Second World War - Opis:
- The Upper Thames Patrol was a unique military unit. Created by enthusiasts and civilian workers, it became one of the most unusual Home Guard units. As one of the few HG units, members of UPT were equipped with motor boats, yachts and many small crafts which, although poorly armed and lacking armor protection, became one of the most important elements of every plan concerning evacuation of Londoners or the defence of the capital. Sadly, after the war they were overshadowed by the “little ships from Dunkirk” legend, but the UPT is steadily reclaiming its place in history.
