    W artykule przedstawiono zakres i sposób realizacji badań eksploatacyjno-wdrożeniowych systemu monitoringu wykorzystującego zdalnie sterowany pojazd głębinowy. Badania potwierdzają słuszność założeń projektowych oraz określają własności użytkowe systemu i jego przydatność w zastosowaniach badawczych i komercyjnych. System monitoringu zbudowany na Wydziale Techniki Morskiej w Zachodniopomorskim Uniwersytecie Technologicznym testowano z okrętu wojennego w Zatoce Pomorskiej.
    A scope and manner of realisation of the exploitation and implementation trials of underwater monitoring system applying a remotely operated vehicle are described in the paper. Investigations approve rightness of the design assessments and its usability in research and commercial tasks. The monitoring system built at the Faculty of Maritime Technology, West Pomeranian University of Technology, has been tested from the warship in Pomorska Bay.

    Opis:
    Scientific diving (i.e. diving for research purposes organised by universities and research institutes) was excluded from the Act on the performance of underwater works in 2014. With the exception of the introduction of internal regulations at several academic institutions involved in underwater research, to date it remains unregulated at national level. In May this year, an initiative group consisting of six scientific institutions established the Polish Scientific Diving Committee - PKNN. Its aim is to unite Polish institutions using scientific diving in their activities, to represent their interests in the national and international arena, to co-operate and exchange experience, to adopt and develop appropriate standards and procedures, including those relating to safety, and to achieve the future introduction in Poland of regulations fully regulating scientific diving, as well as to support the development of this field of underwater research in Poland.
    Nurkowanie naukowe (tj. nurkowanie w celach badawczych organizowane przez uczelnie i instytuty badawcze) zostało wyłączone spod ustawy o wykonywaniu prac podwodnych w 2014 r. Za wyjątkiem wprowadzenia wewnętrznych regulacji w kilku instytucjach naukowych zajmujących się badaniami podwodnymi, na poziomie krajowym pozostaje ono jak dotąd nieuregulowane żadnymi przepisami. Grupa inicjatywna składająca się z sześciu instytucji naukowych w maju b.r. powołała do życia Polski Komitet Nurkowania Naukowego - PKNN. Jego celem jest zjednoczenie polskich instytucji wykorzystujących nurkowanie naukowe w swojej działalności, reprezentowanie ich interesów na arenie krajowej i międzynarodowej, współpraca i wymiana doświadczeń, przyjęcie i wypracowanie odpowiednich norm i procedur, w tym w zakresie bezpieczeństwa, a także doprowadzenie w przyszłości do wprowadzenia w Polsce przepisów regulujących w pełni nurkowanie naukowe, jak również wspieranie rozwoju tej dziedziny badań podwodnych w Polsce.

    Sterowanie zdalnie sterowanym pojazdem głębinowym wymaga od operatora dużych umiejętności i koncentracji. Niezbędne jest zastosowanie automatycznego układu sterowania ruchem pojazdu wspomagającego pracę operatora. W artykule przedstawiono zakres prac badawczych obejmujących opracowanie i przebadanie szeregu samouczących się algorytmów sterowania, umożliwiających automatyzację ruchu pojazdu głębinowego w zależności od postawionego zadania.
    Controlling the remotely operated vehicle requires high skill and concentration on the part of its operator, therefore it is necessary to implement an automatic control system for ROV operation to support the operator in his/her work. The underlying article presents the scope of research works including the development and analysis of a number of self-teaching control algorithms, which would enable the automation of ROV motions depending on a task given to the vehicle.

