in their lives, characterised by new tasks, chief among which are the care and upbringing of their offspring. Unfortunately, in many families, some factors emerge that may affect their functioning, disrupt the course of family life, and leave a permanent mark on the family’s history. Such a situation can be difficult for many –and many parents find the process of accepting a child with a disability (Down syndrome) and themselves as parents of a child with Down syndrome a long and arduous journey, since taking care of a child, upbringing and supporting their development is an issue in itself, but also a challenge for parents. In many cases, both the child and their parents need support in their daily life, ensuring their high quality of life. The objective of this study is to outline the functioning of families of children with Down syndrome. Due to the complex nature of the issue at hand, only selected aspects of the functioning of families were diagnosed, showcasing the changes in the family life and its functioning as a result of the birth of children with Down syndrome. The study was based on qualitative methodologies, by analysing individual cases using interview technique and interview dispositions. The research group comprised 10 families of children with intellectual disabilities, and the interviewed group was made up of 10 mothers and 3 fathers in Zielona Góra.

Opis:
The Lesotho-South Africa border is regarded as highly porous with many Basotho migrants seizing work and educational opportunities in South Africa, while simultaneously maintaining strong ties to family members, businesses, and land in Lesotho. The fact that Sesotho is spoken on both sides of the border is one of the particular factors that has made it possible for people to move back and forth with relative ease. The border nevertheless remains an important political and socio-cultural barrier in the lives of those crossing it. While some have managed to acquire the permits that enable them to cross the border freely and take up formal work, others occupy a precarious legal status, which limits their housing and employment prospects. Moreover, the lives of all African migrants in South Africa have been affected by growing xenophobic violence in recent years. This has reinforced distinctions between insiders and outsiders, and limited the opportunities migrants have to experience belonging to South African society. Despite these emerging dynamics, the ways in which the border is perceived by migrants — as both a physical barrier between countries and as a social barrier distinguishing peoples — has yet to be explored. Drawing on narrative interviews conducted with Basotho migrants living in Bloemfontein, South Africa in a variety of legal and employment circumstances, this paper aims to highlight the meaning of the border in the migrants’ day-to-day lives.

The family is the subject not only of historical study, but also of sociological or culturalanthropological study. Research into the so-called demographic phenomena of birth, marriage and death occupies a significant position in the treatment of family history.