    Project Energy Complex Kovin refers to future coal mining and power plant construction. Coal from a Kovin deposit is in all parameters of quality suitable for burning in power plants and commercial use. Over the past 15 years in the "unprotected" part of the deposit there is a test pit with an experimental underwater coal mining method to collect data and examine the possibilities of this method in large-scale and reserves adequate for the construction of power plants. This paper presents the activities, activities that are in progress and highlights of the project.
    Projekt Kompleksu Energetycznego Kovin dotyczy przyszłej budowy kopalni oraz elektrowni. Węgiel ze złoża Kovin jest we wszystkich parametrach jakościowych odpowiedni do spalania w elektrowniach oraz do stosowania komercyjnego. Przez ostatnie 15 lat niechroniona część złoża w tym miejscu stanowiła wyrobisko testowe do badania eksperymentalnej metody podwodnego wydobywania węgla. Celem badań było pozyskanie danych oraz zweryfikowanie możliwości wykorzystania tej metody na dużą skalę i zapewnienia wystarczających ilości węgla dla funkcjonowania elektrowni. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia działania oraz czynności w toku, a także opisuje główne zamierzenia projektu.

    This article presents the information concerning aspects of the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) mission planning process, emphasizing maritime security monitoring and surveillance, and using side-looking sonars as a primary data source. The paper describes characteristic mission plan phases and gives suggestions for the operators, mainly concerning the safety and effectiveness of the AUV mission. The article describes the coverage path planning algorithm, which could be used to create an effective AUV mission plan, considering AUV manoeuvrability, sonar characteristics, and environmental factors. The results of the algorithms have been verified during the real mission of the AUV vehicle.

    Opis:
    The article is the first in a series of articles on the research and implementation of saturation diving technology in our country which presents the specific Polish conditions and achievements against the background of economic and historical circumstances. In view of the fact that research and implementation has a history of more than half a century, selected key figures of this period are recalled, some of whom have disappeared in the fogs of history. In the specialized literature of the world, the Polish underwater habitats of Meduza are among top 6 countries that researched and implemented, this high technology of saturation diving. Regarded as the inspirer , pioneer and creator of the first saturation diving, he designed and developed the technique and decompression with the cooperation of a team of enthusiasts from clubs and professional divers, as well as engineering staff from the Tri-City enterprises. In the first part of the article the author characterizes the saturation dives in comparison with short dives with particular emphasis on decompression, which is the key to safe diving. The article also takes into account the technical conditions for the implementation of the first saturation dives. The author discusses the general methodology of validation and verification of the assumed decompression, referring to the Polish conditions. He describes how the medical, technical, and organizational problems of implementation of saturation diving were solved in the pioneering period against the background of world achievements. Furthermore, the author describes Polish habitat constructions of Meduza and Geonur types and their application to underwater work on the Polish shelf and coastal areas. Despite the great progress in the field of medicine and technology, as well as organization, the problems of saturation diving, despite the passage of time, remain relevant , as these are the most difficult dives from the point of view of organization, underwater physiology and safety technology.
    Artykuł jest pierwszym z cyklu artykułów dotyczących badań i wdrażania technologii nurkowań saturowanych w naszym kraju. Przedstawiono w nim polską specyfikę i osiągniecia na tle uwarunkowań gospodarczych i historycznych w tej dziedzinie. W związku z tym, że historia badań i wdrażania technologii nurkowań saturowanych w naszym kraju ma ponad półwieczną historię, przypomniano w artykule wybranych animatorów, bohaterów tego okresu z których kilku zniknęło w mrokach dziejów. W specjalistycznej literaturze światowej w pierwszej 6-ce krajów, które badały i wdrażały, tą będącą "high technology” technologie znajduje się Polskia. W I części artykułu autor opisuje polskie konstrukcje habitatów typu Meduza i Geonur i ich zastosowanie do prac podwodnych na polskim szelfie i akwenach przybrzeżnych. Mimo wielkiego postępu w dziedzinie medycyny i techniki oraz organizacji problemy nurkowań saturowanych mimo upływającego czasu wciąż są aktualne, gdyż są to nurkowania najtrudniejsze z punktu widzenia organizacji, fizjologii podwodnej i techniki zabezpieczającej.
